Hand back the fake doctorates and we’ll talk

Right on schedule, The Canada Family Action Coalition wades into the fray to let Canadians know how upset they are Dr. Henry Morgantaler is receiving the Order of Canada.

In accordance with the Paragraph 25(c) of the Constitution of the Order of Canada we hereby request that the Governor General make an Ordinance terminating this person’s appointment to the Order. Under section: Policy and Procedure for Termination of Appointment to the Order of Canada, paragraph 3. (b) The Advisory Council shall consider the termination of a person’s appointment to the Order of Canada if (b) the conduct of the person (i) constitutes a significant departure from generally-recognized standards of public behaviour which is seen to undermine the credibility, integrity or relevance of the Order, or detracts from the original grounds upon which the appointment was based; or (ii) has been subject to official sanction, such as a fine or a reprimand, by an adjudicating body, professional association or other organization.

Henry Morgantaler’s conduct is unbecoming that of a Member of the Order of Canada and thereby tarnishes all recipients of this tremendous award.

Conduct unbecoming.
Oh.
I’d say fake honourary degrees are unbecoming gentlemen.
We’ll leave Conrad Black out of the discussion for the sake of brevity.

I expect The Roman Catholic Church of Canada to protest, their current position is life begins at conception and it is a mortal sin for any of their employees to publicly acknowledge a different point of view.

(Dr.) Brian Rushfeldt and (Dr.) Charles McVety are not bound by Catholic canon or natural law, so this must be a matter of er, conscience.

Seriously gentlemen, shed any fake honourary degrees from your resumes and it may be easier to listen what you have to say.
Your acceptance of your ‘honourary’ doctorates are conduct unbecoming for men and women who claim to be followers of Jesus Christ. You haven’t care to listen to educational credibility concerns.

And gentlemen, not all Christians are interested in seeing legal abortion banned in this country.

For nineteen years, 1969 to 1988, Dr. Morgantaler’s admittedly violated Canadian law. His conduct constituted a significant departure from generally recognized standards of public behaviour. According to numerous media reports in print, television and radio his appointment undermines the credibility, integrity and relevance of the Order.

One of the details that is conveniently forgotten is:

Dr Morgentaler taught the aspiration technique that he used at the clinic, to other physicians. Many worked at the clinic, unofficially. Morgentaler took the fall for all the other doctors. It was strategic, and it was sheer courage under fire. He chose to be the public face of abortion rights so that others – doctors, and women – would not be maligned and attacked as he was, and still continues to be.

I believe MP Maurice Vellacott (sponsor- bill C-537) came up with this talking point – has anyone attempted to verify?

Also according to reports it appears that the Advisory Committee violated long standing protocol requiring unanimous consent approving a nominee by resorting to a mere majority vote. With such manipulation of the system we question if the Chair’s well known “unwritten constitutional principles” subverted accepted procedure.

I commend you for for your careful request to The Chancellery of Honours, I trust they treat your request with the seriousness you have shown this country you deserve.

PS: While all the political back and forth goes on, how about a shout out to the men and women who care for the 66+ thousand Canadian children who need adoption? Foster parents, agencies workers who don’t abuse these kids who want a home?

While on the subject of evangelicals, has anyone else noticed
the disappearance of Miracle Channel from the airwaves?

It’s no longer on Rogers Cable TV in Toronto at ch.397.
It can’t be found anywhere else.

Is it gone from other cable and satellite systems, also?

On the subject of pro-choice and diploma mills it strikes me that there is a dichotomy.

Dr. Charles McVety and his buddies have several goals:

1. Power. They have the PM’s ear and walk with MP’s. To them, that’s next to walking with God.

2. Control. You can’t legislate morality. See #1.

3. Money. Lots of it. Money grows on trees. It comes from the average Christian who believes their message. It comes from the political supporters who want their Bills to pass through parliament so they can legislate morality. It comes from their diploma mills, an evil and horrible thing. It comes from horrors like the shows Todd Bently and other healers put on, preying on the sick and downtrodden. It comes through legitimate-looking mainstream christian organizations that suck up money with the message that our families are in crisis in this country, the evil that is society must be enlightened through their ministry with their books and DVD’s and tele-evangalism and stadium revivials.

4. Recognition. They need to be loved by their followers. Most, like Dr. McVety (who is just a small player in this evil) attack those who would generate negative press against them (sound familiar Canada?) One does not dare say anything negative about any of the above leaders who have been annointed by God. They have nothing to fear, their followers attack like a hive of bees while they sit in the safety of their churches and offices.

Make no mistake. Whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap.

Since when did God put a degree on sin? The love of money is the root of all evil. So where does that put those of us who want more than our neighbour? Don’t we all once in a while?

What makes lying and stealing through some of these megachurch leaders, diploma mill graduates, healers et al any different than those who think Dr. Morgentaller’s work is evil, or those who oppose them as enemies of the church? Only God can judge a man’s heart. That’s not my job, I am not the assistant Holy Spirit. I cannot judge them, I can only expose their lies. The priest that gave back his Order of Canada had the strength of his conviction behind him. He also has the shelter of his title to hid his background. Shame. He mocks those of his brotherhood who do serve and honour God through their ministry.

Oh – I forgot the first part. “Be not deceived – God is not mocked – whatsoever a man soweth….” Do these ministries and individuals serve God? I think not. I see their work as a mockey of God and all things sacred and my heart is broken and it grieves.

The political agenda led by evangelical ‘christians” who mock God are prevalent in our country. They need to be put into the light and exposed for what they are. Wolves in sheep’s clothing. Look behind them. They are just the front puppets of a much deeper, more powerful evil, led by men who hide from the public and shun the limelight.

Somewhere out in our land there are Christians, believers – those who honour God with their love for his children (all his children, not just the rich ones or the ones who can give money, not just the sick who are desperate for a cure). Their love and service and honour for their God and Saviour makes the works of these fake leaders of mega organizations and Reverends and Doctor’s of diploma mills look like filth. They quietly do the work of the Kingdom and touch lives one by one for all eternity.

Even the very elect will be deceived – God help us all. It is enough to drive one to their knees weeping for this country.

I don’t see any proof here that Mcvety does not have a bona fide doctorate.
