Explain the difference between stone casting and critical thinking.

Then explain what discernment is and what we are to do with it.

“Critical” being the operative word. [Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.]

Discernment is the ability to see where a loving hand is needed for healing and restoration. Not judgment. There is only one judge. Jesus the Christ and He holds that rightfully!! Each of us are to mature into the fullness of Christ. Additionally, we are called to walk along side of one another and help each other on the way. That does include our responsibility to expose any darkness and there is a written procedure for doing so. In everything we do, we do it in love, meekness and gentleness following after peace. ["Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted" (Galatians 6:1)]. ["With all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, forbearing one another in love" (Ephesians 4:2)]. ["For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth" (Ephesians 5:9)]. Our second highest commandment is to “Love one another even as I have loved you”. Now, how has He loved us? Just as we are. And He walks a side us too, helping us. It is a privilege to be given eyes to see where someone needs help. It is an honor to help and He is inviting you into the process. We are accountable for praying for others. To see good and not do it is ( )?

* John 5:22 [Jesus speaking]: “Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgement to the Son….”
* John 8:15 [Jesus speaking]: “You [Jews/Pharisees] judge by human standards; I pass judgement on no one.”
* John 12:47 [Jesus speaking]: “As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it.”

Even superficially, there is no contradiction here. John 5:22 states that Jesus has been given the potential for judging, Nothing here is said in this passage about the actualization of the judging, which judgement will take place at the end of the world. In John 8:15, the context clearly indicates that Jesus’ words “I pass judgement on no one” are to be construed as saying that He does not pass the earthly, casuistic, and superficial judgements that the Pharisees do.

Grammatically, in 8:15 the plural address “you” in the phrase “You judge by human standards” is emphatic: hymeis …. krinete . Similarly, in 8:15 the “I” in the phrase “I pass judgement on no one” is emphatic: ego ou krino. Grammatically then, we have a direct contrast here: Jesus does not judge as the Pharisees do. ” You judge by human standards, but I do not.” As far 12:47, there is a qualifier: “As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them…”

Some more facts need to be stated. In 5:22, in accordance with the analogy of Scripture, we see that the judgement that Jesus has been entrusted with is the judgement at the end of human history. Jesus’ earthly sojourn was to save the world — see 3:17 for verification.

Keeping this in mind, 12:47 most naturally echoes 3:17 along similar lines. If one wants to follow the context and allow a document to interpret itself, then this solution is faithful to the text as well as the context.

Objection: In John 9:39, Jesus says, “For judgment I am come into this world.” This clearly contradicts the statement that “the judgment that Jesus has been entrusted with is the judgement at the end of human history. Jesus’ earthly sojourn was to save the world….”

The context of John 9:39 deals with Jesus being judged by the world, as in either accepting Jesus or rejecting Jesus. The Greek word here is krima and means a decision; it is not a “judicial” word like krisis or krino. In essence, Jesus says here he came to be judged by us, and it has nothing to do with the other passages where Jesus himself is the judge.

28:19 “Moreover the LORD will also deliver Israel with you into the hand of the Philistines. And tomorrow you and your sons will be with me. The LORD will also deliver the army of Israel into the hand of the Philistines.”

So why should Todd Bentley be any different from Saul? He is not! He is a false prophet who disobeyed God by stealing a million dollars from the sheep by lies. During the Lakeland revival Todd said that God told him to get 1,000 people to give $1,000 dollars. When people confronted Todd, Todd admitted that God did not say that.

All the so called healing and resurrections from the dead by Todd the Fraud could not be documented on ABC’s Nightline?

Peter Wagner stated Todd Bentley now carries the label of a liar and a deceiver. I’m sorry to mention it, but I felt personally deceived in the same way when Ted Haggard’s sin was exposed and he was immediately removed from ministry…

Todd is not a Christian in any sense of the word and we have all seen his bad fruits and lawlessness (Matthew 7:16-23)

Do a search on what the bible says about angels, especially the NT, we can entertain them unaware.

This tickles peoples ears, makes them think these guys are super spiritual and you can be to.

Do a google search on biblical deception of false leaders.

God is moving, He is in control, He is with you, whether you ‘feel’ Him or not. You are in His presence and He will not leave you or forsake you. Are you going to seek the polar star or follow some dude with a flashlight?
