Sorry for the lack of posting, it’s a long weekend in Canada, I’m working as a volunteer for a festival and a lot of changes have been going on in my life which have been keeping me busy.
Let’s get to it.
For those interested in the Hinn vs Hinn divorce proceedings in the Superior Court of Orange County, California, the case # is 10D000898. For those who are familiar with family law in California, feel free to explain the terminology to those of us outside the US.
I mentioned under another post that Phil Cooke – a media company owner in the US tweeted something which may or may not have to do with the National Inquirer story.

On July 23, the pictures of Hinn and White in Rome were in The National Enquirer.
July 24th, Hinn released his statement and Paula White released hers. We know it’s likely from the wording, the same copy writer was used. We know what was not said in the statements. Hinn was the first to take his statement down. White followed a few days later.
On July 28th The Associated Press reported Hinn was begging for donations to make up for what he said was a 2 million dollar shortfall. Last Saturday morning (July 24th) while looking for Hinn’s location, I found his call for the 2 million was online on his site prior to his weekend statement in response to the Rome rendezvous. That statement was put up while he was in Sweden. Hinns begging for 2 million was already online.
Hinn has a long history of begging. His Swedish host who had been asked not to have him speak, came out publicly against the gnosticism in Hinn’s Saturday speech. It was big news in Sweden. By mid-week Swedish newspapers had picked up on the Rome rendezvous.
I believe around or after the day Paula White took down her statement on the Rome rendezvous, this may have appeared on her church website. (Without Walls International Church in Florida)

A lot can happen in the Orange County divorce court proceedings (and in media) between now and October, and I’m curious to know who Phil Cooke was referring to in his cryptic tweet.

Naxus – Will not a curse just go to the cross when we pray blessing and forgiveness for our enemies who have cursed us? This is how we disarm evil – through forgiveness. Jesus became a curse for us..all the sins of mankind including curses were laid on Him and crucified with Him..A curse without a cause cannot alight..
Gal 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”
These are questions that you came up with and I have no scriptural foundation to justify your assumptions. The curse of the law is something entirely different from spells vexes and hexes and any other forms of witchcraft. If you can equate the curse of the law with witchcraft then you have a point but you nor anything else can. Your presentation of simple scriptures in these matters are in error-unfortunately you have presented red herrings, I dont like that, please dont do that.
Red herrings is a dishonest method of argument and one loses all credibly as a result. I will not respond to you Teresa any further. There is no point. Satan used this method with Christ when he tempted Him. Jesus plainly told him to get lost.

Benny Hinn says his ministry needs $2 million. If he would just sow two cents to a fellow prosperity preacher and be patient, he’d get out of financial trouble, right? (See math above!) BH believes his own message of prosperity, but why doesn’t he give generously to the next man like him?
I guess my real question is this: Why can’t a snake charmer be charmed by the next?
Naxus, you are making wrong assumptions about my motives. It’s possible I’m mistaken, but why do you assume and accuse me of dishonesty? Nevertheless, I find it somewhat puzzling that you are disturbed by my comment. Is it a sin to curse our fellow man? The law is all about curses that come to those who sin – whether by sending curses or any other sin. Jesus and the cross are about mercy – love your enemies, pray for them. I was wondering with regard to the subject of cursing, what you thought about that….because eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth is of the law, it seems to me that sending back curses to the one who sent them comes under that (law), but we who believe are no longer under the law. Maybe that will make my train of thought a little clearer..

I would say because he doesn’t need to – he’s already filthy rich! Funny how the prosperity gospel only prospers the TV evangelists who live off the charity of their much poorer viewers and followers. (Makes me wonder if they have any self-respect at all, or how they can sleep at night.) But the deceitfulness of wealth has caught up with many of them and how deceived they have become!
Naxus, let me tell you about a little experience I had recently: One morning I was up a little earlier than usual and started washing a few dishes in the kitchen sink. Looking out the window I saw one of my neighbours who lives behind us performing some kind of Hindu ritual, a couple of times she looked straight at me and manifested the demon she was worshiping – it felt like the devil knew my address and was sending curses on me and my family and I had a moment of panic, having never experienced this kind of direct spiritual threat before. I right away asked for help and advice on a Christian blog I participate in, and a brother in the Lord reminded me to forgive and to pray blessing and forgiveness for my Hindu neighbour, which I did (duh!) and the result was…..very anticlimactic… nothing happened in other words, praise God…. the powers and principalities were disarmed, no curses came on me and mine, and no curses were returned to my neighbour, she could really have been harmed otherwise. Well the experience has really illustrated to me – that this is the power and authority (and responsibility) that we wield as believers – to disarm evil through forgiveness and blessing.
Jhn 20:21-23 Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you FORGIVE anyone his sins, THEY ARE FORGIVEN; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”
Col 2:13-15 When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He FORGAVE us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross. And having DISARMED the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.
I was reminded also of an occasion in the past when someone hurt me and I didn’t bother to forgive or pray for the person, but they fell and broke their arm or collarbone, I forget which, very soon after the incident. That had also taught me to release forgiveness and pray right away, but in my panic with the neighbour I had forgotten that little lesson, that if we don’t forgive when others sin against us, they are not forgiven. But God’s desire is that mercy triumph over judgment, now made possible through the cross!
Naxus, When you made that comment about sending curse back to the sender, I had never heard of that before. I just wanted to see that scripture that was all. I did not mean to suggest that you or anyone else was dabbling in witchcraft or white magic and forgive me if that is how you took it, I am learning like everyone else. In the NAR/WOF circles, some do dabble in witchcraft and the occult and divination. I just wanted to see the scriptural bases for what you were talking about, I offended you and for that forgive me. I have not responded to you since that one statement. Their is another “Therese” responding to you which is not me, I spell my name Teresa. I have not reponded to you because I know that is not the topic and I did not want to argue with you about this.
