The Prairie Wrangler, an award winning conservative blog has a post up on a Conservative Party of Canada’s strategy being announced next week.

No, not that war, his new “War on Drugs”. I know, I know, everyone seems intent on spending their precious partisan time with the eternal question of whether or not the Tories’ new attack ads against Dion are fair, good, both or neither - incidentally, one correct answer is: “Who gives a fuck, Alex?”. However, if you insist on parsing the subtle academic nuances of Harper’s brutishness and Dion’s timidity, respectively, look no further than the partisan reaction, which conveniently enough paints Liberal supporters as wimps and Conservative supporters as So, everyone’s right!!! Now that that fascinating mystery is solved, I figure I might as well attempt to draw attention to something of at least qualified substance that has more or less slipped by the wayside: Harper’s proposed “War on Drugs”, as some are calling it. I have a question: what the hell are we trying to accomplish here, really…

Olaf is focused on what’s important.
Meantime The Conservative Party attack ads are a diversionary topic of conversation. And while there are more important issues being discussed by thoughtful people, Conservatives pile over to Liberal MP Garth Turner’s post on The Rhino party and condemn him for frivolity.
Are some of the Turner commenters paid by the Conservative Party to leave comments at a Liberal MP’s blog?

Whoever is getting paid for this latest offering at an official Conservative site, needs a serous reality check from fellow party members.
Who sanctioned this? Do decent MP’s in the party know about this dog blog?
Would they be permitted to protest this dreck?

Head over to the Conservative Party of Canada ad site and read ‘Kyoto’s’ blog. It’s stunningly juvenile, with a cringe factor of 11 of a scale of 10.  This is going to take  Conservative Party members registering intelligent complaints.

It’s not even up to the sub-par effort of the Fox Network attempt at humour recently. The 1/2 Hour News Hour has been picked up for another 13 episodes.

It’s sad seeing a major party in Canada reduced to this. It’s even sadder watching a sitting government bring in a war on drugs that has a known track record of failing.

At least two thirds of our miseries spring from human stupidity, human malice and those great motivators and justifiers of malice and stupidity, idealism, dogmatism and proselytizing zeal on behalf of religious or political idols. - Aldous Huxley
