Angelina Steenstra of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign says membership should not be given to people who cause divisions within Canada.
Steenstra’s group delivered a box of petitions Wednesday to the Governor General’s residence in Ottawa, which she said contained the signatures of 30,000 Canadians opposed to the naming of abortion doctor Henry Morgentaler to the Order of Canada. (Canada Press)
If they are as duplicated and fudged as the last petition Bouquet of Grey is looking at (down from 42 to 24) someone in the GG’s office has a lot of fact checking to do.
Three alone from Campaign Life Coalition, with this note: ‘Angelina Steenstra will present this petition to the Governor General and the Prime Minister of Canada.’
So that must be them.
One petition for Canadian citizens has 16,201 signatures. Another for Merkins and other ferriners has 1,501 and one for French speakers (presumably Canadian) has 601 signatures. Even throwing the ferriners in, we come up with only 18,303.
We looked a little more and found one from the Family Coalition with 17,695 signatures.
Maybe the Silent No More people made a deal with the Family Coalition and threw in together?
But that would add up to 35,998 or, taking the ferriners out — 34,497.
But that’s more than the 30,000 claimed. And we know — problematic as the fetus fetishists find arithmetic — they would never ever round down.
