James Dobson starting new broadcast

Greetings, everyoneThis is the first announcement of a brand new 30 minute daily radio program to be carried on numerous stations, beginning in March, 2010. It is called JCDs Family Forum, and will be changed soon to James Dobson on the Family. The program will be much like what you have heard on Focus on the Family for the past 33 years. It will deal with marriage, child-rearing, family finances, medical and psychological concerns, national issues, the sanctity of human life, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. My son, Ryan Dobson, will co-host the program with me, which will be a exciting adventure. Some of you may be wondering why I didn’t simply stay at Focus on the Family if my purpose was to continue broadcasting as usual. It is because I have felt since the turn of the century that I needed to begin passing along the leadership of the ministry to a younger generation.

And James Dobson is asking his fans for 2 million bucks.

Ewwww.

Groan. I’ve been trying to get off their darn mailing list for a year. I had a grumpy call with them again last week.

This is going to make it harder, isn’t it?

  2. Bene D says:

The Dobson’s kept Ryan Dobson’s divorce very quiet, he has a new daughter who has heart problems and he is soliciting donations for her medical care.

Learned well from dad. It amazes me people hand them money.

Guess you’ll be getting two newsletters or more now Mrs. Spit.

  3. Carol says:

I only stay on to cost them money to mail it to me. Even pennies taken from their cookie jar is something less that they have. Plus, when I want to, I read just to see what outlandish stuff they are scaring people with. You are right, they will share their lists and I’ll be wasting even more trees.
