100 Huntley Street and the Religious Broadcasters Network

Direct TV is a US satellite service used by over 50 million Americans.

Channel 378 is the NRB – National Religious Broadcasters.

I’ve written the NRB Network because this 100 Huntley Street blurb has been on Crossroads Christian Communications Inc website for  some time under  times and stations.

NRB

Okay. A similar announcement was put up at the NRB network in 2007.

However, a look at the Direct TV lineup on the NRB Network for Fridays shows this:

Direct TV Friday 5 pm

A look around the NRB sites, programming guides and news releases reveals – no 100 Huntley Street.

Here is the information for that programming slot on the NRB network.

NRB network programming

Cal Bombay’s (Bridge)  bio states he retired in 2003 after 25 years with Crossroads Christian Communications.
On the Cal Bombay Ministries site, his charity formed in 2004, there is a statement TV programming was planned:

We are producing television presentations to inform, teach and to challenge people to see a world beyond their own comfort zone.
We are meeting with leaders, both political and civil, in Sudan and North America to prepare them for the challenges they have before them.

While 100 Huntley Street is not listed anywhere on the National Religious Broadcasters Network, Cal Bombay Ministries is actively involved with Crossroads Christian Communications Missions.

It is this milieu in which Crossroads is building farms under the authority of Savannah Farmers Cooperative (SFC). Co-chairing the Board of Directors are Rev. Cal Bombay, and Mr. Steven Wondu. Dr. Samson Kwaje, official spokesman for the SPLM is also on the Board. Each farm has a Manager. All the Sudanese involved in these farms have both experience and/or education in agriculture.
…Cal Bombay (former Vice President of Missions) has been asked by Crossroads to be their representative to Southern Sudan and to administer the funds being given to the Savannah Farmers Cooperative for the operation and development of the SFC farms. Some of these farms are coming close to self-sufficiency. Cal Bombay has given his assurance to Crossroads Missions that his interest and commitment will continue in Sudan for years to come.

Harvest Sudanis another Cal Bombay Ministries production listed as airing on The Miracle Channel, however it is not produced there.  100 Huntley Street is also on the Miracle Channel.  It’s possible given the Cal Bombay Ministry headquarters are in Brantford, the shows are produced at the Crossroads Centre in Burlington.
Saying 100 Huntley instead of a Crossroads Christian Communications Missions show is broadcasting in the US is misleading.

Update: My email to the Religious Broadcasters network was returned as undeliverable.

Update: 100 Huntley Street is back on US National Religious Broadcasters as of March 30/2010.
