   I think this is very disturbing - the drought situation in Australia. Has anyone considered what the people of Australia will do if this season does not bring much rain. It would seem that the water sources will run dry soon if many are at between 10% and 20% capacity? So, what if the major water sources became bone dry. Where would the folks get drinking and bathing water from?

   This drought, though severe, is a common occurance in Australia:
   The “Federation drought” 1895-1902

   The 1914-15 drought

   The World War II droughts 1937-45

   The 1965-68 drought

   Short but sharp - The 1982-83 drought

   The long El Niño - 1991 through 1995
