The 2007 Canadian Blog Awards

Congratulations to Jordon Cooper, and Belinda at Whatever He Says.
17 blogs were nominated in this category and as we Canadians get used to blog awards, it is my hope this category will be entered by religious bloggers across the spectrum and across the country in the years to come.

Whooo hoooo!
Thank you!
Blog on!

This Canadian Blog Award wasn’t about what I have achieved, it wasn’t about how many readers come to BDBO, to me it has been about the hope of things to come.

This is a very odd day to be receiving this, that hope was dimmed by my stupidity and insensitivity yesterday at another blog.
Knowledge of religion does not make us better people, I’m acutely aware today of how much I need grace and discernment, and what a gift forgiveness is.

I read Jordon is tired and needs a quiet weekend, Belinda was busy running around doing chores and I spent the day thinking about how clumsy I can be about letting others know how much I appreciate them and how loved they are.

If I speak in the tongues[a] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,[b] but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. I Corinthians 12:1-8 NIV

    Dear Bene Diction,
Thank you for your kind comment and congratulations on Whatever He Says. Congratulations to you, too.

This has been an exciting adventure, has it not?

God bless you in your blogging and writing.

I feel like a poor excuse for a blogger for having to ask this, but how do I get the icon onto the blog? :) I’d be so grateful if you could explain!

arr arrrr arrrr ! Well, then you just asked another poor excuse for a blogger because I don’t know.:^)

I can’t tell you how to put it onto your sidebar, I’ve never done it.
I have a tech company do this stuff for me, I stay away from anything code.

There is no shame in hollering for some help. Jordon Cooper would know, he’s familar with blogspot.

    Congratulations!

I mean this with all sincerity that I am happy that you have achieved so much through your writing.

As you are probably aware, religion in any form is not my pursuit in humanity, but I am glad that you present it in such a way that it brings value to those who seek it.

    Well done! Keep it up.

    Dave thank you.
    That means a great deal.
What you do, you do the best in Canada, bar none.
Hopefully BDBO can continue to help people understand and think through the differences between religion, religions, relationship and faith.

When all else fails, call upon the son-in-law in residence. The icon is on and I am happy. :) Thanks for being so helpful.
