I wasn’t expecting to get a picture with a small digital camera, I’ve been outside watching the eclipse, and thought I’d give it a shot. Wishing I had my old SLR.
What I wasn’t expecting was the camera to catch breath vapour. The sky is cloudless, and while it’s cold, (-22C)  my breath in the shot was an unintended effect.  The shadow on the moon started as reddish orange and changed to grey. And of course the view is much better and bigger with the naked eye.  I got this about 9:44 pm. I’m warmed up, so it’s back out to watch the rest. 10:26 pm.  It’s full now and back to a beautiful red-orange. Cool.

    -22C!

The eclipse was in the early hours of the morning here, and it was very cloudy so I didn’t bother getting out of bed to have a look. Thanks for sharing your view.

It brings out the kid in me, I admit it!

It was awesome, humbling, jawdroppingly beautiful. I am so grateful we understand what is occuring, it makes it no less amazing, and draws me to the wonder of a good, faithful Creator I often take for granted.

People here banded together to enjoy it with each other from start to finish.

(We layer for warmth, the air was still and dry so it doesn’t feel that cold)

Not that long ago civilizations would have been in a panic and fear because they didn’t have the knowledge of what was occuring. With our knowledge it remains thrilling.

I had a long hot bath after it was over and am sitting here with a hot pack on my neck before heading to bed.:^)

I hope you have the joy of seeing the next one.
