Todd Bentley remarries, apologizes

Well, sort of. Yes, he re-married last week, he has his new trophy wife Jessa, who unlike the new ex Mrs. Bentley hasn’t had bone cancer and 3 kids.
When news of the marriage leaked on the weekend, his step-mom put her two cents worth in, now Rick Joyner has made his grand announcement. (see post below also)

It appears Darcia Bentley’s ’newsflash’ of yesterday at Sound of Fire Productions has been taken down and Rick Joyner’s ‘special bulletin’ has been put in it’s place. Mrs. Bentley’s ‘newsflash1′ can be found in Google cache and posted in full under – more in the post below, there is a long history of Bentley sites being scrubbed.

Bentley’s ‘restoration’ has begun with a newsflash from step mom and special bulletin from Joyner. What Todd had to say was sandwiched between his apostle handler Joyner’s copious words. Here is what the MorningStar pr team helped Todd Bentley put together.

It has been a long while since I have spoken publicly and openly. I am sorry for the hurt and confusion that my decisions have caused the body of Christ. It has been a true season of brokenness, hiddenness, and a long process of grieving.

As many of you now know, my previous marriage has endured years of unresolved conflicts. I apologize that it has ended in divorce, and I take full responsibility for my part for the ending of the marriage. I realize that my silence and decisions have caused many of you to feel hurt, confused, and offended. The reason for the silence was for my need of healing, creating a restoration process under a team of qualified leaders, much needed rest after the Lakeland Outpouring, repentance, and the divorce process.

I have now relocated to Fort Mill, South Carolina and have entered into my restoration and healing process under Rick Joyner, Jack Deere, and Bill Johnson. I am confident of this one thing—that God is faithful to His promise and my hope is to be fully restored, strengthened, healed, and to learn from all the mistakes I have made along the way.

Thank you friends and partners for your continued prayers, encouragement, and love. I am committed to the work of the Holy Spirit and confident that the good men around me will help me be restored first as a man, as a husband, and ultimately to fulfill God’s call on my life.

    Offense taken WoG

I see you are in Bentley’s old stomping grounds.
    You two friends?

I think you meant bawled. If this site is filthy to you, then I suggest you leave.

  2. Me says:

    Will,

Can you explain to me why these verses don’t count anymore? Are they outdated, were they written with a, “Religious Spirit”? Please explain why they don’t count anymore.

    1Corinthians 5:1-5

    1 Timothy 3:1-13

If you choose not to answer, I understand, most people don’t when I ask about this.

  3. Bene D says:

    Me:

Bentley isn’t a minister, deacon or anything else. He has no qualifications or training or self-control, he runs a show and does whatever he wants.
The New Apostolic Reformation make their own rules and exalt themselves.

The verses do count which is why so many thousands of people have warned others about New Apostolic Reformation events and teachings.

  4. Will of God says:

    Me:
Yes those verses are in the bible:
4In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,

I see the gathering together to hand Todd over to satan , but I dont see Paul’s spirit or the power of the Lord Jesus Christ present for you to do this. Just Gossip

PS: how do you CAST BEAM out of your eye… impossible in the natural. Spec yes Beam, Who is BEAM.

1 Timothy 3 Todd isn’t a Bishop LOL,,, read vs 8Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, (what is Gossip) Todd isn’t my friend but I’d like to be his friend.

    BENE:

Thats fine Bene if your offended Matt 15 (Heart issues)

11Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
12Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?

I Haven’t prayed for you (my mistake)! I Did leave this blog because your blog is mainly centered around a man and not Jesus Christ , and the purpose is not redemption, but fault finding.
this leaves a door open for BEAM. Matthew 7:5, Luke 6:41 , and must be cast out. But once it’s cast out it must be replaced with the Light of Jesus Christ to fill the lamp of the body or 7 worse than Beam will come ,,,

  5. Rich Laskowski says:

One of the things that I have not heard is if Todd’s wife cheated on him. If so that Todd has a scriptual right to remarry. If his wife was faithful and he was the one who was cheating then the scripture is clear – Todd is a relationship of adultery with his new wife. Man may see him married, but God does not. If this is so, his ministry is not only wrong it is harmful to the body of Christ because it demonstartes that Christians can do anything they want – wait a littel while – make up some excuses and then go on like nothing happned. Sin can be forgiven, but God gives some very specific directions about marriage – probably because he knows that man is an expert at justifying his sin

  6. Gerald says:

Todd married his children’s nanny so the question of who was at fault is obvious. Not only that, this is the second time Bentley has been caught in an adulterous affair in the last few months. He is a fornicator, an adulterer, a liar, a heretic, a false prophet, and a fake “faith” healer who kicks people in the stomach with stage four cancer and beats others about the head. He has no ministry–only a “show” for the easily deceived.

  7. Anne says:

Forgiveness is step one people. God is the judge. What he did was wrong however how many of you are without sin.Leader or not he is a human being and he will make mistakes.God Bless you Todd and may God be glorified in all that you do.

  8. Wow says:

I agree with the last comment on here so much. Christians now a days are so very quick to judge others. And as for saying he is fake for healing and stuff it was not him to begin with it was God so now people are starting to judge God. Are you saying if God wants to heal people through him he can’t i am sure the people who were healed would like to argue that point as they are probably glad they are healed. As for kicking and stuff for healing there was once a man who also did the same thing is name was Smith Wigglesworth check him out very well know for his healing ministry and is brought up in many healing rooms today. God Bless everyone and when you judge it is no better then what Todd did when you talk about people it kills there spirit so would that not be murder?

  9. Gail Byrd says:

Bro all i have to offer you is love and compassion and I am very greatful for all Our father has brought you thru we was born for this day rejoice and be glad in him for your exactly where he wants you God bless and keep you bro i love you so does my father with a never ending love Gail

  10. Daniel D. says:

I want to personally thank Rick J. (and other ministers) for their courage in stepping out on a limb and restoring the man of God. What they are doing is completely biblical according to Gal 6:1, Jam 5:19,20 they are true church leaders & their ministries will be blessed. I’ve seen a sad yet common thread within the christian community, that when a brother or sister in the Lord falls, we stabb kick & bite them adding insult to injury. Jesus is our best example in a case like this JN 8:1-11 Jesus could have been justified in throwing the 1st stone, being sinless, but decided to use the most powerful tool He had “LOVE”. This same tool is available to every believer & how different our world would be if it was effectively used. Todd, it truely seems that you have humbled yourself acc. to Jam 4:10 I believe that the Lord will lift you up.

  11. Susan says:

In reference to the adultery of the woman in the book of John, it’s ok to look at this scripture with some discernment. Because textual scholars have determined, by close examination, that they were added around the fifth century. The reasons are obvious. According to ancient Jewish scripture and practice, it would be both the man and woman that would have to be stoned. (Deuteronomy 22:22) In this case it’s just the woman brought to Jesus.

In other ancient societies of the world, the women were considered property. The woman would be brought before others for the crime against her husband. Not so with Judaism. The crime was against God. Here is the key. Because the crime would be against God, both the man and woman would have to be stoned. Judaism would not consider any less sin for the man or woman.

Yes, were are to help those fallen with instructions from God’s word. However, the pardon will have to come from God, not man. So while helping someone who has fallen, we need to make sure we don’t fall ourselves.

  12. Anna says:

I understand the comments above, some against Todd’s restauration some for it. What happens is that it is becoming a cyclo ammong people in church, politicians, people in the media etc… a not taking seriously anything and then when caught a quick “apology” a recovery process or institution and then bam: changed…I am in favor of true restauration not a quick fix….Do I know for sure what is going on in his heart? No.
But I know we should all escape the appearance of evil.

  13. jane says:

i’ve no idea who Todd Bentley is, except that when he re-married believed that God blesses his act of hurting his former wife and three kids. It is his right to marry, but I am sure God will not be a party to his action. It is HIS action alone and bringing God into what he did was very distasteful. Shame on him.

  14. john l kenington says:

Todd Bentley is a human just like everyone else he too can make mistakes. Anyone who believes in God and his word can also believe that we all have sinned…… Todd has had to answer to God for any mistakes he has made and doesnt have to answer to anyone else nor should anyone else feel as if he is unforgiven because God will always forgive us if we ask him to. If Todd asked God for forgiveness that is great and it is nobody else business and to be judgemental towards someone willing to let God use them is very ignorant. God doesnt have a long line of people waiting to be used to do his work here on earth so we should all be thankful for people that have and will do what God has asked them to. It is easy for people to feel like other people are radical and false prophets or what not but anyone who kinda understands God should know that he can use different types of people to reach certain types of people and what he has called me to do may be very different from his will for your life. I think Gods word is powerful and i think if i am communicating with god as much as i should i can read his word one day then another day when i read the same book and verses it has a different meaning to my life in a supernatural way to me that is an example of why we should be a little more open minded and realize that not everything God does and who he uses will not always make sense to us. People who let God use them are often the ones who are misunderstood and attacked the most by the enemy and the modern day pharisees which still seems to be the church in most cases and if this offends you then you should make sure that you dont support a church or organization that judges people who are trying to better themselves and actually doing something for God to reach out to others instead of waiting in a building waiting for lost and hurt people to walk through the doors to find more hurt and people who would try to judge God himself if he actually showed up to there building on a beautiful sunday morning.

  15. Tim Thibault says:

Bentley is simply a criminal and a fraud and there are no other words for it. The evidence speaks for itself and anyone who chooses to turn a blind eye or even defend him has more than their head in the sand, they probably need professional help.

  16. Shawnie says:

What him and his new wife did makes me sick..but it makes me love Jesus even more..his love is so big and full of grace and mercy..we gotta get our eyes off man and onto the king..if God can speak thru a donkey he can speak thru a weak man..God is bigger than the box we put him in lets not debate each other or act like we knows mans heart bible says only God does..may gods love go to this man and his new family and his old family too…Jesus is full of mercy love wisdom….I pray for his ex wife financial blessings and love and hope and mercy and that she doesn’t fall away from God because of all this..and I’m glad to see these other two people are coming out and admitting their junk and giving it to God to fix…his grace and love is soo good and great..thank u jesus

  17. brano says:
