For US readers who are trying to figure out who Sarah Palin is, who better to go to than local media and local bloggers?
The picture is from Mudflats; a blog of a writer who loves his state and is a close observer of politics. It’s a sharp blog with lots of background.
In his post Local Reaction to the Palin bombshell he collects reacts from various politicians.
Start with What is McCain Thinking? One Alaskan’s Perspective This blog has a sidebar of categorized links, including an extensive section on Palin.
Other Alaskan blogs:The Immoral Minority on Sarah Palin’s first nationally televised speech. This blog has a sidebar of updated links
Another is Progressive Alaska which has varied opinion, great sidebar which includes links to Alaska media.
Update: Rev. Mike raised a good point:

Good point Mike. I’ll go look – I’d like to stick to Alaskan blogs.
Any ideas?
I’m an independent in Alaska that has voted for people on both sides of the aisle as well as independents. I think Sarah has been doing well for the state and would be a decent VP. Read some of my posts on my website for more of my thoughts.
