I know that it has been a long time since this was written though I thought it would be good to clarify that Mr. Norm MacLaren had retired from Crossroads / 100 Huntley Street at this time (March 27, 2009) Ron and Ann Mainse conducted a farewell interview, part 1 posted here http://www.100huntley.com/video.php?id=L6DFECgu7pw
Since that time he has co-lead Trips to the Holy Land with David and Norma-Jean Mainse and appeared again this year with Ron on Stay in Touch.

In no way was his leaving the 100 Huntley Street team or the Crossroads website have anything to do with any other events that took place.

It’s my understanding investors are completely in the dark. They haven’t heard from the OSC, SEC or a Mainse restitution fund.
If my information is wrong I’d really like to know, hopefully M can provide some answers.

Did this happen? I have a friend was an investor he knows nothing of repayment? Curious?

They own all the shows they produce.

Can you show me where Crossroads Television station is owned by the charity? Why are people saying they are shareholders?

There is news out today about the new CEO and amagamated board.

Next, CCC has no involvement with the ponzi scheme.
The organization is not involved, individuals with the organization are involved.

Why do you think authorities are finished with their investigations?
Regulatory groups tasked to look at Crossroads finances are finished. A forensic audit. the Canadian Council of Christian Charities.
If Revenue Canada wants to investigate they will.

Why? Gordon was facing a civil suit brought by two agencies, ordered by the OSC to desist.
He made a deal with the SEC last week and will face criminal charges if he doesn’t comply. He knew the scheme was collapsing, he was under investigation and and he took off.

Where are Ron and Reynold going to go? They were victims and finders. It’s classic in a ponzi scheme. Use the search on the right hand side and read up on ponzi schemes from the AARP, the BC Securities God Fraud Squad and Innocent greed from the economics professor.

Why do you think Reynold is paying people back?

It was announced he hasn’t worked for 100 Huntley and Crossroads for about a year and a half when Ron said he was setting up a resitution fund.

Do you know how these funds are going to work?

They were victims and finders – minimum 60 people, max 75 by their own words.

First, let’s clear up another misconception. This must be done because the author of this blog cannot be bothered to do his homework.

100 Huntley Street and Crossroads Christian Communications are not the same thing. Crossroads is the corporate parent company of a number of entities. One of those entities is a national daily television broadcast called 100 Huntley Street. Another entity is CTS-TV.

Next, CCC has no involvement with this scheme. This was a business venture that Ron and Reynold became involved in on their own. CCC did the right thing by suspending Ron and Reynold until the authorities have completed their investigations. Why? The Bible talks about staying away from not just evil but the “appearance” of evil. The suspensions do not mean that Ron and Reynold have been judged as guilty of what many, including this blog author, say is being organizers of the ponzi scheme. In fact, Ron and Reynold were “sucked in” by someone that befriended and then used them for their own purposes. IF you don’t believe this, then you must have a good answer to this question: Why did the CEO of the fake investment company, the person that befriended Ron and Reynold, leave Canada to live in the U.S. and not return, AND, why has Ron and Reynold stayed where they are? Go ahead, make my day and give me a GOOD explanation for that.

Bottom line, Ron and Reynold are not running away from this. They admit that they are guilty of naivity and not conducting proper due diligence in the “investment opportunity” that was presented to them. They themselves were investors and were also taken to the cleaners by the ponzi. And, Ron and Reynold have done something else that the did not NEED to do, something that the fraudster should do – repay other investors their losses.

One final question for the blog author – why don’t you use the name of the person that was behind this ponzi – the real fraudster. Let me guess – because his name is not well known but the name, “Mainse” is? In other words, this is all the proof I need that your “AGENDA” in writing these articles is to slam Crossroads, the Mainse family and Christians in general. No more, no less.

I have always wondered about some things of the ministry. Do the name it claim it teachings or greed have had something to do with the possible outcome that is lurking around the corner. I hope not!

The sad situation is that Christianity…Televangelist reputaions may be hitting 100 Hundred Huntley St. and Christian reputation and trust.

I will keep praying and keeping an eye out for the future news about the Ministry.

When an on air personality disappears people wonder and assume the worst.

As for webpages, it may be also about overworked web people updating the site and servers.
However, why can’t they just say so?

100 Huntley Street rents studio time from CTS. I don’t know who did the CTS website, someone has been busy updating Crossroads/100 Huntley which is ‘powered by Donor.com’ out of Delaware.

Both sites are registered to Crossroads Christian Communications Inc. Maybe there was so much clutter to transfer, techs are way behind the curve and older webpages can’t transfer over.

However, his could have simply been an earlier parting that was related to, in reaction to, or triggered by the events we’re now discussing. He could have simply been the leading edge of the various corporate responses to this by Crossroads.

Because of his high on-air profile, and what has happened since, this is something else they will have to eventually clarify, even if his story has nothing to do with the one more front and center.
