I am. Quite a bit actually.

British bloggers didn't have to dig to deep to see where the money and the impetus is coming from.

Adolescents are a huge block of consumers - and vulnerable.

Hey, if you can exploit peer pressure, sell jewelry and event tickets and say it's about God...gives new meaning to making out like a bandit.

The Silver Ring Thing owners have clearly stated their objective, it isn't about caring.

Am I missing something?

I still don't fully understand why wearing jewelry is considered an important aspect of virginity by Christian fundamentalists... am I missing something?

Extreme ideas almost always have extream blind spots (I say almost, becuase Jesus' ideas were extreme, yet w/o the blind spots).

I am so thankful that the church community that I grew up in has never been ashamed to speak about all of sexuality, good, bad, ugly. Most of all it's promoted, not outside marriage, but promoted as a wonderful gift. Before my wife and I were married the subject was talked about in great detail, we learned everything from different positions, things that might cause us trouble, and how we should treat it as a gift for each other and not as a tool. I know that w/o that advice from our spiritual leaders it would be a very different story today.

Programs like the ones mentioned above give Christianity a foolish look, the religious legality and rigidness has become our biggest blind spot. Christians can be sexy, and I think should be, not in the flaunting lustful, self centered way of the world, but in Christ's way, lovingly.
