I spent the last two weekends playing Rayman Raving Rabbids.

It took me that long to stop laughing and try to buckle down to the 70 mini games in thisrabbids.jpg first Rayman game for the Wii. I’ve never enjoyed a game enough to get all the way through one before. The Wii records your play time, we laughed for just over 40 hours.

This is a hilarious and addictive game, while there were a few glitches, it is ideally suited to the uniqueness of the Wii.

Hands down the megalomaniacal stupid bunnies steal the show.
The Rayman series, which put the company Ubisoft into gaming company big leagues, is available on different consoles. This is super fun on the Wii whether you are playing by yourself or with others. While the story line could use some improvement,  I got so caught up in the mini-challenges in the story mode, it wasn’t a big deal. And I haven’t even attempted the score mode yet.

Lots have been written about the Rayman series, so I won’t go there. I hesitate to recommend games given we all have different skill levels and interests, but I am not hesitating to recommend this for Wii fans. I have never laughed this hard or enjoyed a game as much as this. I found myself wondering what the developers at Ubisoft were drinking, smoking or munching when they put this merriment together.
I decided not to read reviews, walkthroughs or cheats, and just started playing.

The bunnies are the stars of this game. You don’t need to be an experienced super gamer to plunge right in. All you need is a bit of time, your Mii, nunchuk and extra batteries. (I went through two sets)

Rayman is having a picnic with the Globoxes (little round blue friends of his) when the  bunnies show up and kidnap everyone. They are separated, Rayman is thrown into a cell and made to go through challenges to entertain a stadium of bunnies and earn his escape. (The bonus shoot outs with plungers to rescue the globoxes occur in a wide variety of environments)
The bunnies aren’t that bright and you get to torture and torment them as Rayman earns enough plungers to stick them to the wall of his cell and get out of there. Rayman Raving Rabbids is wickedly silly fun and good exercise.

Some of the level titles: Bunnies never struck gold, bunnies have a soft spot for plungers, bunnies don’t rest in peace, bunnies don’t give gifts, bunnies can’t fly, bunnies can’t shear sheep, bunnies are heartless with pigs, bunnies have no memory, bunnies don’t use toothpaste, bunnies have natural rhythm…and yes there are more!
I get laughing just typing this.
