Update: Video is a good medium for exposing this cult. In attempting to pre-empt the BBC’s show last week by posting the ‘Sweeney yelling’ clip on YouTube and then rushing to media with it, (The Telegraph) Scientologist leaders fell for what is called bull-baiting, one of their own techniques. Don’t believe me? Here is previous video. one features a former trainer. I believe Sweeney. I believe he lost it, and kept it more under control than the initial YouTube video would have you believe.
As I point out in the comment section the BBC is not a neophyte when it comes to covering Scientology.

Everyone should be screaming at Scientologists. They repeat the same lies over and over again and if they won’t stop, the only recourse is to increase the volume. It’s not a religion, it’s a business, and a very fraudulent one at that, run by crooks and liars.
Kudos to Sweeney (in the clip, he regains composure briefly, so it’s apparent that the shouting was partly for effect.
It’s time to put an end to this nasty cult.
At least Sweeney is being honest about getting hauled on the carpet.
I think he did turn the tables, it isn’t going to hurt Panoramas ratings one bit, but on another level, I would be upset too.
Panorama knows Scientology is about control, they know BBC guidelines. Sweeney was able to successfully provoke, while acknowledging how much he was provoked.

Sweeney recounts three people in the UK, while he was filming in the US. And the lawyers, letters of protest, political pressure - same old same old.

Any comment reader can see the direct attacks on the BBC, Sweeney and Panorma and the dissemination, the sub language is all there.
The BBC has the longer clip, Tommy Davis loses it. The crew also got a shot of a scientologist videographer filming them, they have the resources to deal with this group.
Time Magazine, The LA Times, The Boston Herald, ABC’s 20/20, CBC’s Fifth Estate, Comedy Central, Google - they’ve all been there. When you understand Scientology media techniques, Sweeney does not look at all like a buffoon.
