Every Who down in Whoville liked Christmas a lot,
But the Grinch, who lived just north of Whoville, did not.
The Grinch hated Christmas — the whole Christmas season.
Oh, please don’t ask why, no one quite knows the reason.
It could be, perhaps, that his shoes were too tight.
It could be that his head wasn’t screwed on just right.
But I think that the best reason of all
May have been that his heart was two sizes too small.

I know just what you mean, Mr. Grinch -
there’s something about Christmas that isn’t quite right.
The music, the presents, the holiday food;
the shopping the greetings, that strange month-long mood!
What does it all mean? I really wonder,
since the babe in a manger is there no longer!
We become like the thing that we worship, I’ve heard it said -
it’s better to follow the risen Lord, than to keep looking for the one that is dead…
Good one Therese
