Chile earthquake

Google has launched a person finder for people looking for loved ones after the 8.8 Chile quake.

This is the second time the search engine has done this, as of an hour ago over 1400 people had logged in.

You can also access it here along with relief agencies working on recovery.

Twitter is also active with tsuanmi alerts, aftershock reports and people finding – NewsHitter.

1100 Canadians are known to be in the country.
Chile experienced the largest earthquake ever recorded in 1960.

    Thankfully the tsunamis aren’t as bad as feared; also, people tended to bug out, remembering the Boxing Day killer.

    On a lighter note, congratulations to the Canadian hockey teams, especially the mens’ team; that goal with a few second left to tie it must have had half of Canada cursing at the TV. However, it set up a Crosby goal like a good movie script.

    Y’all did own the top of the podium, with 14 golds. Not bad.

    After the devastating Chile earthquake, the tsunami risk was a major concern. Good thing with God’s grace it was not as bad as we have prepared for.

    This effort is a helpful one and I would like to commend the people behind this especially that there can be an easy link with most needed relief agencies today.
