No wonder hundreds if not thousands of people have fled the Southern Baptist Convention since the Conservative Resurgence.
How would you handle full time ministerial responsibilities, board responsibilities and receiving a 153 page email from someone who spiritualizes his complaints and seems to project his own shortcomings?

A trustee with a missions board doesn’t like blogs and he doesn’t like Rev. Wade Burleson of Grace and Truth to You. Attempts by Burleson to speak with this trustee have failed time and time again, so he has posted the email (also sent to fellow trustees) prior to a meeting in a couple of weeks.

This is about hanging onto power. It is about control.  It is about slinging mud and hoping it sticks. It’s pathetic and it’s sad and distracts from the tremendous responsibilities this board has.  Burleson has advocated transparency and openness.
And he and his fellow trustees get a 153 page screed from an obsessed person who is supposed to be coming alongside and doing his job to support the board he is part of.

153 page email. That’s speaks volumes.

Just want to say I don’t go to Wades’s church, but do support him. I do agree that the Sourthern Baptist is so head strong that they can’t see their hand infront of their face. Wade has a drawing from the holy spirit and I give him credit of sticking to it. —-that means pulling away from southern babtist if that is what it takes. After all the baptist name will not take us to heaven—just to Jesus!!! So pour it on him—-we are ready for that man of god to pull out if that is what it takes.

I understand more criticism (productive) has surfaced about the missionary board Rev. Burleson serves on. It didn’t come from him, but it has come from fellow board members trying to get the job done.

It’s published, it’s public, now board members have a choice to make.

Censor more of their own or examine themselves.
