I’m too tired to blog. Muscle tired, the worked hard enough kind of tired where reading is a stretch.  The plant yourself in the easy chair and stare at the TV or daydream kind of tired. The sleep very well kind of tired.
Shovelled three times today, staying ahead of the snow, we still have two weather warnings out for this regions, but we got off much luckier than other parts of North America.  It’s remained cold, and thankfully will remain cold; we don’t have rain, ice, high winds, power outages or harmful weather related issues to deal with here. Just snow. It’s incredibly beautiful outside, the end of a blizzard beautiful, a slow down and draw a deep breath beautiful. It’s still the neighbourhood, but enough snow came down, it’s as if shape shifters got mischievous and you blink to get your bearings in a usually familar landscape. A garbage bin or a picnic table becomes transformed. Â
We’ve had the kind of winter storm where the kid in you wants to come out and play.Â
The rest of the shovelling can wait until tomorrow until after the plows go through.Â

It’s days like today that make me almost glad I ripped muscles in my abdomen in September and am not allowed to lift anything for a while yet. (I didn’t go to the doctor ’til a few weeks ago – so I wasn’t healing – as I kept lifting.) Helps to have two sons home for Christmas to deal with the white stuff.
I’m sorry to hear you tore abdominal muscles, glad you saw a doctor. The kids can do the shovelling and give the old man some healing time.:^)
