On February 1, 2010 Suzanne Hinn filed for divorce from televangelist Benny Hinn
in Orange County Superior Court. At the time of filing a public reason for the divorce proceeding was not given. Mrs. Hinn hired Sorrell Trope, a well known California celebrity divorce lawyer. Suzanne and Benny had been married for over 30 years.

Giving time for Benny Hinn (respondent) to get the papers, it’s possible the public could hear about finalization and other details soon. Hinn told his children on February 17th, according to a public statement on his website. News outlets ran the statement starting around February 18th.
That was six months ago, so let me ask my US friends familar with California law: would the divorce have taken place or would it legally take place soon if Hinn received written notification when he supposedly told his four adult children?

I suspect that suzzane is serious and Benny is going to loss a lot of money in the process. Its going to hurt. So I suspect that benny will be looking for his Partners to dig real deep to make up the difference.

Jesus gave just one reason for divorce, infidelity, and that was ONLY because of the hardness of the human heart. Forgiveness is a grace received by Jesus, especially if there true repentance on the part of the offender. Why is the Church revelling in this news? Regardless of the person, whether well-known or not, or the circumstances, I am sure this makes the heart of our Lord grieve. Marriage is a covenant relationship between two people, a picture of our marriage as the Bride with the Bridegroom. Is it not then safe to assume that marriage and family is the number one target of our arch enemy, Satan? This is all so sad.
Something serious had to happen for Suzanne to hire a celeb lawyer and wanting a divorce from Hinn after 30 yrs of marriage. Since Benny Boy can “heal” people all over the glob then he can easily “heal” his marriage with the tip of His finger !

When ministers get in the pulpit and preach false doctrine or grab for money, they are polluting or corrupting the church. The Word says they will in turn be corrupted. They sow it and they reap it. God loves them sure, but they are not immune to reaping the rewards of their sin.

Your request is problematic. Jesus didn’t always send people to the priest to verify healing. You might want to reread your Bible. Offhand I can think of only one type of situation where he did: healing lepers. Because the priest had to verify that the ex-lepers were indeed no longer leprous. That was how God ordained that a leper could be reintroduced back into the community. It wasn’t said to validate His work, but to give the afflicted a bridge back into their communities. Jesus = God, and thus needed no further validation (but yes God’s Word never changes, so Jesus sending the healed lepers to the priest was in keeping with what He had already said).
To expand that to (all healings must be verified with empirical evidence) becomes increasingly legalistic, and goes against what Jesus said about asking for signs and wonders (“empirical proof” of who He was). And not in keeping with Jesus actions as recorded inthe synoptic gospels: There’s no way he would have sent the Canaanite woman (good look getting the priest to acknowledge you) or the Roman Centurion’s servant (maybe he was Jewish, but he was a serving their oppressor, again g/l with that) to the temple. More often than not Jesus was quoted as either telling people to go and sin no more, or to be quiet about what happened.
Back to why it’s problematic: even if she presents you with evidence that she’s legit you won’t believe her. Call it the skeptics paradox. I’ll skip calling it Pharisaical for now. I’d be running headlong into James 4:11-2. And dealing with Matthew 23 gets murky and leads to quagmires. I don’t know you, I don’t know if you’re legit.
Just as no one posting on this blog really knows what has happened with the Hinn’s. Just to be clear Benny has always rubbed me wrong – but what I’m called to do because I’m not in his circle of influence is to pray for him and his family. What’s going on there gives all preachers a bad name.
Which is a shame because there are many who in one way or another have and hold to their own version of the Modesto Manifesto. (Even the WoF crowd that just finished up the Southwest Believers Convention).

Hey i have been healed by the annointing on this mans ministy 2 other friend i also was ther when one of my friends husband foot was amputated he could not move this foot. it was swollen. but that night he was healed it was not Benny it was God not Benny. To know the difference between the ‘anti’ Christ and the ‘real deal’ you need to know what – That Jesus does not pick and choose who gets healed and who doesn’t.
He came ‘to show us who does!
You can check the case at http://www.occourts.org – select case access, then family law, accept the terms, and enter the case number 10D000898. The last action was on June 11. The petition was served on Feb 1, but it may well be that the 6 months can be extended due to arguments over division of assets and custody of children, etc. Perhaps someone with more legal knowledge than me can interpret what’s happening, but the simple answer is that Hinn is not yet divorced.

Since Hinn has repeatedly said his ministry is first, has to be protected etc. anything his organization puts out will be boilerplate PR. And I think boilerplate pr is about as far from the truth as possible.
I’ve been wondering- Is it that Benny cannot do anything to save the marriage? Can’t they give it another chance to let it work- to right their wrongs. The situation between Benny & Suzanne Hinn is very delicate so in my opinion is this, I will not judge him or her because the bible says in Mattew 7:1 & 2 Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Whatever is going on in there marriage its between them & God himself. Cause all i know is that I am going through a test myself in my own marriage, so i can feel for them going through the “FIRE” like it says in the book of ISAIAH 43 it’s not easy believe me on that but God himself will fight this battle for them because Jesus never lost a battle, plus Jesus loves them both so much! God does not delight in divorce. Mark 10 shows us that the Pharisee’s came to ask Jesus if it was lawful for divorce and Jesus replied “Well what did Moses say?” and then the Pharisee’s replied that it was permitted by Moses for a man to get a certificate and send his wife away. And Jesus replied, “well it was because of the hardening of your hearts, but that in the beginning God had made them male and female, husband and wife, they shall each leave their parents and become one flesh. What God joined together let no man seperate.”
the reason for divorce Jesus gives here is for the hardening of the heart. However where the heart is hardened the Spirit is not, because like He says, “Your heart of stone, I will make it a soft heart”. I guess we just need to pray for Benny Hinn and His wife. Praying that Grace will carry their family and that his wife will open up her spiritual ears and allow God to rule her, not her emotions. It’s all about putting the flesh under submission. I believe maybe God is trying to work in her some seeds of patience and love, but her heart is hard, so those seeds are falling on stony ground.
Hopefully she makes the right choice to not divorce Him. It’s not biblical and God is not happy. Plus she’s only hurting her spiritual man.
No one is perfect. I do not excuse their behavior. For people who go into the ministry, there is a standard and a moral code that is espected to be honored and abided by. Police are not expected to break the law, however, some do and some get caught and they suffer reprocussions and consequences. They are punished harshly. By the law and the community.
Ministers are expected to obey the Word of God, however, they are human and they too have weaknesses, as all humans do. But if they were living by the Word of God as they preach, it would seem these ministers would be able to call on that strength and use better judgement concerning their relations. I am an anointed singer and musician. I recently went through a divorce. No cheating or infidelity involved, however, his behavior as a husband and a dad was unacceptable in any culture or standard. We had to leave to survive, to eat, to sleep, to get to school. We had to separate from him just to live life safe and stable within our means. My 9 year old son called 911 one night. I realized then that I had to do something that I did not believe in,”DIVORCE.”
Benny Hinn’s wife knows what she has to do. Getting caught is one thing, having a track record is another. I only spent 10 years in my marriage of miserable circumstances. But if I had been happy and safe, provided for and loved, I would still be there trying to make it. Mrs. Hinn knows her circumstances. Whether she is hurt beyond repair or embarrassed, mocked, or just tired of his shit, she knows what she must do. She’ll either stay there or leave. Be it a legal or a spiritual separation.

In general, coming from heaven’s perspective, people, especially Christians, should refrain from speculating on matters they don’t really have any revelation knowledge about. Jesus taught, in essence, that if you don’t have anything good to say, then it better be left unsaid. Many of the so-called “issues” that people rant and rave about are, in God’s mind, meant to be discussed privately only, between those who have inside knowledge. Good advice: let’s all be led by the Spirit. That’s how you bless yourself (and God) – by abiding in Him. Let’s be careful not to treat people as enemies. Even if they are our enemies, we are to bless them. Right? Not that we should ignore the truth, but we must know how to respond and keep a good confession (Num.22:38). I actually suppose you are beginning to comprehend! Having lived in your world I understand BOTH sides. I’d chose freedom of thought and liberation from bondage. I do not fear the screams of plastic dolls tossed into the fire. If that comes across as anger, then you are interpreting something in the communication that is not present.

The object of your study is no more than primitive superstitious trash. There is no god, there is no spirit, and there is no soul! Christ was a fraud. If you think otherwise, give us proof.
