I think that Todd Bentley wants to make a happy announcement, judging by the evangelist’s Twitter feed.
Is Jessa Bentley, his new “trophy wife”, with child?
Earlier today a series of tweets on his feed reads, from newest to oldest:
proctorjb: @IAmToddBentley Human Growth Hormone. Also detected in women to confirm pregnancies!! I think congrats might b next!!! about 5 hours ago
from txt HCG_Cookbook: RT @IamToddBentley What do u know about HCG??? Don’t ask what is is it. I’m askng u??lol. Yes I know too. Do u?

Our Todd is laughing out loud as he explains that he knows what HCG, a material that is released during a woman’s pregnancy is. Now why would that be? And which woman would release to Todd Bentley such intimate results of a medical test?
If, and I emphasize if, Jessa is pregnant, it would only remind those who are opposed to his remarrying that he has, poking them with a sharp object. And If we recall Todd Bentley’s regrets that his ministry “was his mistress”, and that he already has three children by his first wife that he may not have spent much time with, it may not be a good omen for any “littlest Bentley.”
Todd might be trying to deflect people from noticing something else on his Twitter feed, which reveals that Bentley, who a year or so ago was “down to his last $20″ can now afford a “dream house”. Interested? Please read more…
Yesterday, Bentley wrote on Twitter:
IamToddBentley: building our new dream home. It’s moving along nice. Dinner break Korean BBQ
1 day ago from Twitterrific
Things are looking up financially for Bentley in other ways too, as he has a “new DS game” and has been taking his first batch of kids on vacation-type activities and such.
I recall that last year or in 2008 Bene D was mentioning that Fresh Fire had bought a fancy house in Lakeland for Todd and his starter family during the Lakeland Revival. [Sorry, but I am unable to find the posts.] I presume that this sale was reversed. But it does seem clear that Todd had always planned that he would have a expensive home at his home base and then travel the world as the “mighty man of [insert place name of famous revival here]“.
Now, with his “dream home”, he can do just that.
But what I find interesting is that just after the end of Lakeland, Bentley says that he was down to his “last $20″. Where is all the money coming from. Even if we guess that Bentley got a year’s pay as de facto severance pay from his old ministry, that would only be about $100,000 Canadian. That’s not enough to build a “dream house” in many places.
This leads me to wonder if Bentley has sources of income–or a secret deposit box or two–that we may not know about.
At any rate, Bentley can’t plead poverty any more. Although I made a guess above, that he is not hurting for money, for some reason, is apparently a fact.

Judas Iscariot, a man who handled the money box for Jesus. When I think hard on it, he really did not have a relationship with Jesus. Makes one wonder about why he was with the twelve? Jesus knew that Judas would dip into the money box, and Judas still walked with the other twelve disciples.
Just the same, it was Judas’ choice. Like many other’s who choose to follow Jesus , holding the money box today. They too, make a choice to dip into that box. Leave’s one to ponder , when you read or hear of these type minister’s. Those minister’s that achieve great material wealth. One may wonder if they have a true relationship with Jesus Christ. Just speaking about the ones that stay close to the money box. After all, it was in the mist of Jesus himself.
I would assume that Todd must be getting a cut on the beggings from the “outpouring” broadcasts on morningstartv. If anyone is actually heeding Rick Joyner’s pleas to “just send us all your money”, then there might be a sucker or two out there who are supplying Bentley with a source of funds. While we’re on this subject, there is an interesting video on morningstartv in which Joyner discusses the shaky future of the financial world and the economy in general. He makes a pitch about how the banks may not be safe to store your money in….hmmmm, would a logical extension of this be that your money is better trusted to morningstar and that through that “seed planting” God will provide for all your needs when the economy does fall apart. Do I sense a “Celestial Ponzi scheme” on the horizon? Only time will tell…..P.T. Barnum is proven more correct everyday.
just a quick P.S. to my post….maybe that whole “open heaven” thing is true and Todd went up and grabbed a big sack of money to pay for his new pad…or, maybe he’s just decided to live up there so that’s where his new place is located. If the address is something like 777 Street of Gold, then we’ll know for sure.
I have to apologize for the sarcasm in my posts, but this is getting so ludicrous it’s really hard to not delve into a little bit of cynicism…
Good catch Rick.
The Florida property information is in and under the BDBO post: Todd Bentley and wife Shonnah separate.

@Susan
Are you sure Judas had a choice? Based on what I have read, he was chosen and was only a pawn in the grand scheme of things.
Yes. He was the only non-Galilean. Was charge over the disciples funds. Too late for him when he recognize the evil betrayal of Jesus. Greedy I would say. Oh, Tim I must not go on. You had only one question. You go ahead and study about him yourself.
Thanks Bene D….
Everyone, at this post here:
http://www.benedictionblogson.com/2008/08/12/todd-bentley-and-wife-separate/
…at comments 2 and 4 of this post is the proof that Bene D talked about, which proved that Fresh Fire bought a fancy house for Todd and Shonnah and then had to dump it on the market (as I suspected) when that marriage went south.
I wonder, BTW, if Todd plans to formally announce that Jessa is preganant. Of course, *if* she is, as I was careful to say. Maybe this “tweet” is a way of saying it without broadcasting it to everyone, if I have guessed correctly.
Perhaps she’s just going to birth something in the spirit… you know the language…

Well, it can’t be the man-child. According to Bickle, that was supposed to happen shortly after the Solemn Assembly in 1983.
…expectant moms sometimes don’t want to make a ‘public’ announcement until the first trimester is safely past…but maybe when someone is very excited he can’t help but drop some hints a little early…wish I could share in the excitement, but I can’t, I’m still too sorry about family #1, and I wish he would stop trying to expect everybody to “get over it” on his timetable…
@Therese #10
Therese, I may not always agree with your theology, but you often impress me with your insight into what remains of the “human” side of even detestable people. I’m not sure I have worded that very clearly, but hopefully you will understand my point.
Thank you for this lucid point of view.
Before you became a religious nut, you were probably alright.
Cheers (AKA “reformed Nut”)
Howard
Howie, Wish I could take the credit but honestly, and I wish you would believe me, when I tell you it’s because of the cross – enough flesh removed and enough of the veil taken away from my eyes, so that now I can sometimes “see” without wrong-coloured glasses on – I can see reality (truth) more clearly. The scriptures likewise, I can “see” them more clearly too. Wish I knew what happened with you and the others, how to pray, somehow you missed the grace of God, and I think part of the blame at least can be laid at the feet of a powerless church that is also missing it. Maybe somehow you came to the end and weren’t able to break – we have to break to repent and that is the only way to receive Him, and I have trouble with that too, I find it the hardest thing to come to Him and break, there’s a stronghold I’m hiding behind because of past abuses, actually trapped behind – the ‘fowler’s snare’ the bible mentions. And it’s that stronghold that needs to be broken so we can receive Him fully in our deepest parts. Takes His grace. I know you don’t feel you need my sympathy or love, but you have it anyway. Maybe some prodigals will come back to the (real) sheepfold in the next (genuine) go-round of power – I believe there’s going to be one – the Father loves you very much. Please don’t be an enemy of the cross…by all means be an enemy of sin and wrong, but not the cross..
(You have to know by now you’re going to get a sermonette from me
– thank you for your kind words.)
@Therese #12
Trust me Therese – you would still be kind without your imagined “grace”. If anything, you would be even more accepting and compassionate.

I wonder if they will hire a nanny.
…never mind Howie, the truth is the only time I say anything worth listening to is when the Lord over-rules ‘me’ – and I want Him to do that more, He is so wonderful…
T’would be SO grand if people stopped speculating (which turns into gossip) about Todd and his wife. I happen to know them, and firstly, whether or not she was pregnant is not fodder for judgment. Secondly, HCG is indeed a hormone which is released during a woman’s pregnancy, but in Todd’s case, it is used to help a person lose weight. Many people are discovering this weight-loss tool and it works for the majority.
Regarding their dream house, the Father is in the business of restoring ALL things–He is also the Father who loves to give good gifts to His children. He can give anything to anyone at anytime He wants. What I sense is a spirit of jealousy–provoked by a poverty mentality–that says, “if I can’t have a certain thing, why can that person?! Especially if that person is seen as a “sinner” in the eyes of many. Todd has repeatedly repented on public television and stage, and admitted his failures and shortcomings. I have seen his heart and I firmly believe he is truly sincere and his heart is once again soft and humble. Please don’t pass judgment on a man you’ve never met, probably never will, and are, to put it bluntly, afraid of and envious of.
We judge those we envy or are afraid of.
God loves to give good gifts to HIS children…regardless of what sins have been committed in the past. Look at your own life first…
“but in Todd’s case, it is used to help a person lose weight.”
I don’t think he needs drugs, it’s apparent he’s had enough of those already. Personally, I think all he needs to do is sit down and have a big dump. He’s so full of crap that it just keeps spewing from his mouth. Yup, one good dump and Bentley is down to less than 30 pounds… not healthy to lose that much all at once, but hey, since the “Father” is in the restoration business, he should be able to gain it back in no time.
Tim,
If you were an intelligent man, you would have done a little research to see that HCG is NOT a drug…
I am in quite a state of unbelief at how judgmental and hateful you are. Can a person not be restored, if they are repentant as Todd is? Who are you to judge his heart? (man looks on the outward appearance, God looks at the heart–that’s in the Bible by the way). How did Jesus save you? Or, have you turned to Him at all yet?
Your type of response shows the ignorance, lack of discernment, and Pharisaical attitude that plagues the church and has hurt countless people who truly love Jesus and who are truly repentant.
LoveJesus, I guess maybe I should ask the Lord to forgive me for calling a spade a spade. As far as me being unintelligent, I guess we’ll leave that up to the sheep to decide… after all, their decisions and discernment have been 100% correct every time, and you have just proven that… DUH, stupid me!!!!
You’re right, I don’t give a damn about anyone, never have, never will and to top it off, I’m only out to hurt them.
One more thing… You say, “Who are you to judge his heart?”… Well, back at you… Are you not also judging his heart but only arriving at a conclusion contrary to mine? See how stupid we can become within our own ignorance?
I don’t follow a book that says not to judge, I follow a book that says you had better judge!!!
It will all end in ‘tears’
Hey, don’t be surprised if that self-idolizing Frodd posts here; anyone who cannot see he is 100% hypocritical/100% reprobate is under the covering of darkness: “Isa 60:2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples; but Jehovah shall rise on you, and His glory shall be seen on you” MKJV.
Todd is simply a purely evil entity; not in any sense a real man.
——————-
” I have seen his heart and I firmly believe he is truly sincere and his heart is once again soft and humble. Please don’t pass judgment on a man you’ve never met.”
You have “seen his heart”? LOL. Really. And what does darkness look like?
I don’t ever want to meet him, and he for sure hopes he never meets me. His shaktipat demons will be silenced. He would probably have another heart attack. Adulterer, liar, painted up, pierced creature. Have a nice eternity.
F.Y.I.
HGH is used in weight loss programs. Perhaps that is the meaning.
I’ve observed Todd’s Modus operandi is often a method he incorperates into his psycologhy. I think it’s intentional. He seem’s to code his methods of communication, to leave one to speculate. Hmm. The issue about this type behavior, is what does one decode to reach the truth of a matter? Hmmm.
By the way, if it’s for dieting, keep an eye out for that pituitary gland. You know, that little thing at the base of our brains. Hmmm.
Who says because one makes an OBSERVATION,based on Biblical knowledge, and literacy, that one is judging? There is not enough space,to cite the scriptures that apply to false prophets, that even the very elect would be deceived. You never should judge people but making an observation is not only wise it is absolutely necessary,to discern,to try the spirits. Also no one can see anyones hearts but the Father, however ,Jesus said,”out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.”The best stance to take is a wait and see…everything will be revealed in due season.Drugs, alcohol, tatoos, our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, and should not be defiled, also FOODIES,(put a knife to your throat if you are given to appetite) This is not hate speech, its BIBLE……
