Australia – John Howard given the boot?

Polls have closed in Australia’s federal election. You can watch results in real time here.

It’s possible Howard as well as his party are going down if early returns are any indication.

Update: Howard’s party has been defeated, he just conceded, and will probably lose his own seat, no sitting PM has lost his seat since 1929, there is a 25 seat majority lead for Rudd’s Labour Party.
