It’s not a big affair, just an afternoon together, but it’s a good idea. Richard Hall at connexions is trying to see if he can cough up the train fare for a blogger get together being held by the UK Evangelical Alliance. I agree with Dave Walker they could drop the God Blog label since it has been nicely hijacked by US Republicans and is so Web 1.0.;^)
I think bloggers getting together is a lot less about what we learn about theology or technology than about just meeting each other. We aren’t even close to anything like this in Canada – the travel costs alone would exclude just about every faith blogger I’m aware of. The UK advert is fun – space invaders is a nice touch.

The invite is minimalist – not weighed down with agenda.  I don’t think communicating in cyber-space is counter cultural at all actually.
