Ryan Dobson, son of James made an interesting comment in an interview posted Friday, the day of his father’s last radio show with Focus on the Family. Colorado Springs Independent:
Indy: The impression I got back in December was that he was calling it quits completely. Was that a misinterpretation, or did he have a change of heart?
Dobson: No, no, he’s just not done. He loves what he does. We enjoy what we do, you know … I love it when people are like, “Oh, the younger Dobson needs a real job.” I’m like, “I feel like I have a real job.” Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, I do an hour live call-in show, I’m on the road, I speak 40, 50 times a year. I’ve written six books.
Indy: How many people download your podcast?Dobson: I’m doing just over 200,000 a month now …
Indy: How does that compare to Dad’s radio show?
Dobson: Oh gosh, he’s doing 300 million.
Indy: So you’ve got a ways to go. Do you want to go that far?
Dobson: Um [pauses], oh sure, why not? … You know, I don’t think my audience is the exact audience that’s listening to him. So would I love more and more people to listen to it? Sure.
But at the same time, it’s kind of like music. You know, I saw a documentary on punk rock and all these guys were like, “Oh, sellout, sellout.” It’s like, really? You know, these guys are making a living. How cool, you know? I’d love to make a living at what I do. I don’t make anything off the radio. I lose tons of money on my radio show.
” I lose tons of money on my radio show.”
James Dobson was given 1 million dollars from Focus on the Family for his new venture with his son. As well, he has been on Facebook since December asking readers for 2 million dollars for start up costs.
Family Talk Ministry is the political and administrative arm of the new organization and the show Family Talk with James Dobson, Ryan Dobson and LuAnne Crane, a former producer with Focus starts broadcasting in April. The Dobsons have hired Ambassador Advertising Agency to represent Family Talk.  James Dobson will be plugging the new show next week at the National Religious Broadcasters Convention.

Net worth not very much in ‘his fathers house’ then!.
Ryan Dobson’s history is covered in brief in Max Blumenthal’s book Republican Gomorrah. He claims Dobson is divorced, the books were ghostwritten, etc. If all of this is true I’m sad to say this episode is probably not going to end well.
When a man’s mission from God gets hijacked by compromising minds, ie: more ‘politically correct’, then a real man with an uncompromising mind surely must divorce himself from it, and follow God’s uncompromising mission. God is unchangeable, and therefore cannot compromise!..and neither do his servants.
The true test of a man is to follow his convictions and beliefs, no matter the cost, even to the giving up of the great ministry that Dr. James founded.
God can and truly will work through such honorable men, and will continue to bless the work of their hands. God has greatly blessed Dr. James for his faithfullness, and will continue to do so. Just watch, as God is faithful and is a rewarder to those that trust in Him.
Be Blessed Big Dr. James and Ryan.. and God’s speed be with you,
In Jesus’ Holy Name!………………also
May all the nay-sayers know that they shall give an account for every idle word spoken ( even against His Servants)…

No doubt Major Nidal Malik Hasan heard the same sermon right before he gunned down 13 people.
