Seriously. The Army of God. Anyone following domestic militancy in the US are familiar with this group. I’ve had a member of the Phelp clan stop by over the years and put in a cut and paste comment that had little to do with the topic, but I didn’t expect to see Donald Spitz of the Army of God and Pro-Life Virginia leave a comment.
The Army of God is a known hate group in the US – I’d advise you not to click over to their site unless you can handle the glorification and worship of men who have kidnapped, been convicted of murdering doctors, graphic fetus photos, single focus extremism, glorifying use of violence against women and US clinics, arson, fear and justification in the name of God. The site also contains parts of their manual: 99 Covert Ways to Stop Abortion. The rest of their philosophy contained within it can be found in a web search.
The FBI has the group on it’s counterterrorism watch list.
The group pairs up with other groups who advocate violence against those who do not hold their views regarding abortion as mass murder, abortion law and GLBT in the US; groups such as Defenders of the Defenders of Life who issue actions statements such as this:
We the undersigned, declare the justice of taking all Godly action necessary, including the use of force, to defend innocent human life (born and unborn). We proclaim that whatever force is legitimate to defend the life of a born child is legitimate to defend the life of an unborn child.
We declare and affirm that if in fact Paul Hill did kill or wound abortionist John Britton, and accomplices James Barrett and Mrs. Barrett, his actions are morally justified if they were necessary for the purpose of defending innocent human life. Under these conditions, Paul Hill should be acquitted of all charges against him.
Donald Spitz manages the Army website. I wrote about the group celebrating convicted murders as martyrs for God few years ago when Southern Baptist minister Wiley Drake (a former executive in the SBC) denied ties with the group.
I’ve also written about Bill Whatcott, a Canadian who associates himself with the Army of God. Makes sense to me Spitzer would defend the Phelps, like attracts like. (hate attracts hate)
The loosely connected underground group has also decided GLBT were to be targeted with hate.

i am being harrassed and threated by the leaded tim of this group on tagged i have reported him to my local authorities for harrissment and stalking he is a horrible person and is not godly at all there seems to be nothing i can do to stop him he plants people on my page to spy on me he goes to my friends and makes friends with them until i have to explain who he isthen they delete him he gets envolved in any game i am playing and his his followeres do the same i cannot stand him he has taken all privacy from me away. i donnot understand why tagged is so afraid of him. he knew my email and canceled that i hve no recourse but to tolerate him nothing can be down. nothing if i had him here in north carolina face to face i know a group who would love to take him on. lol but he hide behind the computer screne like the coward he is!!!!
