So we get back to what are essentials and non-essentials. You know I draw my line on what the Bible explicitly teaches against (hence my belief that this leter is misplaced), but that being said, it is a beautiful expression of desire for unity. I think all denominations could learn much from applying this letter, not neccessarily in its immediate context, but in their general disputations.

It doesn't, does it?:^)

You mentioned 2 specific churches in the diocese, I made an assumption you are in BC and wanted the latest on how the Anglican Church of Canada is responding. My apology.

Bene D, I'm confused about your comment #5. You appear to address it to me, but it concerns issues I didn't mention in my comment (#2).

there is no need for ‘safety’ from ecclesiastical oppression.

The people of Christ Church, Hope BC, and St John's Shaughnessy, Vancouver, would dispute that, based on their own experience. Both parishes are under Bishop Ingham's jurisdiction. See also this:

I humbly suggest you seek the views of Bp Ingham's adversaries before accepting his version of events.

Another who blesses homosexual unions exhorting people not to violate ancient customs. Does he really think we won't see the ludicrous hypocrisy? Someone please tell Mr. Ingham that hypocrisy in religious leaders is not very endearing.
