Dr. John Stackhouse takes a look at Gilles Duceppe, Opus Dei and the Ghost of Old Quebec
David Baines of The Vancouver Sun has an interesting column on another Canadian faith healer most of us have never heard of. Kelowna faith healer fails to cure my skepticism:
I don’t believe in faith healing. Nor do I believe that a tiny Kelowna company is going to find a viable mineral deposit in Liberia. But Len Lindstrom believes he can do both.
For years, the 57-year-old Christian evangelist travelled around Western Canada and faraway places like India, Pakistan, Rwanda and Tanzania, purporting to be a conduit for God’s healing powers.
His website is filled with testimonials from people who bore witness to Lindstrom ministering to people with serious physical illnesses and disabilities.
Len Linstrom doesn’t go to church anymore and his religious site is still online. World Harvest Len Linstrom International Ministries hasn’t been updated and links to such infamous notables as Todd Bentley’s Fresh Fire Ministries (Abbotsford BC) and Kenneth Copeland. Linstrom likes money, and he’s very open about that.
Not only was Len delivered from his usual bottle of whiskey per evening and the intermittent use of soft drugs; he walked away from his dream of being a millionaire before he turned age thirty. After prayer and listening closely to the Holy Spirit he and Julie disbanded the company, sold the family home, packed up their two young children and began to pursue the call of the Lord.
I don’t find his ministry in Revenue Canada Charity listings, as The Search says, he is pouring his evangelistic effort into his company, Liberty International Mineral Corp.
Richard Bartholomew noted Linstrom’s foray into the business world in 2006.
I don’t think Brian at Primordial Blog will be investing anytime soon.
And Red Tory 3.0 noted Ted Byfield has landed himself a publishing gig with some US friends called S.E.A.R.C.H.

Yeah, you’re right Bene. I can’t think of too many people I’d trust less with my money than an ex-con man for Jesus. I’m surprised he isn’t trying to sell us oil wells in Israel like Hal Lindsey. Snagging blood diamonds from a conflict zone must be a more profitable enterprise than pretending to heal the gullible.
