Actually, just because someone chairs a meeting, it doesn't imply that the person agrees with an outcome. Sometimes an organization will get someone from the outside to chair a meeting so that there will be in impartial moderator. This is the role that Chief Justice McLaughlin took when chairing meetings to decide who deserved the Order of Canada. You did miss the gajillion aborted innocent sweet cute cuddly teddy-bears.

Actually, just because someone chairs a meeting, it doesn’t imply that the person agrees with an outcome. Sometimes an organization will get someone from the outside to chair a meeting so that there will be in impartial moderator. This is the role that Chief Justice McLaughlin took when chairing meetings to decide who deserved the Order of Canada.
