A small group of Methodist bloggers in the UK are having entirely too much fun.
So much so in fact that only one of them has gotten around to telling the rest of us about their conference.:^)
We had a very useful conversation this afternoon with Dave Webster, who is in charge of electronic communication for the Methodist Church, and his colleague Toby Scott, who looks after Media Relations and was with us through a combination of a speakerphone and a Campfire chatroom. We talked about what it means to be a ‘Methodist blogger’, and whether that is different from ‘a Methodist who blogs’. We shared some thoughts about the way that our headquarters uses the web and a number of positive suggestions were made. We also talked about the way the lives of bloggers could be made a bit easier, and I’m sure that some of these will be taken up.
Later we talked about some of our experiences of conflict arising out of our blogging and had a very encouraging time of sharing.
They are discussing everything from blogging to kangaroo farts.
More posts and pictures are promised.
Pam BG, Turbulent Cleric, octomusings, Ramblings from Red Rose, Methodist Preacher are some of the attendees.
The get together (blog conference?) is in Worcestershire at a retreat centre called Barnes Close.

Thanks for the mention! We are having fun. I suspect that the reason my colleagues haven’t posted anything is down to the flaky wifi. I managed to get a sensible signal after the others had all retired…
Actually none of the rest of us really exist, Richard just runs 8 blogs to make himself feel important. Must of been interesting for him to spend 24 hours in a conference centre with only his multiple virtual personalities for company.
It should be obvious that his photos are simply photoshopped random people from google images.
