In a post yesterday, I teased Matthew Robert Payne, a fellow from Australia who has started to post “words from the Lord” on YouTube. (His word for Todd Bentley either can’t possibly be right, or it throws Bentley under the bus by implying that Jesus being on stage with him is in the future tense–which undercuts the new revival that Bentley has already started.)
I’ll confess, though, that I like Matthew. He  seems like a nice enough guy who wants to bless through  what he does. But if I were one of the famous charismatics that he has been prophesying over on YouTube lately, I might be tempted to say “Thanks, but…”‘
Take Steve Shultz. He is best known as a charismatic speaker and author who operates The Elijah List, which sends out propehtic messages, ads for conferences and such. I don’t know Shultz as I know Todd Bentley, say, but I do know that some of my blogging friends have concerns  about whether Schultz’s efforts spread unhealthy teachings and theology.
Enter our hero Matthew Robert Payne, who has this word for Schultz on YouTube, just today (January 14):
Matthew seeks to bless Schultz by predicting that he will set cities afire for God. But how he does it is, well, interesting in a back-handed way that he doesn’t intend.
Starting at 1:45, he says to Schultz:
“….The first image I get of you [Steve Schultz]…it’s like a bowl, but it’s like–the bowl is like a cauldron, but it’s not like a cauldron you cook in, the caudron’s like a whole city, and it’s deep, and it’s big, I’m just waiting for the Lord for the interpretation, the Lord says that you are going to come into cities and set them on fire, like a cauldron cooks up special ingredients for a witch, or that’s what I have seen in the past, I don’t know if that is a fantasy or if that really happens…
Imagine all the different ways that you could allude to this. He could be some paper lighting a campfire. He could be a fuse lighting fireworks. But instead, “the Lord” cites a witches’ cauldron on the job.
I can imagine Schultz saying to himself, should he see this, “Oh great, some people already fear that I am not orthodox and you see my work as a witches’ cauldron on the boil.”
Twice now, we have Matthew, perhaps prophesying the opposite of what he may intend.
First, while saying nice and lovely things about Todd Bentley, Matthew notes that Jesus will be with Todd’s word on stage in the future and thus logically not now–while Bentley already has preached at Morningstar for about a month and his new revival is already, shall we say, simmering.
And now, we have the mental image of Macbeth’s three hags perhaps walking in to help with Schultz’s future revival. “We brought the cauldron *cackle*!” 
Is the Lord is putting things in this fellow’s visions that warn the orthodox, Berean type of watchful Christian without Matthew even knowing that they are there? It’s fun to think that that could be the case, isn’t it?
I have had two prophecies from Matthew Robert Payne, one two years ago and one 6 months ago and both came true and were very very helpful. I am a little upset that this blog is here and I think that people who choose to say bad things will be judged by the judge one day.
I could not recommend more highly Matthew as a prophet, however he does not often do many prophecies when he has a team of people on his site.

I am upset with this blog and all people say about me. But I know who I am and where I am headed. I know my purpose, my vision and the direction the Lord is taking me in. What to do when persecution comes from others in the church.
You might never consider it, but one of the most volatile places for personal and spiritual attack comes from the church. The church is full of people stuck in their ways, stuck in unbelief and false teaching and when someone moves in the Holy Spirit it can scare them and they can lash out. It may take you be surprise, you may have your name and reputation maligned, and they may be ruthless in their attack. So what should you do?
One thing that seems a waste of time to me, is to write back to these people or speak back to them. It seems no matter how you want to try and defend your actions, these people have a counter claim and will not listen. It seems that the best way to deal with offense is to just ignore it and go on and continue serving the Lord that you have been called to serve.
If you know God and you know the history of the church, you will know that there was always opposition to the things of God. Jesus was not liked by everyone and they even called him Beelzebub. Jesus said we are to beware when “all people speak well of you†and so having people speak out against you in a funny way is a good sign not a bad one.
In this article I have said not to speak out and defend yourself but I have to admit to trying to do that. It comes natural to try and defend yourself. What that allows though, when you try and defend yourself, is for your attackers to have more to say.
The best you can do is pray for the people that have come against you, to rid yourself of your pain and push forward and continue to serve God in the way he has called you. Not even Jesus can save everyone and turn the hearts of all men. We should not get upset when people do not agree. When you know you are doing what God has told you to do, why do you need others to agree whole heartedly?
The Joy of serving the Lord- do you want to feel it?
Many people in the church seem to just go to work each week and then attend church on Sunday. Many people in church do not have a job to do for the Lord, and it is reported in surveys that only 10% of Christians know their spiritual gifts. It is sad way of living to be a Christian that is not being used by God, and many of them can become a little cynical of people that are being used in a mighty way.
For most of my Christian life I was not getting used by God. I can give testimony to the fact that not being able to serve God in any capacity can make you sad and feel worthless. If you have a history of felling worthless, not being used in any manner in the Christian church can certainly add to it.
About four to five years ago I was speaking to Jesus in bed and Jesus told me to start a website and offer people on the Internet a chance to get a free personal prophecy. Since that time, I have done about 20 prophecies per week for people desperate to hear the Lord speak to them and their issues. I have always had people come and join me on the team and help me prophesy and I have made some good friends along the way.
It gives me great joy to be used by God. Within a year of starting the prophecy site Jesus led me to start to write articles on the net and this allowed my website to become number 1 in the world on a Google search. I found writing teachings in articles gave me great joy and a sense of fulfillment. Not only did my website get a lot of visitors from my articles being on the Internet but as I read the Bible in my personal life I was able to unpack what I was learning each week in my articles.
As a person who has the gifts of evangelism, prophecy and teaching, I find that I am very fulfilled using all of my spiritual gifts each week. The best advice I can give any Christian is to do a spiritual gifts test and then get busy using their spiritual gifts. I can tell you from experience that using your spiritual gifts each week brings a person a great amount of joy.
Do you want to experience joy in your Christian life? Make sure you know what you are gifted with and get busy doing it for the Lord.
Todd Bentley- Does adultery and re- marriage discount him as an evangelist?
Many people have discounted Todd as a preacher and say that a man of God cannot leave his wife and marry another lady and continue in ministry. Some of these people already had issues with Todd Bentley and this is just one more thing they despise him for, but what is my honest opinion of all of this?
I cannot stop thinking that the life of King David should be brought to mind when we think of Todd Bentley. Todd did not sleep with another mans wife, and as far as we know he didn’t even sleep with is nanny until he was married to her. Todd did not get his nanny pregnant and then kill the husband like King David did. King David did not lose his throne after his affair and even Jesus is descended from the lady he had his affair with.
God loves King David and in church many times we sing songs that lyrics come from the psalms. And yet no one has a worry about singing words from an adulterer and murderer. Yet when it comes to Todd, there is no forgiveness in the hearts of many people.
Todd has a gift and a real anointing off God. Todd did not force the nanny to have sex with him, and if he left his wife for this lady, isn’t that something thousands of Christians have done. Whist writing articles on the Internet I have had two married women want to start a relationship with me, and so it is not uncommon for a person in ministry to be approached by other women.
I think that Christians seem to forget that they have been forgiven by Jesus Christ who himself was descended from a prostitute and a women that had sex with her father in law. If God has a problem with adultery and fornication, if they were the unforgivable sin, then he would not have had his son descended from that sort of behavior. The fact that Jesus is descended from these women is a sign to all of us that forgiveness is there for all of us.
People seem also to forget the woman at the well in Samaria. She had been with five husbands and at the time of meeting Jesus living in fornication. This past did not disqualify her from being reached by Jesus. The fact that this ladies life is recorded in the Bible means that multiple marriages are not beyond the grace of God.
People who mock Todd Bentley seem to conveniently forget the stories of the Bible. I am glad that these mockers are not God as no one would reach their self imposed bar of righteousness.

I am not interested in reading negative things about Todd. We all have our sins and things we have done wrong. King David committed adultery and killed a man and yet still he was revered by God as the BEST KING of Israels history. You are just a small minded individual Mark with no ministry and nothing to do except pull people down.
You who has had false visions and put people through false visions should have mercy on others that may have been deceived by Satan, however you do not only show mo mercy on the body of Christ but continue to mock people and spend your time working against the Spirit of God.

If the world of Christianity had to CONFORM to this blogs author and to people like you midnite birth ( Mark) the Christian world would be in a straight jacket.
For many years the church conformed to false teaching and now many in the world embrace the supernatural and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We are not going to shrink back from it for you or any mocker even if we do experience a false manifestation from time to time.
Shrinking back after a false manifestation would be akin to stopping drinking coffee at your favourite coffee shop after they had served you one bad coffee. Many mockers in the church do not accept the Holy Spirit and His gifts and simply go arouund trying to find examples of bad coffee
Put simply, I am not going to waste my time watching or reading negative press about Todd. I have heard what God thinks of Todd and what Jesus thinks of Todd and that is enough for me. I have also heard Todd preach and if you studied for the rest of your life in a Bible college midnit birth ( Mark) I doubt you could ever preach a sermon so good as the two sermons I have heard Todd preach.
Thousands of children in India where Todd has preached and healed people are called Todd Bentley as there parents were saved out of the Hindu faith and now serve Jesus. I doubt there is one person int he world called Mark Cunningham because of YOU!
Todd has been used by the Holy Spirit to heal thousands upon thousands. I have seen video of a man who had a metal brace and screws leave from inside his back after a prayer by Todd.
You who point to Todd as a person that is deceived are deceived yourself. You say that I am full of demons and cannot be trusted. You point your finger at Todd and you yourself have been deceived by Demons. The only difference is that you will not admit that you have been.
I wonder when you will ever give up trying to pull me down and attack me and others. At one point you said my prophecy over Todd was right on and then later you recounted and said you were deceived and under some spell I had cast over you. You who mock should take the plank out of your own eye.
You are in very real danger of Blaspheming the Holy Spirit and should repent from speaking out about men of God, and yet you will not do that as you are so sure that you are right.

matthew i was never full of flattery for you at all, it is just another vain delusion that you have had. you dont like to know the truth about odd bently , in many of his videos he does the devil sign with his left hand, and also the bible says we should not cover ourselves with markings or cuts like the pagans do, yet odd bently has had many tattoos done after he started ministry, also emma o , is actually a demon from japenese mythology, if you did actually look at the videos about oddbently the truth is presented, from his own mouth that he is a liar.
but i suppose the demon in you is also the same demon in odd bently.

There is a big difference between one who has the gift of prophecy and the office of a prophet. Paul said we all can prophesy. Matthew may have the gift of prophecy but he’s not a ‘Prophet.’
We are told to beware of false prophets not false prophecy. A prophet that is false often brings true prophecy.

I do not think it is possible for a gift from God to lose it’s dignity. Many may abuse it for their own gain or power, but God isn’t worried about His reputation or dignity. His gifts still retain their power despite those who abuse them. Instead of focusing on the abuse lets focus on those who are truly using the gifts for His glory.

Yes He knows. He knows everything. But he’s not sitting around rubbing his hands together worried about His reputation or what people think of Him. If the entire world became atheists and rejected His name, He would still be God and not one part of His nature would be diminished.

I don’t know who you are. But one thing is for sure. You are a beloved one of our Lord Jesus!
Maybe some things you show on you-tube seem to be strange. But I know, that God often times is using strange things. Jesus himself spoke in parables. Strange words many people didn’t understand. Why? ‘Cause those who are spiritually deaf shouldn’t
hear and understand.
The only thing I ask myself is, if it is wise to show some things on you-tube. But thats not my cup of tea. You do and say what you have heard of the Lord. And the Lord will confirm his word and work in and through you. So please go on, and obey the word of him.
