Bizarre story coming out of the US - a prominent CNet editor and his family are missing, and a massive search is underway in Oregon. 35-year-old James Kim, his wife Kati, and their two children, Penelope (4 years) and Sabine (7 months) left San Francisco for a Thanksgiving trip. They were last seen November 25th, when Kim didn’t show up for work Tuesday, a missing persons report was filed.

James Kim is a senior editor at CNet, covering digital audio.

Update: Searchers have found Kati Kim and the 2 children, stranded with their car. James Kim started walking out for help Saturday and is still missing.

Udpate: The body of James Kim was found by searchers, about a mile from his family car.

    It’s a sad story getting worse each day they stay missing. Search now focuses in Josephine and Douglas counties.
