To My Friends, Partners & Ministry Colleagues,
I want to speak with you frankly and from my heart.
Last Friday, the National Enquirer released a dishonest and misleading article which falsely characterized my friendship with Pastor Benny Hinn. The publication, which is known for its bias and slanting of the truth, tries to mislead readers regarding the ministerial relationship and friendship I have had with Pastor Benny for over 20 years.
Specifically, the National Enquirer released the misguided and untruthful article, which falsely characterized my friendship with Pastor Benny as being something that is morally and spiritually inappropriate. The article goes on to suggest that we were having an improper intimate relationship, which is categorically false.
In late May of this year, I went to tape a “This Is Your Day” broadcast with Pastor Hinn. Although I had not seen him in years, the taping gave us the opportunity to catch up on what has transpired in both of our lives. As someone who also endured a painful and public divorce, I was able to offer him insight and spiritual encouragement. Since that time we have continued to talk and our friendship has grown stronger but has remained morally and spiritually pure.
I publicly profess and forcefully renounce assertions that the recent trip to Italy to meet with Vatican officials suggests that the friendship is in any way improper or morally impure .We traveled independently to the region for respective ministry duties and, while there, spent time together along with others. We were never alone and were in the constant company of staff and other associates.
I value my friendship with Pastor Benny and remain supportive with a deep respect of him, his family and his ministry. My relationship with Pastor Benny is genuine and pure and should not be taken out of context.
I value most of all, the call of God on my life and am forever grateful for the opportunities He has given me to proclaim this great gospel of Jesus Christ around the world. To those who would try to thwart those opportunities in any way by shedding false light, I will by all means protect the call of God on my life and hold accountable their malicious actions in every way possible.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the outpouring of your love and support and for allowing me to share my heart with you. I am forever grateful that you have stood with me for the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to proclaim His good news. You have always been a strength and encouragement to me as we have continued to advance His kingdom together for His glory.

As you may be aware, the National Enquirer recently released a dishonest and misleading article which falsely characterized my friendship with Paula White. The publication, which is known for its bias against religious figures, misleads readers regarding the ministerial friendship I have had with Paula White for over 20 years.
As you know, my wife, Suzanne, filed for divorce at the beginning of this year. If it were not for the comfort of the precious Holy Spirit and the Word of God to give me encouragement throughout this process, I cannot imagine how I could have survived the past five months. Throughout this season, your love and prayers have helped strengthen me to continue ministering around the world. Were it not for your faithfulness and the presence of my wonderful Lord Jesus, the loneliness of carrying this burden by myself would have been unbearable.
In late May of this year, Paula White came to tape a This Is Your Day broadcast with me. Although I had not seen her for years, she was an encouragement to me and shared helpful advice out of her own painful experience. As a result, I will not deny that the friendship has strengthened, and, while it has remained morally pure at all times, I have enjoyed the company of someone who has also gone through the trauma of a painful and public divorce.
But most of you know me personally and know that I have faithfully preached the Gospel for over 35 years. I have never failed my marriage vows and would never dishonor the precious name of Jesus, whom I adore with all my being…and I never will! As I have often said, I would rather die than bring dishonor to His name.
And so I am writing to tell you today that I forcefully, categorically, and absolutely renounce the lies that have been spread about me and want to set the record straight with you. There is nothing inappropriate or morally improper about my friendship with Paula White.
There has been no immorality whatsoever!
The article also indicated that on a recent trip to Italy we met secretly and stayed together. This could not be further from the truth and is absolutely false! The truth is that we traveled independently to the region for respective ministry duties. I was invited by Vatican officials to visit the Vatican to discuss future ministry opportunities there. Paula was likewise invited to have meetings in the region, and, although we spent time together, we were never alone and were in the constant company of staff and family members.
That notwithstanding, I have become increasingly aware that the optics of this friendship have caused others to draw conclusions that are incomplete and unfounded. And because of my preeminent priority to my ministry and calling, Paula and I have concluded that we should avoid the appearance that our friendship is biblically impure or violates Scripture in any way. Paula and I also recognize that being seen in such settings is unwise, and we have independently determined that we will have no further social relationship until such time as my divorce has concluded and only if we feel direction from the Lord to do so.
I am using this season to seek the Lord and His Word as my Counselor and Guide as my family and I recover from the pain and disappointment of the loss of my marriage of over 30 years. My commitment to preaching the Gospel, as I have done for over 35 years, has only intensified through this experience; and the precious Lord Jesus I adore is the true love of my life and my unfailing companion for all eternity.
Thank you for your prayers, your love, and all your support for me and my family. You are precious to me and I will not fail you; but most of all I will never fail the wonderful Lord Jesus who is life and breath to me.

Update: Benny Hinn Ministries have either taken his statement down or have buried it because it is no longer at the link provided. The URL redirects to the front page and a search for article 7088 comes up empty. People noticed the White and Hinn statements were written by the same copy-writer; why Hinn’s statement has been moved or removed is unknown.
Update: July 30 Paula White seems to have disappeared her similarly worded statement from her website today. Why?
Benny says that he will only be friends with her after the divorce, and only if the Lord leads. Anyone else who came out of Charismania, like myself, knows that this language is used when you are talking about something more than being friends.
Now, just to totally speculate (because i’m not a reporter)… Did you notice that Suzanne filed for divorce shortly after Benny and Paula were guest speakers at the same conference in January… and now they claim that the first time they saw each other in years wasn’t until May? Maybe it’s a coincidence.
I admit I don’t understand the layered language.

Re: the language
does it make sense to that he would end a 20 year friendship and only take it up again if God wills? Do you think he’s done this with all his female friends? It’s obvious to me that he thinks of her as more than just simply a friend. It’s a major decision that, in his mind, must be done by God’s will. If he did that for all his friends, then it would be normal. Since this one requires special circumstances, that makes her special.
But neither 1 didn’t address the hand holding going in and out of the Telly (Hotel) . And yes we won’t be seen until divorce is final def code for afterwards it’s popin’. N why R our leaders leaning to the Catholic church? What kinda foolishness is this? Funny in this pic esp the one going in there is no staff around. I had a best female friend in church we never held hands and we were @ 1 point attracted to each other BC that’s a nO No! Esp if the other is married, bad marriage or not.

What is not wise, is not wise. Misguided affections must be made accountable. When accountiblilty is resumed, the full impact of the folly of error can then begin to be understood, as foolish. Moral consciousness, must also be ethical to this conclusion. Shall Wisdom grant mercy and grace to the greatness of leadership and what is expected of them. Deep regret will redefine the value of friendship and the disciplines required to live by. May we all have the collective responsibility to devote ourselves to Wisdom’s call . The devastation of defeat wrought among even exemplary leaders who choose to serve by Divine call – must face their humanity and conquer.
So shall we pause to this self-examination – take inventory of our lives and inspire our hearts towards this pledge of evolution.
When we seek Wise Counsel … Wisdom welcomes our presence, while offering mercy and grace for the courage to attempt to live it. To Throw The Stone, or Not To Throw The Stone, that is the question. Christian married men and woman should never spend time alone with the opposite sex. Those who do are in spiritual adultery – until some go further into adultery. I’ve seen it over and over again in churches where pastors start with spiritual adultery then end up destroying their marriage and their ministry. God will not be mocked. Everything that is done in secret will eventually be exposed.
PAULA WHITE you should not be holding the hand of a married man — especially a Man of God.

He’s very flamboyant about his presence, has a security detail, and even goes as far as booking an entire floor sometimes, so I don’t think he’s signing in under David Soloman to avoid crowds or danger.
But I’ll give you that one just for the sake of argument.
This point you can not explain away, though: He and his inner circle are liars. Period. Not white lies. Not innocent lies. Full on bald face lies.
I know LOTS of things directly from his security detail. This are guys who spend hours, days, months with him. They rarely leave his sight and the travel everywhere with him. They have stories to tell.
They knew Sue was living apart long before anyone else. They provided security for her and the kids. They knew Benny was planning on filing divorce before Sue did it. So the act of pretending to be shocked is a total fabrication, bad acting and a blatant LIE! They knew Paula had stayed at Benny’s house before this whole Rome episode and that Benny had mention he and she were an “item” now.
I can go on about firing people without cause, suing staff members to get them to shut up about things they knew and might say, about altering employees invoices and shorting their paychecks.
Linda, the list goes on and on. They liar and cheat and do not act the way a Christian organization should. How can you excuse that sort of behavior? With the simple, “well, we’re all human and make mistakes” line? That doesn’t cut it. They have intimidated, threatened, presssured, and used the threat of God’s retaliation over the years to get people to tow the line, shut up and be quiet, and turn the other way when they do things that wouldn’t cut it even in the secular world, much less the CHRISTIAN world of business. It’s shameful. It’s disgusting. It’s dishonest and
mocks Gods and His righteousness. The reason I’m speaking up is that it’s gone on too long and finally, FINALLY people are starting to not back down and finally maybe it’s time for Pastor Benny to learn humility and change his ways.
He changes his look, his marital situation, releases the choir director he’s had for decades, gets new music and a horn section, goes from arenas to ballrooms and back to arenas…. He keeps changing everything to make it fresh and new, a “new season” (which he’s been promising for 20 years now)…he’s trying to fix what’s NOT broken, but he refuses to reflect and see that it’s himself that has the problem. Not those around him, not the Holy Spirit, but Benny needs fixing. His life is an experiment, his theology a mixture of mysticism, Catholicism, Evangelical Christianity, and a large dose of megalomania.
At what point would you be willing to admit that maybe, JUST MAYBE Benny was at fault and he should confess or step aside and take some time out to straighten out his and his family’s life? Does he have to murder someone? Does he have to be caught robbing a bank with a gun in his hand? Does he have to physically assault someone and be caught on camera doing it? I find it amazing how people will just excuse behavior that is totally unbecoming and unacceptable in general and absolutely unacceptable for a preacher, a Christian preacher. I can only hope God is as forgiving of me as you are of Benny.
Then I can get away with all kinds of crap. I admire your ability to emulate Christ and be so forgiving, but God ALSO expects us to be ACCOUNTABLE. And as a LEADER he has a higher standard to live up to. People’s lives are affected by his actions. People faith and salvation can be affected by his deeds. Granted, he has lead tens of thousands to the Lord (if those are all real conversions) and that’s amazing and he will get his reward in Heaven for that service. For THAT I admire him. Sadly Benny thinks he can reward himself here on earth.
Let me finish by saying this: my understanding of the proper hierarchy that the Bible teaches is God, Family, Career. Benny chose to put his career ahead of his family a long, long time ago. His marriage and his children have suffered because of that. Benny confuses his career as a preacher with God. He sometimes or often puts his career equal or ahead of God. Witness the obsession with the private jet. CEO’s all across America somehow get by with leasing corporate jets instead of spending huge amounts of money purchasing a plane and the full time pilots that go along with that. The whole jet purchase as yet another lie he told the Partners. He made it sound like for ONLY $9 million they could buy the plane from another ministry. The truth is that was a fraction of the cost. That only bought out the lease agreement from GE finance. It was deceptive and dishonest and for months he begged and hounded people for the money. If God wanted him to have that it would’ve happened without this dishonesty.
Benny needs to be humbled, needs to repair his relationship with Sue and needs to be a father to his kids. It’s probably too late for all of that. It’s a sad, sad example to his kids, his Partners, Christians and the world and we wonder why Hollywood and the media and non-believers think we’re idiots, hypocrites, and nuts.
How many unsaved souls out there see this kind of behavior and other ministers who act similarly and decide they want nothing to do with our religion and a God who apparently must condone this behavior. Maybe that’s why Islam is growing: because they have the appearance of discipline. We MUST stand up for the truth and against
corruption in the Church. God uses us to defend the faith.
You want to call that being judgmental. That’s like the world using the word “hate” at the drop of a hat these days. “What’s with all the hate?” It’s a tactic to get people to step down and shut up. Just like accusing someone of being a racist when that usually has nothing to do with the root cause of a problem. I’m not judging Benny. Only God can do that. Only God can forgive him, I don’t have the power to forgive any man in the true sense. I can accept someone’s apology IF IT’S OFFERED, but true forgiveness comes from God. And Benny isn’t really asking for it. He’s trying to explain away his actions.
He nor Paula have yet denied they were at the hotel together. You’d THINK that’d be the first thing they’d say.
They just claimed there was nothing improper about their friendship. That’s lawyer talk. Right: there is nothing improper about their FRIENDSHIP. Ok, now address your RELATIONSHIP. If it’s raining outside and i say “it’s not sunny today” I haven’t told the complete truth or given you an idea of what the weather really is like. They’re playing games with words. Politicians do that. Thieves do that. Cheats do that. You want to defend Benny or defend Righteousness?

Oh how the Mighty will fall. They say he registered under “David Solomon” what did she register under?? The pictures show no “staff” surrounding them and The look on their faces show GUILT. Just reminds me of the Jim Baker (PTL) with Jessica Hahn and Jimmy Swaggert with the prostitutes, and many more that are not on Television. This is very disheartening to the believer and I can only pray. My faith and hope still resides in the ALMGHTY.

Among many other things, why does Hinn require police motorcades with sirens blaring attracting attention to himself? Is he a minister of the Gospel, or not? Why the Presidential like security? Why the most expensive hotels? Why the private jet? Why the properties worth millions? Why the nauseating pleas for millions of dollars to cover “ministry debts”? etc, etc. where is the accountability?… who’s kidding who?
The obscene excesses of Hinn’s lifestyle are irreconcilable with the Gospel.
God is indeed the same yesterday, today and forever…our Faith must be built on the solid rock – not on following wolves masquerading in sheep’s clothing.
Hopefully Senator Chuck Grassley (and others) will continue to ask the tough questions.
I think Paula White saw her opportunity and was closing in to get Benny before the marriage was final and before another woman could leave any imprint on him. She’s obviously had her eye on him for years. I personally believe they did have an affair or at least they wanted to. Holding hands with another woman when you are married means infidelity at least of the heart, if not of the body. The lying about not seeing each other in years when they were at a conference together in January this year also casts suspicion. The whole thing is not pure or innocent or morally acceptable no matter what they may say. They want us to care about their ministries and all those starving orphans but how much do they care? Not enough. The priority was to hold hands in Italy with so much at stake. They must be in love to risk everything by holding hands. They will lose support dollars over this.
Well i have no idea what is going on but i pray that nothing is going on between these two televangilist and if it is just don’t let it be immoral or unspiritual. But hey i think he’s kind of old for her so theres another question.

What Paula and Benny did is no longer a surprise to any genuine believer.
The bible has many admonitions and warning that in the last days there are
many mockers of the word and merchandise makers. Reading and memorising
texts of the bible is not an evident whether or not a person is God sent. Satan can
do well but always omitted what the text emphasize. Benny has no solid bible
teaching for the spiritual progress of his followers. Not even the basic bible doctrine.
I fully agree with my mentor Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum said, an erroneous doctrine will only lead to blatant error and suppositions.
Ariel ministry is one of my recommendation where the word of God is systematically
taught. Verse by verse and line by line. The teaching is taken from the original
texts ( Jewish Frame of Reference) to better provides us clear understanding of
the entire counsel of the word of God so we will learn on to piece together the
disjointed segment of truth.
Charlatan preachers like benny can easily be distinguished through his senseles
and out of context sermons. Satan won’t be succesfull in his plan of deceptions to
humanity when one feels uncomfortable and being hurt on biblical truth. You
can noticed Benny hinn and many others always tell the people what they wanted
to hear. Prosperity gospel is the highlight of Hinn in order to take control of one’s
pocket including watches, rings and valuable personal effects.
Street Holduppers will be handcuffed and brought behind bars when caught.
Benny is praised when all church members money is getting into his possesion
added with 5 star hotel accomodation and kingly welcome.

I just want to bless You.
You remind me of apostle Paul in I Corinthians,Chapter 1 (the whole chapter) where he is admonishing believers for consenting sexual sin in their midst by someone who confesses to be a brother.
Then in the last verses he says that God judges the ones on the outside but it’s our responsability to judge those on the inside (church).
In fact Paul is telling them to get rid of that person because a small portion of leaven will affect the whole lump.
Many will think that you are being judgemental but I sense Your heart and Your zeal for the Word of God.Your words are not malicious!

A friend of mine wanted to be neutral in this matter (benny hinn and paula white).

God spoke through prophet Isaiah and asked him to ask a sign from God even a big sign.
Ahaz tries to be more spiritual than God and said that he wouldn’t do that.That he wouldn’t tempt God.
If God was the One giving him instructions to ask for a sign,how could it be considered tempting God?
It’s the same in the church Today: many decide to stay “neutral” because they don’t want to tempt God.However God wants for us to judge what happens in the church according to His Holy Word!
That’s how we can separate the wheat from the chaff!

Paula White nor Benny Hinn have a right to spiritual advice each other. That is not of God. This happen to me and my husband he starting gettin counseling from a female preaching in our church at during the time we were having problems. You know where those advice end up with…………… If they both need advice Paula should get advice from a female pastor, and Bennie from a male pastor. Thank you Irene
Paula and Benny have still not admitted they lied throughout this whole “affair” to their church/partners and they won’t admit what the picture shows-Benny took Paula to Rome with him and they were photographed going in and out of his hotel-Paula with short shorts. This leaves very little to the imagination. These two need to confess all publicly. I WAS a partner with Paula but no more-I dropped Benny after his tirade ag. Joel Osteen-both are headed for a big fall-money won’t help them then. God requires repentance before restoration nad if these two think they can be a law unto themselves and continually fool themselves and others-they have a rude awakening coming. David tried to hide his sin but a Nathan came and he repented. Jimmy Swaggart refused to submit after his first episode and a second episode brought him to fall,repent, step down and then be restored. It is a shame the Church leaders look the other way. We saw it happen with the Catholic Church and their priests and Benny and Paula won’t be any different. They are running now but repentance(public confession) and submission to authority is their only solution or further destruction and humiliation await them-the choice is their’s.

It presents countless video footage of Benny in crusade, on TBN and from his own show ‘This is your Day.’
Among the things he said….when the ‘anointing’ is on him, his children are afraid of him. That statement alone speaks for itself since the Bible clearly states that ‘God has not given us a spirit of fear…..’
Also, when Benny is slaying people (sometimes entire rows of people), he’s often heard speaking in a deep gutteral voice saying ‘fire on you.’

My suggestion to Mr Hinn would be to listen to some restoring the family tapes. Even if his wife is filing for Divorce he admits he put ministry first. That can change if he repents to them and begins to live a life of putting his wife and family first. Divorce and jumping into another relationship especially one that also has been hurt what are you asking for? Restoration or more pain?
Benny Hinn and Paula White put only themselves first. It is quite common when you are the “superstar”-God’s man or woman of the hour to develop a privileged mentality and that people exist to serve you. Your needs are first-after all, the world needs your ministry. Pride sets in and before confessing and admitting wrongdoing, it is covered up and buried for the good of the ministry the world can’t live without. There is a power shift happening and God is exposing those who live like that. They may have gotten away with it before but it is being exposed for what it really is-it’s a shame the Church allows this behavior to go on too long unnoticed and won’t show the back bone necessary to deal with it. Professional sports deals with its athletes far more quickly than the Church with wayward ministers-what a shame!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Come on people of God, when are you all going to grow up and stop treating T.V. preachers like movie stars. Just whom do they serve, represent, and honor the Lord King Jesus Christ or themselves in their multi-million dollar lifestyle? These shepherds know how easy it is to fleece stupid sheep in the flock, manipulating, twisting, and perverting doctrines. A tree is known by its fruit, may they read what the Lord did to a fruitless fig tree.They are not to blame that you deceived yourself by their brightness, it is just their way, if you have been stupid enough to give “Gods offerings” to these types, wake up, stop, pray, give to the poor or widows, anybody who serves the Good Sheperd. Remember, when walking in a pasture and you step in something, if it looks like it, smells like it, please don’t taste it, it probably is. As far as I see it about ‘Cow Patty’ White & ‘Buffalo Chip’ Hinn, be blessed to reap all your sown seeds, harvest does happen.
If money was removed from the tv ministry business, how many of these so-called preachers, bishops, and teachers would fold their tents and quit serving all together ?
