Lifesite and World Net Daily are reporting that Focus on the Family broadcasts are screened for compliance with Canadian law before they are broadcast here.
Boo hoo. I don’t know how many people actually listen to Fotf, they are seen as a political US activist group with offshoots and some of their rhetoric does not stand up to Canadian law. So are we are supposed to listen to them or US complain Fotf have to obey Canadian law like everyone else? If Canadian staff aren’t comfortable vetting Dobsons bigoted and politically motivated broadcasts that are really about his US audience, they can close up shop if their economic goals aren’t effective. This is a huge organization quite willing to promote bigotry and deception as pointed out by Truth Wins Out.
The WND article again brings up the BC MacGregor Ministries. The ministry responded to a BDBO post here in the comment section.

Would you regard this post as being a benediction? It seemed like an angry ill-informed rant which reveals a prejudice against a particular religious expression.
But thats just me.
It’s not a benediction Kevin.
It is a rant against a corporation that lost it’s way a long time ago.
As for being ill-informed – tell me what is factually incorrect?
Kevin,
I’m sorry to say it, but so much of what comes out of both WND and FOTF is miles from anything resembling legitimate “religious expression”.
The disappointing part with this most recent pack of lies is in the blatant distortion they rely upon. Given the exemptions expressed in Canadian law for religious discussion of matters, one has to imagine that either WND and FOTF are lying through their teeth, outrageously ignorant of Canadian law, or knowingly authoring hate messages against GLBT people.
I do find Benediction’s characterization of Dobson’s organization as a ‘corporation that lost its way’ intriguingly accurate.
