Believe it or not, that’s not a window, that’s a spider web. Typical Canadian spring, we have sunshine one day, snow or rain the next.  One of the first creatures out every year are spiders and they get busy spinning. It snowed and I was quite impressed with how much weigh this web held. No sign of the builder, once it got cold enough to snow I suspect he/she/it went where spiders go to weather a storm.
I haven’t been posting lately, the flu I caught in April is hanging on and I am weary. The blog has been buried in spam and I got hold of Creed-design today for an upgrade. Turns out Rachel Cunliffe is left-handed and is adjusting to the new platform about the same way I will be. This new 2.5 platform is made for right-handed people. If I have to chose between spam and adjusting my online home to right-handedness, I’ll take adjusting. I’m just not as easy to upgrade as a platform, or quite as energetic as that spider was. There are times when I’m sick I really don’t like living in my head, like any human being I get irritable, lose my concentration and even fun things like blogging just aren’t fun.
So BDBO is upgraded, the spam is gone, the snow is gone, the spider is back spinning and the flu is leaving slowly. Charles Simic:
