A polite but angry archaeologist, Dr. Robert R. Cargill lays short waste to claims of noah’s ark ministries international that this group out of Hong Kong has found Noah’s ark. Noah’s ark gets found every couple of years, and this year is no exception.
…however, this story may be even more sinister than a simple sensationalist claim. there is evidence that it may have all been a hoax. an article by stephen kurczy in the christian science monitor is now claiming that fellow ark hunter, dr. randall price of liberty university, who once worked with the noah’s ark ministries international group and was the archaeologist on the chinese-led team in 2008 when this alleged discovery was first made, may have been participants in an elaborate hoax. according to the article:
which he goes on to quote in his post; no, no you didn’t find noah’s ark.
Part of the mission of  of media evangelism international is (apart from selling a DVD about this ‘find’ is:
To enhance the moral and spiritual fabric of our society through creative media.
Hoaxes and lying can be elaborate, but hardly creative.
Busted. The Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism are investigating this media company.

PS: Liberty University (Jerry Falwell’s Lynchburg VA fundamentalist school) is facing another scandal. The President and Dean of Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, Dr. Ergun Caner has been er, creative about his background.
Southern Baptist bloggers have been instrumental in uncovering the Liberty U’s staff member errors and lies. A good summary of religious right star Dr. Caner’s claims is here.

I think the whole film was a hoax.

I’m glad to see you picking up the Ergun Caner story. I’ve been disappointed at the rhetoric on both sides, and I despair of this being resolved satisfactorily.
One quick correction, though: Falwell and Liberty broke with the fundamentalists back in the Eighties and should probably be considered evangelical rather than fundamentalist. Fundamentalists are separatist, and Falwell broke with them when he got involved in politics. Fundamentalists also condemn various charismatic practices, including speaking in tongues, and Liberty quietly dropped its bar against students that speak in tongues shortly after the PTL scandal.
Nicely done.

I’ve left one or two messages on this site. I thought freedom of the press was to allow both pro and con to be posted. This may just be coincidence. However, suppose I posted again would my honest respectful comments not be posted again..? Let’s see if it happens with this message as well.
It’s possible your email address is being read by the spam filter as a business addy.

Sir; when you read this comment -(and moderate it)and decide to post it, or not, you may just want to take it as a personal note ‘me to yourself’. No disrespect of you /Sir or this site was intended’.
First, thank you for being most fair and just to me. It was not my intention/goal to post the previous comment I made in order to cause a problem or embarrass you, anyone else or myself. I just did not understand why on two separate occassions when trying to post to this site and make comments, as to why they may not be posted. That is why Sir, I used the word ;’coincidence’ in the post to you. I make mistakes like anyone . Therefore, it is good to know that most likely most of the time there may be ‘a compromising unknown factor’ as to why a post maybe did not get ‘posted’. Any and all comments I make on this site are meant to be fair, just, and honest, and I will take any and all other comments ‘con’ agaist what I may post into consideration. Hello Everyone! I would like to respond to the recent flurry of attention that has come about because NAMI-(Noah’s Ark Minsitries International)-made on or about 4/27/2010 that thay may have found the remains of Noah’s Ark. Yes this post is made of late. However, in the interest to get to the truth about the entire matter all aspects/factors of this possible claim have to be looked at in a :”A-Z” mentality. It is only then when this is done as when anything else investigated as well can one hope to obtain the real truth. Courts of law require it, so why shouldn’t we..?
In light of this my research into such like subjects is much different than what you see on line. My research into many of these things extends over a time period of over 35 + years. The primary reason for not making some of it known is because I wanted to wait for the right time to do so and than reveal it. NOW IS THE TIME!
My research is very vast. Therefore not all of it can be posted here. However, if allright with the benediction moderator my comments and the facts I have on the NAMI Noah’s Ark claim have just begun to be commented on, and for the most part I’m still working on new data and enhanced images on what NAMI has discovered. Up to this date you may find some 10 minute videos I have made on Noah’s Ark and the initial claim that NAMI has made at these following subtitles and urls.-(I mention thee because I cannot post all of the data and enhanced images I have on NAMI and you may find the bulk of what I have as listed below):(SEE COMMENTS AFTER THESE URLS). BACK TO COMMENTS :
In brief let me state this on this site as to the culmination of my research on NAMI’s claim.
#1).-So far, there are a number of issues with the NAMI claim. Let me clarify this does not mean that there is not at least some possible evidence that they may have discovered ‘at least in part may have something of importance’ which could be :
A).-NAMI may have at least in a minimal aspect may have discovered something to do with /or a connection to Noah’s Ark.
OR
B).-NAMI may have discovered ‘something of importance’ in relation/connection to ‘the story of Noah’s Ark’ at the same time the ark or the story of Noah’s Ark may have happened and/or come into existence, within a few hundred years after happening. These are ‘picture writing scenes’ carved into solid surfaced areas like rock, stone and the such that date back to neolithic times-(2500-1700-B.C.). Because these scenes are in ‘picture writing’ we know that this was the first type of written communication man had . Therefore these picture writing scenes involve scenes of the characters as we would see/expect in Noah’s Ark, or at least the story of Noah’s Ark. All I have studied and seen in these enhanced images and parts of the NAMI video I enhanced seem to be consistent with scripture that tell us the story about Noah and the ark.
How ?
My research to date will possibly give at least some form of minimal evidence-(in the urls above) that as you will see in the urls etc. posted above especially then url entitled:”Noah’s Ark Or Hoax”..?-Part-1-(Part-2) will me made available in afew days). These videos specifically show the new data and evidence even from NAMI’s own images and video what is the true shape and design of the possible ark looks like. The Part-2 video goes into this at even greater depth.
So, if any of this is true as I state, what eactly did NAMI discover..? My facts about what my evidence suggests they may have discovered will be made known in Part-2 of my soon upcoming 10 minute video entitled :”Noah’s Ark OR Hoax”-Part-2.Please be loking for my comments on this and the url to the video again to be posted here in this forum again as well.
WHAT DID NAMI DISCOVER..?
(SEE (A-B) above , these are the first two possibilities. The third possibility is that they have possibly discovered ‘ a cave with neolithic picture writing scenes telling the story of :”Noah’s Ark” and /or the story of Noah’s Ark” that has been carved into solid surfaced areas in the cave walls”. Why do I state this could be a cave and maybe not the inside of the ark..? Because as you will see in Part-2 of the :”Noah’s Ark OR Hoax”…? video-(Part-2) I do show evidence that the largest inside area does seem to have a natural geological wall formation that looks strikingly similar to what is refered to in geology as :” Vertical Collonade”. This is a volcanic lava rock formation that forms in a vertical spiral after a volcanic eruption occurred and cooled. Numerous volcanic areas have this. What we see in the largest compartment of “space” as NAMI names it on their website has striking similarities to what I show a comparison image of such a geological collanade example here in the USA. Because of this it coincides with several consistent factors regarding this possible discovery. Which are :
#1). Noah and the Ark.
#2). The story of Noah and the ark.
#3).That it is well known that in the historical apocryphal mentionings of Noah’s Ark there are numerous historical accounts I could give down through history, that show may explorers and /or people made pilgramages /expeditions to look either at the ark remains in the past even all the way up to the 20th century .That in doing so, many times because the weather on Mt. Ararat-(Agri) is also called by the loacals around it as :”The mountain of pain”.Because mainly in a momemnt’s notice the weather can change . Unless you have or can have an area like “a cave” to seek shelter to get out of the weather you may not survive. Therefore, there could be several areas on Mt. Ararat that have places like this to perform such a requirement. The cave we see here no doubt is the earliest such like cave where while people waited for the weather to change on Mt. Ararat where able to read the story about Noah and The Ark in which they may have back then made somne of the earrliest pilgramages known to see the ark reamins or look for it. Yes , it could be this simple and this true!
Sincerely,
RS
First of all I believe the dessemination of the data and images they released ‘could have been made more open’. Meaning what..? Meaning;’ that when anyone looks at their images they are dark, andd kind of vague and do not reveal too much as to what you would expext in such a claim as to truly finding a manmade constructed object. Therefore, when not presented sufficiently it could ‘raise doubts’ to the onlooker.
SECOND REPLY DATED: 07/13/2010
In this second reply on this forum let me please add that in light of NAMI not following through with the scientific process in the aspect and extent of ‘writing at least a minimal scientific paper’ on their possible discovery as the archaeologists-etc. are talking about does seem to lessen their credibility as far as the possible claims are concerned.
It is not so much the claim itself, but maybe ‘the way and approach’ it has been handled in is the main complaint from the opposing side. It also may be that those who see these types of claims as a negative conotation in true reality are just tired of the lack of scientifically needed professioanlism that needs to be followed with such claims.
Or than again it could be that NAMI and others in the past like them who have made such claims about the specific subject of Noah’s Ark could have ‘toned down as much as possible’ what they think they may have found and do it at least in the minimum aspect in some sort of scientific process. Or even if they did make such waht is refered to as a ‘sensational claim’ to at least at a minimum present their data in a little more informative fashion. For what is usually and generally forgotten in these kinds of announcements:”Don’t put the cart , before the horse”. But what devalues these announcements and makes people less and less attentive to what may be truthful and not, is because the same unscientific approach is made it sems last instead of first.
In retrospect , to what I have presented in my last comment I openly invite any archaeologist or other scientist who is interested in what I state here or in the data I have to please contact me and I’ll work with them in writing a paper to present this data I ‘ve made known in my urls I supplied in the last comments I made in this forum. For there is much yet to be seen . Or if this does not develop to be the case I will try to publish a paper on my research soon and will bring you update on this forum and otherwise. Thank you!
Sincerely
RS
Very interesting information RS. I still believe that this may be a hoax, but there really isn’t much good evidence for either scenario. Point Number 3 sounds extremely likely and reasonable.
