Excellent.

David Domke,  Mass Communications associate professor (University of Washington) is joining the blog Street Prophets. I discovered him a few years ago, I like how and what he communicates about public language and it’s imact on us.

His research and teaching interests focus on U.S. politics, journalism, and public opinion. He is the author of the 2004 book, God Willing?: Political Fundamentalism in the White House, the “War on Terror,” and the Echoing Press. He works with organizations and political campaigns on strategic communication, and his new book, The God Strategy: How Religion Became A Political Weapon in America (co-authored with Kevin Coe), will be published in autumn 2007 by Oxford University Press.

In 2002 Domke received the University of Washington’s Distinguished Teaching Award, the university’s highest honor for teaching.  In 2006, he was named the Washington state Professor of the Year by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.
