Deciding to grab the bull by the horns, Benny Hinn devoted much of his TV program yesterday to discussing his divorce and the allegations that he and Paula White are having an affair.
Special thanks to CBN News, which had a reporter watch the broadcast and report on what he said.
Hinn reportedly said that his wife was wanting a divorce mostly due to his his forgetting his family for ministry duties. Neither he nor his wife had ever committed adultery.
CBN quotes Hinn as follows regarding the National Enquirer article:
“They did not even call me to ask me questions. They simply came up with their own story,” he said. “That’s wicked. It’s totally wicked.”
Hinn explained that he was appointed “Patron of the Arts” by the Vatican and asked to find donors so their art collections could be maintained. He chose White as one of those donors.
“I let her come with me to Rome so she can donate money. That was stupid on my part. And for that, I do ask forgiveness,” he said. “But that was an innocent mistake — nothing to do with stupid stuff.”
Thanks much to CBN, as I don’t make a practice of watching Hinn on TV.
One quote in the article, where Hinn talks about the events leading to his divorce might prove to be prophetic. I’ll add some emphasis:
“I don’t care how strong you are,” Hinn continued. “I don’t care if the anointing of God is mighty on you. Nobody wants to be alone. I don’t care who you are. I am a human being just like you.”
If you remember Phil Cooke’s speculation that two prominent evangelists were about to be engaged, this is potentially interesting. If we also remember that Todd Bentley quickly remarried to a lady who was eager to help with ministry where his starter wife wasn’t, I wonder if Hinn might be tempted in the same direction. Would he need a female partner in ministry so he wouldn’t be “lonely”, given that was the reason that he doesn’t want to divorce Suzanne?
Perhaps the ground is being readied for Mr. Cooke’s eyepopping wedding right now? Interesting to consider…
BD here. Hinn’s TV show – August 5, 2010 ( I don’t watch Hinn either Rick)
Also if you are curious about what a Vatican Patron of the Arts is – here you go. This man said his ministry cut 21 million dollars the past two years, he started begging for 2 million just before going to Sweden and the National Enquirer article, and his Rome trip was supposedly “I was invited by Vatican officials to visit the Vatican to discuss future ministry opportunities there.” Oh.

Had a quick look on Google and most of the blog posts on Benny Hinn and Paula White for the past day appear to be in Spanish or Portuguese. Hmm…
He admits that he didn’t spend time with his family and that is why His wife asked for divorce. Why didn’t he apologise to his wife and try to mend his marriage?
His divorce is not yet finalised. Why was he in a hurry to hold hands? Is that not immoral? Can’t he stay “lonely” for a year or so? Is his God not sufficient for his loneliness?
He wrote as if he had nothing to do with Vatican’s invitation to Paula White. He said she was independently invited and independently travelled. Now he admits that he had a role to play.
He wrote that the divorce news was a great shock to him. Now he admits things were not right between him and wife for quite some time.
It is all very sad and too much to bear. Benny Hinn is an idol to many in India. Hope people wake up soon.
Better say GoodBye to Benny Hinn.
Lee Grady makes some very good points. Especially this – “When they begged for $2 million more in donations because of a budget shortfall, we didn’t feel comfortable asking why they needed that $10,000-a-night hotel suite. ”

One cannot serve God and Mammon at the same time.
I watched the three part telecast on YouTube and listened intently to every word Benny Hinn said. Based on the videos, while Hinn denounced the National Enquirer article as a “pure lie,” he said nothing about the two photos of what appears to be he and Paula White holding hands.
Further, it is important to note that during the telecast, Benny Hinn clearly said that he let Paula White “come with me to Rome.” However, in her website statement, White stated that she and Hinn “traveled independently to the region for respective ministry duties…”
In his statement, Benny Hinn stated that he and Paula White “traveled independently to the region for respective ministry duties.”

How much is he going to change his stories. First this friend of the Vatican says ministry opportunities now he is their art salesman? If it doesnt sound right, it isnt. I dont buy anything Benny sells.

I don’t quite get it. This quote from BH says, “I let her come with me to Rome so she can donate money.” I thought, from reading their previous statements in response to the Enquire article, that they were at the Vatican on separate ministry duties. ????
Did he not say in his first statement that they were in Rome for different reasons? Now he is admitting that he invited her?
My biggest problem with this is that he has his priorities WAY out of wack! Yes, God comes first…. but family comes second and everything else comes last… even the ministry. Relationship with God and your personal ministry are two completely separate things…. he obviously does not understand that. He put his ministry above his family and that is wrong…
As soon as priorities get out of wack…. everything else false apart.
This is the first time that I can remember the credibility of the National Enquirer looking okay – only relatively speaking though compared to what’s against them in this case.
Wait, I’m confused.
This article quotes Hinn as saying ““I let her come with me to Rome so she can donate money….”
OK, I’ll admit, I don’t have the whole context of this quote, so I’m really just questioning here….
The reason I’m confused is because in Hinn’s earlier statement (reportedly from his website) he said “The truth is that we traveled independently to the region for respective ministry duties. I was invited by Vatican officials to visit the Vatican to discuss future ministry opportunities there. Paula was likewise invited to have meetings in the region….”
So, did Paula “come with me to Rome” or did she travel “independently to the region” for “ministry duties”. Frankly, I’d have no problem with either scenario; I just don’t understand all the obfuscation.
Patron of the Arts? How many Patron of the Arts does the Vatican have and who are they?
How is being a Vatican Art Patron ministry?
Mrs. White:
“We traveled independently to the region for respective ministry duties and, while there, spent time together along with others.”
Mr. Hinn:
“The truth is that we traveled independently to the region for respective ministry duties. I was invited by Vatican officials to visit the Vatican to discuss future ministry opportunities there. ”
Oh.
Thank you Rick, most appreciated.
Just did a quick Google check. Blogs in Italian picking up the Patron of the Arts statement, blogs in Spanish talking about the 2 million Hinn is begging for.
This explains the Patron of the Arts – from the Italian blog sanadottrina:
“The Patrons are invited to donate $ 500 per person per year membership, $ 1,000 for family membership or $ 250 for junior members (35 years and under). These membership fees are used for restoration, conservation projects, equipment for laboratories restoration, capital improvements and acquisition of art.
The Patrons come from all over the world, and there are several chapters of Patrons in North America and Europe. Chapters meet regularly, sponsor dinners and social events to plan and raise funds for renovations and do travel to the Vatican Museums to see the results of their efforts.”
Vatican site – English here – information from: http://www.vatican-patrons.org/
Clarence McClendon: Divorced after 16 years of marriage saying:” “I have a calling to preach, not to be married.” 7 days after his divorce was final he remarried.
His wife didn’t want the divorce, she says she filed so his ministry wouldn’t be hurt.
LOL! xD The famous healing Evangelist is an art seller for the Vatican. Well done pope Benedict Arnold. Hey Pappa what are you gonna get Benny to sell next? penance? maybe membership in the Knights of Malta? Oh! yes, thats right, forgot all about them, not! Yoo, fugetaboutit.
“For your honor and glory, do it today Lord”, said Benny Hinn. That stands out to me. I hope and pray that occurs. Often I think worldly success promotes one’s own interest, and the needs of others are not remembered. God should always be first. How easy it is for someone to take credit for something God deserved. Those on high platforms have the job to point the way to Jesus, and really give him the “glory”.
Yes, we are all human. We can come up with excuses, and they may sound sensible. However, dangerous rationalizations are at play sometimes too. I think God’s wisdom is very much needed . The Lord’s wisdom will light the way.
Wait, wait, wait…
Again, I’m just going off this article…and the link…so I’m wondering…
If I donate $500 can I also be “appointed” a patron, one of those “select”?
And when I’m “provided a complimentary tour of the Vatican Museums with a private guide” can I claim “I was invited by Vatican officials to visit the Vatican to discuss future ministry opportunities there.”?
Now, we don’t know how much Hinn donated to be “appointed” a patron, but seems you can be one of the select for $500.
So, is the Vatican Museums is kicking themselves…if they’d worked this right, Benny would’ve donated $10,000 and stayed in a $500 suite.
“Although the Vatican Museums host over 15,000 visitors each day, the sale of tickets only provides for the daily operation of the museums. The museums are not subsidized by the Holy See and must be self-sufficient which means that the work of restoration and conservation must be supported by Patrons..”
500 bucks and you can claim the Vatican (museums) invited you for a ‘future ministry opportunity…’
“When Patrons visit the Vatican, they are received in the Office of the Patrons of the Arts in the Apostolic Palace. They are provided a complimentary tour of the Vatican Museums with a private guide and are encouraged to visit the restoration laboratories and sections of the museums not open to the public. Patrons are invited to Vatican ceremonies when important restorations are unveiled and share in the legacy and heritage of the art of the Vatican Museums.”
Here are the patron projects fro 2010 and the costs in Euros.

Using the analogy of holding hands Benny Hinn is promoting the idea that his only involvement with the Catholic church is to help promote/support art works. Nicely done. However it’s probably a full blown adulterous affair
http://www.deceptioninthechurch.com/hinncatholic.html
Didn’t Todd Bentley blame his ministry on the breakdown of his relationship.
Oh well, when Patricia King runs the media we won’t have to worry about all of this!
If you visit Benny Hinn’s website and click on his tv schedule for this week, you will note that the above You Tube episode (from CBN) will be aired on his tv show entitled This Is Your Day, this coming Friday the 13 th !!! (I’d rather watch it there than in a series of 10 minute clips that often start and stop from buffering.) I couldn’t help but think how ‘coincidental’ if should air on a Friday the 13th of all days.
If you care to watch or tape it on your DVD or VCR, he comes on at 5:am on Global and same repeat at 10:30 pm on CTS weekdays—at least in my area.
(As stated previous, I ONLY watch his broadcast IF Dr. Eric Braverman or some other highly respected doctor will be on and purely for the medical content. I skip ALL preaching from Benny and his greedy charlatan guest hosts).
I did watch the 3 clips however on Bene Diction’s blog and here are my observations:
He stated that no matter how strong the anointing was in a person’s life, he was lonely and couldn’t bear to come home to an empty house. He needs to QUALIFY that statement and say ”10 million dollar mansion overlooking the Pacific ocean” instead of ‘house’ (which he makes it sound like a cabin in the woods)!
I have lived alone for many years and LOVE IT and I’m not even in a mansion !!!! (In many ways, you have a closer walk with God when you live alone.) I wouldn’t have it any other way with the exception of lots of cats.
If he’s lonely, he needs to get himself a cat or dog or gold fish….instead of a twice divorced female ‘preacher’ who wastes God’s money on multiple plastic surgeries, mansions, expensive clothes and trips to the Vatican (as if she was Catholic or something) and makes poor decisions about holding hands in public when tabloid reporters might be hiding in the bushes to plaster one’s pictures on the front pages of supermarket rags to help destroy their reputations as a chaste man or woman of God.
The Bible says to ”Avoid even the very appearance of evil.” and ”It is better for a man not to touch a woman”….and something about ”fleeing youthful lust” (although Benny isn’t so youthful anymore at almost 60 years old, so perhaps that Scripture doesn’t apply to him. LOL).
When watching those 3 clips, pay special attention to his custom made, designer Mandarin suits (can’t he wear NORMAL looking suits like everyone else ???), the logo on his blazer (which a certain news programe said was weaved with pure gold thread worth something like $100, 000) and the expensive furniture on his This Is Your Day set.
Justin Peters has put out a DVD entitled ‘A Call For Discernment’ which is an 8 part seminar series exposing greedy, charlatan, health and wealth tv preachers. He shows countless clips of Word of Faith preachers (such as Benny Hinn, Kenneth and Gloria Copeland, TBN, Creflo Dollar, Fred Price, Oral Roberts, ad nauseum) and gives his commentary thereafter. It’s only $20. and can be ordered from his wesbite at Justin Peters. org
You can also watch four, 20 minutes clips of ”A Call For Discernment”online for FREE, to get a sampling of it. I’ve already watched it about 10 times and plan to order the DVD, as these people need to be exposed. (Justin Peters, unlike Benny Hinn, has 2 Masters degrees and doesn’t even receive a salary from his church in Mississippi.)
Incidentally…. speaking of Todd Bentley….I saw a You Tube clip of him kicking a man in the gut with STAGE 4 COLON CANCER !!! Todd would say ‘BAM ! BAM ! BAM! as he did this, knocking people to the ground in a so-called ‘healing line.’
The thing that astounded me more than anything was the massive line of people willing to be kicked ‘in the name of the Lord’ ! I guess the moral of the story is to wear a shield of armour (both literally and spiritually) when visiting one of Todd Bentely’s healing crusades. (You would think his wall to wall tattoos and piercings would be enough of a warning sign.)
I remember back in the PTL Club Days that Richard Dorcsh had taken over hosting the show and the theme was “forgiven” they had that spelled out in flower arrangements on the property and it was a buzz word through out a show I watched -it came across subliminal messages about their ministry.
This video leaves me with the same feeling from that the singers in the background to the ministers in the background to the crowd clasping their hands in a pious attitude-that there was a lot of post production in this show to leave an impression on the viewers-the organ playing in the background is always used, but it sure leaves a subliminal impression with Clarence saying there was God’s presense.
I think I’d rather decide if there was God’s presense there or not
I just found this blog of comments and the one thing I noticed, in the last video when he was talking to Henry and the two other preachers he has his ring back on, it does not look lika a regular wedding ring. However, I went way back to 2002 and back to the early 1990 and he has always worn that same ring on is wedding ring finger. I find it very strange that whem Paula was on his show, he had the same ring on and at Rod Parsley church July 4, 2010 had it off. Now after much heat, he has it back on. God bless
Dear Dad in Christ,

Sounds like the Vatican is denying this particular “Patron of the Arts” claim.

God is God, and we are only human beings, including Benny Hinn and Paula White. If they commit sin or not, it is not our business to judge them. The issue is, how is our personal relationship with God? If our leaders fail, it doesn’t mean to say the work of God in our personal life should stop. We must be very careful with judging. Everyday we are being constantly attacked by God’s enemies, either the devil himself or the people that the devil is using. If really know Jesus Christ personally, it is our duty to protect the body of Christ through prayers and understanding. Especially for these leaders that God is using tremendously on a battle front. They are prone for a very strong attack of the enemy because they are drawing a lot of people to Christ. Anyway, God see us through the issues of our hearts and not what the rumors outside that influence our way of thinking. Onward Christian Soldiers, we are on a battle!
“If our leaders fail” – say what? Toufik is certainly no leader of the TRUE church. He is a weirdo with a key to Kuhlmans Krypt! Who he goes to seek advice from. His gay suits with real gold (100k) in them etc. His spirit is NOT the Holy Spirit.
“Especially for these leaders that God is using tremendously on a battle front. They are drawing a lot of people to Christ.” LOL LOL LOL …. as if.
