Because we tend to pick up media from various sources I was wondering how The Conservative Party of Canada would handle the optics of their private media briefing yesterday - it was a pretty good guess how media would handle it.

Steven Taylor head of The Blogging Tories is handling the online damage.

The Conservative Party has pointed out contradictions that exist between the affidavit sworn and supporting material provided in the appendices to the affidavit. Here are the contradictions that they emphasize (received via email (on the record) from the CPC):

He doesn’t say who in The Conservative Party sent him the response, but there it is.

Political bloggers et al have complained about the tight reins The Prime Ministers Office has held on party members and officials. The reins get loosened a bit and we get yesterdays select media sideshow.

The search warrant and accompanying documents are now online, where no one has to rely on big bad media to make up their minds for them.  Gotta love the internet.
