Someone helped themselves to BDBO

Someone has mirrored BDBO, which to my non-tech brain means spammers are making money off this blog.

I’m trying to find out what has occurred and if there is anything I can do about it.

Comprar En Línea Celebrex – Online DrugStore

I’ve notified cre8d-design and I’d like to ask for readers help.

The bottom line for me is incredibly simple. No one is going to make money off BDBO (and I can assure you, that has included me) and I will take this blog off line before one cent goes to thieves.
The decision to take BDBO is a last resort scenario, but it is one I am prepared to take. Before I do I need to get a handle on the language of this hijack. Whether it occurs regularly and is just the price of being online is irrelevant to where I am prepared to stand.

I need to: a) understand what is occurring and know b) who I can go to with a solution this problem – a search engine, the hosting company, the domain name seller, WordPress?

There have also been ongoing problems with the comment section, particularly for people using IE.
Cre8d-design has been working on the fix, I apologize to anyone who still can’t comment, drop me an email if you are having difficulty. I appreciate everyone who has cared enough to give me a heads up.

If we cannot deal with the removal of mirrored site, I guess commenting issues will be irrelevant.
I’ll keep you posted.

    Just testing the comment section.

Seems like what happened is someone ripped/copied your site design and uploaded it elsewhere. Actually, it looks like they uploaded it to a directory on your own web space, which means you’ve been hacked (usually they’d just change your main page altogether, but they’ve not done that).

Email your hosting provider to inform them of the situation. The first thing someone there will probably tell you to do is change your password (or they may reset it themselves; I don’t know). You’ll also want to delete the directory the hackers created.

Meanwhile, people should rid themselves of IE if at all possible and start using one of the alternatives. Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari…any of them would be better. (I’m willing to bet the culprit is IE 6, which is sorely out of date. Why people still use it is beyond me.)
