A British blogger who supports The British National Party persuasion caught the attention of American bloggers when he claimed he was going to be arrested for his views. Several sprang to his defense.
The support for him was astonishingly poorly researched.
Richard Bartholomew of Bartholomew’s Notes on Religion has been following the initial support of Lionheart and as the truth came out, the bailing of his US supporters.
You can link back to original reports off this post.
Sadly, No! also had Lionheart’s lies in it’s cross hairs.
Paul Rae is being asked by police to come in for an administrative interview when he returns to England. Bedfordshire News:
Published 2 years, 1 month ago 4 commentsPaul Ray, who ‘blogs’ as ‘Lionheart’, left Britain for an undisclosed location in the Middle East two years ago.
He claims he was receiving death threats which made it impossible to stay in his home town of Luton.
Since leaving Britain, he has regularly updated his blog with news and opinions on subjects such as the heroin trade, Islamic fundamentalism and police corruption.
Bedfordshire on Sunday understands that Mr Ray has been intending to return to Britain for over a year, in order to make preparations to emigrate officially and permanently.
Mr Ray is a self-confessed former drug dealer and now a born-again Christian.
On January 3, Mr Ray received an email from Bedfordshire police which he has since posted on his website.
From Hate Crime office Ian Holden, it read: ‘The offence that I need to arrest you for is “Stir up Racial Hatred by displaying written material” contrary to sections 18(1) and 27(3) of the Public Order Act 1986.
‘You will be arrested on SUSPICION of the offence.
You would only be charged following a full investigation based on all the relevant facts and CPS consent.
…A spokesman for Bedfordshire Police said: “We are aware of this particular internet site and we are taking action.”

Re: “A British blogger who supports The British National Party”
This is a lie.
You should be ashamed of yourself.
He is a Christian, a monarchist, and a democrat.
He is a decent man, he is not in any way racist, and he is not at all anti-Semitic.
I went searching through all the links for proof that Lionheart supports BNP.
What he wrote was that the BNP is the only party willing to defend free speech and stand up to Islamification.
He also has said n numerous occasions that he wasn’t completely aware of everything that the BNP stands for. Even when he was defending the BNP’s right to free expression, he also wrote (and this was from the links you provided, which were allegedly proof of Lionheart’s racism:
“[By] Patriots I don’t just mean white British I mean every British Patriot who lives in this country who is British and that loves living our British way of life, those who are not seeking or wanting to transform this country into an Islamic state ruled by Sharia law.”
He has also been clearly 100% supportive of Israel all along.
He clearly endorses Oona King for Lord Mayor of London.
If you did any research you would find that while many BNP supporters on the web support Lionheart’s rights, they despise him for being a “Jew-hater” and for endorsing a “wog” for mayor.

You have slandered Paul Ray (Lionheart) and you owe him an apology.

From Stormwatch:

- “so now we should show how surport for a person who’s backing a wog to be London Mayor”
- “Its not necessarily a case of ‘backing him’ and thus ‘all that he stands for’, but if we are to be clever about this and tactical, we need to get behind the issues and use these situations to our advantage. Surely, thats a reasonable and sensible thing to be doing – or do you genuinely believe that we should not help this person and protect his interests in this massive scandal he’s exposing about the plight of the indigenous people at the hands of authorities and the drug dealing scum, just because he differs in his views about ‘racism’ and the Jews?.”
- “Whilst I support Lionheart for his blog on attacking Islam, I can assure you that Lionheart would not support this forum. He has very strong biblical beliefs on Israel and their place in the world and has even stronger negative views on what we call “White Nationalists”. I link to his site but he has removed my link back.”
- “He deserves our support (regardless of his religious inclinations)”
- “Paul makes it clear that he is no expert on politics. (I am sure that his experiences make it inevitable that he will become a WN at some time in the future) – His naivety on this matter is surely forgivable? His support for the state of Israel also puzzles me. May I also make it clear that I do not agree with him on either of these issues ! It is his unflinching factual reporting of the Pakistani Moslem/Criminal “community” in Luton that earns him a lot of respect locally. This “community” really believe that they OWN Luton, as a captured territory ! – they have been encouraged in this belief by the corrupt local politicians. That is also how it works in their tribal homelands.”
In my previous post I meant to write that British BNP-types support Ray even though he is what they call a “Jew-Lover” (not “hater”) and endorses Oona King.
I hope you will correct my error.
Akira, you corrected yourself well.
Lionheart is a troubled young man, working out his politics, his thoughts, emotions, needs and place in the world.
I won’t apologize for saying he supports the BNP. He may well have not voted for them, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t support the ideology. The BNP’s desire to present a more friendly image than white supremecy is political expediency not relevant to their key platforms.

If the US accepts his request for asylum, his compatibility with the BNP is a moot point.
The police made it clear he was not to be arrested, he was to be interviewed. He has chosen to misrepresent that request and not go back.
