Gays in the Military - Yesterday’s news in the UK

Canadian Forces have had an official policy in place since 1992 - restrictions for service were lifted - sexual orientation discrimination violated the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. However, it wasn’t until 1996 that same sex military partners were given benefits.
