There is a rumour that has not been verified that Michael Ledeen US writer, professor and Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute has died. The conservative news site that did not state it’s source says Ledeen had been ill for some time.

Update: I’ve been conned.
This was posted Saturday on Jon Swift’s blog, it’s a left/right inside pundit bit that sailed right over my head. I didn’t see it in Technorati, nor did I see it linked back on the site above. My mistake, I was fooled by a time stamp and satirical snark. My apology to Mr. Ledeen and his family.
Thanks to Randy McCob of The Upward Way Press for the heads up and for being kind enough to not point out how stupid I can be :^)

Possibly, you have been had:

I think it is a joke aimed at Ledeen’s reporting of Kahmenei’s “death”.
Or, possibly, you have had me.
Tough one Randy…traditional media certainly haven’t said anything.
It was written by Jon Swift (supposedly a twist on the name of author Johnathan Swift) and people such as myself are taking it at face value.) There are posts on political blogs saying he is undead.
And what is tough is this could really hurt his family, true or false.
I’m quite prepared to have ‘been had’ on this - you’d think by now the outlets he works for would say something if it’s true.
If it is a left/right thing going on in the political blogsophere it’s a cheap shot.
I’ve been conned, read the whole thing at the site I linked too and took it at face value.
Jon Swift is supposedly spoofing the Khomani thing, and posted this on his blog Saturday.
Thanks for the heads up.
