Canada home to Liberian war commander Bill Horace

Investigative piece by Michael Petrou at Macleans magazine on a Liberian former commander who has been accused of war crimes. Bill Horace has been living in Canada. Up until recently he attended Rhema Christian Ministries in Toronto after making his way to Canada and marrying a Canadian woman.

This is a chilling piece. Petrou has put himself out there. So has Horace’s ex-wife.  This showed up under his piece a few hours ago and I hope this woman is not in danger.

Charles Taylor and CBN’s Pat Robertson have a long history. Taylor is now in detention at The Hague and on trial.
It’s difficult to know if Rhema Christian Ministries knew they were worshipping with a man accused of war crimes. The Canadian government has said nothing.

Watever Bill did in his past he is sorry for. I dont have anything to do with him, dont even know where he is. Im not happy that this article was even written. However i know him very well, and i know that he will always live with this on his shoulders, he doesnt easliy forget. i hope everything works out well for him for the sake of his children. thanks

Pat Robertson has a long history of this. Back in the early 1980′s he was a close personal friend of General Rios Mont in Guatemala and was accused of committing human rights abuses, including widespread massacres, rape, torture, and acts of genocide against the indigenous Mayan population.

I see the reporter has given you a way to contact him.
    Good.

The story was out, it is now out, updated, and available to a wider public, particularly in Canada.

I would not be happy this story has been written either, I can appreciate you have to support yourself and your child.

Whether Mr. Horace is sorry has little bearing on facts, laws and justice in Canada and Libya.

I truly hope you are safe, and remain safe.

WOW! we had a reconciliation program in Liberia. So unless those crimes alleged by whoever it is that Bill Horace committed war crimes while serving with the NPFL should go the further and come up with real witness accounts of these actions. Let us not be bigger that Bill Horace and show that we are civilize even when others are mad.
