8.5 million dollar lawsuit against the Liberal Party of Canada.
The statement of claim: 8.5 million general and special damages” and another $250,000 for aggravated and punitive damages.

I’m not confused, I’m cringing a small company owner would file a lawsuit, hand deliver it, hold a national media conference and expect softball questions. Wright says is staying with her original lawyer, although she has had pro-bono offers.
The lawyers win, not Wright, not the Liberal Party.

She is a small business owner, the trademark isn’t finalized, her PR is being handled by Conservative Michael Krauss who worked for Brian Mulroney. Green Shift has been used in the US and the UK. There is a Green Shift music and comic book business.

It is going to take a trademark lawyer or two to lay this out in plain english for the public.

I think Garth Turner really didn’t need to write what came across to me as a soft threat when he posted about the name - the site that barked. Jennifer Wright just went on to put some bite with that bark. The Liberal Party did not respond to Ms. Wright when she asked them too last week, she has received a lot of unwanted attention. Liberal leader Stephane Dion responded to her today.

For the record Ms. Wright told CTV news she had worked for the NDP, her lawsuit news conference was broadcast on CBC and CTV.
