I have a BIG PROBLEM though with the competitive spirit that seems to be rising between nations that give, as to whose is the greatest in the act of giving. The people of Haiti I imagine don't want egos, just dinner, somewhere to sit and to know that we don't pity them or feel sorry for them but just honour them. Pity only compounds a position of sorrow and makes it worse not better. I have no problem with Haiti receiving donations whatsoever.
