Todd Bentley may now travel and minister as he wishes

Todd Bentley can minister wherever he choses, says Rick Joyner.

You knew that it was a given that he’d be back on the road, after Todd Bentley announced plans for worldwide missions trips—outside North America, where he would be likely to be asked about his ministry, divorce and various bad things that happened at Lakeland. Bentley, with a new house and his own ministry base, could proceed on his own without Joyner’s approval.

This may be a fait accompli for Joyner. Bentley knows that he can’t wait 5 or 10 years to be “restored”, as the next big revival or two will happen and he will be yesterday’s news. If he wants to be a worldwide evangelist again, he has to go pretty soon, whether Joyner thinks so or not.

We can guess that Joyner is really reluctant to continue with this process and just wants to let Bentley go. Before Monday’s video, the last restoration video that he did was Dec. 14, 2009. Given that the last video was called “We are all in Process”, we can hopefully get some updates on how Bentley’s “process” is coming along.

The latest video was posted Monday August 16.

Bentleys’ restoration was intended to be a three step process. The local ministry, Joyner said, had “spectacular” results. “We were able to verify” that cancer victims were healed, but Joyner offers no further details, at least none that would allow this claim to be independently verified.

At 3:17 of the video, Joyner says:

“…We feel that we’re coming to a time, where it’s time to release him [Bentley] on another level and the next level is where Todd is going to be going outside [the immediate area around the Morningstar headquarters] with those from our ministry team [who] will be accompanying him. And it’s not to watch over him, every little thing he’s doing, he’s a man, not a child, but it’s just to be a watchman and to help, you know, and also to be available to help answer questions to people who may have questions and things like that. But we feel that it is time now to release Todd to other ministries that we want to know him well, we know them well, and there’s real relationship there.”

“During this phase, we’re seeking elders in the church. We’re meeting with, uh, major Christian leaders of international stature, who will, as the final phase, will in council together, determine [that] it’s time now to release Todd into ministry. Now, that’s something where we’re gonna have to trust them, and endure all the intensive questioning and everything else but that’s what we want. We don’t wanna leave a stone unturned, or miss something that cvould later be a trap Todd’s life or anyone else life.”
“Even through the most perfect restoration process, which by the way, every one of us in, you know, and been in, until we have been perfected….We believe these elders of the church are going to bring wisdom and accountability, and challenges, where needed….”

Let’s pause to parse for a moment.

“… And it’s not to watch over him, every little thing he’s doing, he’s a man, not a child…”

I had thought that was due to the fact that he had supposedly no peers to hang out with him at Lakeland that led to his drinking and falling into “adultery” [as his old ministry defined it]. Wouldn’t babysitting him for the time being be something to consider?

“….and also to be available to help answer questions to people who may have questions and things like that…”
Todd Bentley, after many webinars where he fielded questions, is not capable of answering what people might want to know?
I predict that they will be the ones answering questions, not just “helping” Todd with it.

I also bet that they will be on the lookout to stop public rebukes like the one that the Operation Save America folks staged a few months ago.

The “gatekeepers” that will accompany Bentley will also, effectively, stop most local secular press coverage of Bentley as he travels. If they can’t get an interview, or even quotes from Bentley, and are instead are directed to a Joe Bloggs of Morningstar, it’s going to make it harder for an editor wanting to see if Bentley has made amends to do their work. If the editor, say, has a shocking new revelation or local angle on the Bentley story, they might be reduced to “Bentley refused to talk to us”, which leads Christians who don’t give reporters a break to ignore the story.

“But we feel that it is time now to release Todd to other ministries that we want to know him well, we know them well, and there’s real relationship there.”

This is where Joyner gets something back for Morningstar’s grief in doing this. Want access to Bentley? It’s “friends of Morningstar first” And, you will need to become friends with us, even if you approve of Bentley, but not Joyner, to see him work at your church.
Perhaps a variant of the old Hollywood “block booking” system might be used where in order to get the star (Bentley), you will need to give space and time to other Morningstar speakers too.

The worldwide elders part is interesting too…

I remember hearing, many months ago, that noted teacher Jack Deere was supposed to be the “bad cop” of those overseeing the Bentley restoration process. He was going to ask the tough questions and such. Isn’t it interesting that we have never heard from him at all in any of the statements or videos from Morningstar that I have seen?

Did Deere decide to wash his hands of all this? Does he think that there are still things that may disqualify Bentley from ministry? Joyner just introduced Deere as the 800 pound gorilla of this whole process and then…nothing. Hmmm…

The worldwide council might be problematic.

If it winds up being made up of obscure “internationally recognized” people, it will be a bad sign. And if people are “internationally recognized” they may have valid reasons to not want to spend the time to do this.

And, sad to say, would they want to risk hitching their cart to Bentley in case he fails again.

It’s hard to come into someone’s life, if you don’t really know them that well, and confront them.

As I know from my own interview with Bentley—wow, was it nine years ago now—he has been adept at not being entirely truthful. “I misled you,” he said, when I confronted him.

Todd Bentley, if he is unrepentant, could lead his questioners on a merry dance, and bluff his way through, getting that coveted
seal of approval from them.

Joyner continues, starting to talk about how co-operative Todd Bentley has been.
Here’s what I think may be a smoking gun. Do pay attention to it.

At 6:48, Joyner says:

“I was warned by just about everybody about Todd’s manipulation and scheming and everything else that he’s gonna do…Honestly, uh, we all have some of that in us, and you see it throughout the Scriptures, the best in the Scriptures have some of that. Unfortunately, and we’re trying to get rid of it, and it’s not right…. I think it was Todd’s absolute profound honesty and straighforwardness that many people took as manipulation. Crazy as it sounds, when he determined ‘I am getting a divorce’, he wasn’t trying to hide anything. He was being clear, he wasn’t trying to manipulate, and scheme…In his opinion, it was the last straw, it wasn’t going to work… Most people would try to paint the best picture. Todd didn’t do that.”

If Todd continues to have a possible problem with “manipulation and scheming”, as Joyner may be alluding to by saying that everyone has a problem here, isn’t caution wise? “And we’re trying to get rid of it” could either apply to everyone, or is a slip to mean that “we’re trying to get rid of it” in Todd specifically. The former is probably the case though.

Joyner is being disingenuous here. First, it is impossible to hide a divorce and remarriage, so Bentley’s being honest with that is no special virtue. Critics took offense, as they believed that divorce and remarriage is not allowed by the Bible. Any manipulation on Todd’s part would come in the “there’s no hope part…that’s all I could have done”. And given that Shonnah Bentley is now silent, Bentley can be freely manipulative, as there is no “other side” to look at. [She even took the stage at Ignited Church to support her husband, so my verdict is there was lots of hope. A woman who was willing to take him back after the “emotional affair” that caused his first “dark night of the soul” in 2005-2006 is truly longsuffering.]

[By the way, Joyner et. al are still working on that statement that allows divorce and remarriage> Todd’s own version, which sat on Joyner’s desk over a year ago for approval, is still being help. Captain Renaud is appropriately shocked.]

“The best of” people in the Scriptures were guilty of “manipulation and scheming”. Really? Can we have some Biblical citations where the Apostles, say, were guilty of it?

Joyner goes on to say that Bentley is more forthright and forthcoming than his accusers are. May we see him be brutally frank with himself, in depth, to his detriment, where it could hurt his ministry, in public, then? We shall see.

Joyner, at 10:27 adds:

“He [Bentley] may fall six, seven more times. If he does, I don’t care how bad it is ….If he falls, I hope to help him back up again.”

And then later, Joyner pulls out his violin. No “manipulation” of emotions here:

“If it [a major moral fall] happened to your children, and this is how God looks at it. Think about how you would feel if one of your children fell, just really made a mess of their life. Think of how grateful you would be to anyone who really got in and helped them to straighten out, and to get their feet back…”

Restoration is a very laudable thing…but when do you reach the point where you say about Bentley that what has happened in the past means that he shouldn’t be ministering anymore and should get a day job?

Rick Joyner may have good intentions…but does he have good discernment and Biblical wisdom to add to his intent?

Its good to look at ourselves when others pass judgement but it can be easy to fall into the trap of depending on what others think… this can lead to fear of man. Also, if the Holy Spirit doesn’t convict us then we cannot fix it anyway. We are called to be famous for love, not judgement.

  2. Susan says:

    Rob,
Todd put himself under Rick Joyner because he refused to be counseled by the Board of Fresh Fire. Fresh Fire released a statement that Todd Bentley was in an “unhealthy relationship.” Fresh Fire was willing to counsel him. Todd did not want their help. Todd never wanted to be restored back to Shonnah and the children. He did not even start this false restoration till he got remarried to the other woman, Jessa. Then, Joyner was the one who said their marriage was “wrong and premature.” Rick Joyner could not say one word about adultery. In the meantime, Rick Joyner feed the public these videos of a so called restoration process. Give me a break!!! This is the same Todd Bentley who claims to visit heaven? This is the same Todd Bentley that Jesus appeared to at Lakeland? This guy is not restored. Never was or will be until he stops the lie. If someone really cares for him and all involved, they would stop the lie.

  3. Hopesome says:

    Indeed Rob

  4. laws632 says:

LOL – Satan quoted scripture to the AUTHOR of the scriptures – not too bright huh. But, he did and still does, think he is sooo smart. Wiley, devious etc – but not “smart”.
This is why James and Peter command us to “resist the devil and he will flee”.

Rob: you can quote verses too but it is so painfully obvious where you are coming from. Need repent and get over yourself. Your opinions on scriptural exegesis are ridiculously isigetical; your continual (disguised lol) adulation of Frodd make one wonder …… [Naxus good call]

  5. laws632 says:

To all: that cell video of Frodd on Youtube drooling over kids and leering at a Chucky Cheese AT Lakeland – shot by a concerned mom as Todd was there ALONE but stuck out like the freak he is scared her. She had seen him on the news and named him. Pervert. God only knows what Todd has done in secret. In open? Adultery, body mutilation/exaltation. Drunkeness. Horror/slasher (snuff?) movies. HUGE tax-free “offerings”. That one video spake a thousand words – even more than his bam wham etc counterfeit revival stuff [tho God can and did do some work in spite of charlatans].
Naxus: the gross darkness covers the earth and minds of humans as Isa 60:2: For gross darkness covers the earth, and gross darkness the peoples; but Jehovah shall rise on you, and His glory shall be seen on you.”

And one of my favorites, Isa 28:5 In that day Jehovah of Hosts shall be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, to the rest of His people,
Isa 28:6 and for a spirit of judgment to him who sits in judgment, and for strength to those who turn back the battle to the gate.’ I received a song based on that verse which so reveals the heart of Jesus. Part of it (prophetic) goes ‘I will be a crown, to the rest of you, to those who seek My face, to those who call on Me’ … will be going to the studio soon : )

  6. Naxus says:

Generational Satanists[Nephilim bloodline] have special abilities and can see the brightness that shines through a Christian’s spirit. Luke 11:36…..the whole shall be full of light, AS when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light. Sometimes it hurts their eyes if they look long enough on a Christian serving the Lord. I have seen their reactions at times. In the spirit realm[the astral realm-the other dimension] the light of the Christian can be seen. Jesus was not just speaking metaphorically when He spoke on the light of His redeemed.

  7. Naxus says:

Dont be surprised if a lot of our Christian power houses are Nephilim. Matt 13 from whence then hath it tares? 28He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. 38 but the tares are the children of the wicked one; 39The enemy that sowed them is the devil—Spawn of the Devil; ‘The Workers of Iniquity’ the special class of ‘The Wicked’. I had a intimate relationship with a Nephilim Witch. No I did not know it at the time and she never disclosed this secret. But I was captive to her witchcraft and probably by her coven of witches. I share this to show that I have some insight to the subject of ‘The Wicked’. I was freed from her by a stranger who was used of the Lord to show me what I was going through and what to do about it. It was hell! and agony. We are in the last stages of ‘the end of the world’ . I hope this is my last post. I just need to back away a bit but the trolls have induced my responses. You this knowledge wisely and carefully.

  8. Naxus says:

    Use this knowledge carefully and wisely and prayerfully! It is the Angels of the Lord who are assigned to clean house not ours but we are to be informed of what is happening currently . The Lord is not hiding this information it is the powers of darkness that hide this knowledge. And they are a huge maze of disinformation, they hire some of there own to post on forums-shills! My deduction and observation. Some of you know me from Revival-school forums. There were lots of shills there;
    shill

    1.
a person who poses as a customer in order to decoy others into participating, as at a gambling house, auction, confidence game, etc.
    2.
a person who publicizes or praises something or someone for reasons of self-interest, personal profit, or friendship or loyalty.

  9. Therese says:

Naxus, have you considered the possibility that the reason the account of the Nephilim was written in the bible is so that it can stand as a kind of prophetic lesson for us today as to what the Spirit of Christ in us is able to and needs to overcome? The flood took care of the Nephilim and their progeny as far as I understand it, only Noah and his family survived. I take the story of the wheat and tares to be a parable of spiritual reality, not physical..symbolizing the counterfeit church that we are to come out of and the real church..

  10. Susan says:

    Naxus,
I especially appreciate the verse Luke 11:36. It speaks volumes to me. I’ve learned that sometimes with the lamp of Jesus Christ, my understanding of what’s around me, though the truth, can hurt. But the truth is so clear and refreshing.

    Laws632,
I found the Chucky Cheese video. I can’t find words for what I felt. I did wonder if he was alone or with someone. I better leave it there.

  11. Naxus says:

Naxus the flycatcher wanting a vacation. I told u already Theresa that I don’t want to angage u in any sort of conversation. I don’t respect your un-Christ like methods of argument.

  12. Therese says:

Wow, I’m rather surprised at your response Naxus, sorry if I’ve offended you in some way – my question is a sincere one. And I am wondering if you know of any scripture that talks about the Nephilim surviving the flood?

  13. Therese says:

Are you confusing me with the “Theresa” that was here a little while ago? My name is spelled “Therese” and we are two different people?..

  14. Naxus says:

Whatever we went through this before and I did answer your questions with scriptures in the past. Should I dare say it?

  15. Naxus says:

No! Its you! that posted the leading questions. No I am not confused nor are you! You are crafty. I hope others are learning to pick out schills just from our conversation. Bye bye.

  16. Naxus says:

To everyone reading I did answer her questions with scriptures in the past on the Nephilim re-appearring after the flood.

  17. Naxus says:

Perhaps she suffers memory loss. No she doesn’t she is just like Rob.

  18. Therese says:

Hmm, this is odd, I don’t remember discussing this with you or anyone before, Naxus. I do have a less than reliable memory, so it’s possible I’ve forgotten if it was a long time ago, but certainly I would remember if we spoke together recently. The last time I made a comment to you was on another thread – I was disagreeing with you about returning curses to the sender, because Jesus said to bless those who curse us and not to return evil for evil, and to love our enemies. Don’t know if you read that comment or not, I think you said you were taking a break around that time as well..

  19. Therese says:

You see, I was reading this morning in the book of Jude which says that “the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their own home – these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day.”… so I’m just trying to get at the truth, Naxus in what I thought would be a friendly conversation, nothing personal..if one of us is wrong about anything, it’s an opportunity to learn and grow that’s all..

  20. Rob says:

How is it that people can call themselves Christians and say they love God, but if you disagree with them they make it personal and resort to unkind words. There is a person behind a name you know.

  21. laws632 says:

I have had the glory of God on me, people have seen it tho I was perturbed at being stared at. I write worship music. I have seen the face of Jesus on godly people at times too.

Gen 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. ”
nephilim: ‘fallers’ as in loggers are fallers, able to conquer. I actually saw a giant once, it looked like a Viking, and was about 25 feet tall. Of course it was a demon, but I was a bit scared! Thank God for His authority.
The demon possessed man in the NT said his name was Legion = 12,500. The souls of the hybrid angel-humans are demons.
Please recall Jesus warns us that we will live in Sodom and pre-flood times …. lots of nephilim around, both visible and invisible. No compassion, greedy, murderous. Influential. FYI. See Matthew 24.

Praying Laws I hope other believers will join in agreement. Heavenly Father we ask that you would meet this brothers need and fill him with the full comfort of the Holy Spirit we petition you through Jesus Christ our Lord.

  23. Jackie V says:

What do the nephilim have to do with Todd Bentley? Is someone implying he’s one of them. This threadline was supposed to be about Bentely and it’s morphed into a debate about nephilim.

Incidentally, I watched part of the above video with Bentley and Joyner but had to turn it off after a few minutes. The piercings and tattoos alone were enough to turn me away, because they violate Scriptural commandments NOT to mark or pierce the flesh, let alone his past sins.

Incidentally, you can learn more about these nephilim creatures (you never know if new converts are reading this for the first time) if you visit Dr. Scott Johnson’s website at —contending for the truth .com—and scroll down to #339 ‘The Return of the Nephilim’ and hear his audio teaching.

He also speaks extensively about Todd Bentley, including the child molestation charges from when Bentley was 13 (against a 7 year old boy), as well as Rick Joyner, Joel Osteen, John Hagee and countless others.

You can also watch an interview that Sid Roth did with Todd Bentley via Google Video or You Tube. I viewed it in it’s entirety and was not impressed. Neither do I believe his purported claims of healings. Why? ‘Ye shall know them by their fruits.’

Another excellent website I’ve recently discovered is called ”The Underground Christian Network.” There are countless audio sermons/teachings/exposes on there by various people as well as videos. A literal goldmine of information, as is Dr. Scott Johnson’s.

  24. Therese says:

I understand the glory, the light, and believe also that demons are the souls of those hybrids – but are more being reproduced?… that’s what I don’t understand..if those angels have been kept in chains since the flood? Isn’t it kind of a past living parable which speaks today of those who don’t know the Lord, whose father is the devil, spiritually speaking (not physically)? If I think of a believer who has not yet been perfected, we have two natures living in us, we are ‘hybrids’ until such time as the spirit of Christ in us overcomes our ‘old man’ whose father is the devil. But the devil was defeated at the cross, and I wonder if we’re giving too much credit to these Nephilim who are now in chains. Much of the OT writings happened in the physical realm but were written down as the types and shadows of spiritual realities for the church. If we think of this as being like the days of Noah, spiritually speaking, what were the Nephilim in Noah’s time speak now of the fallen away (Nephilim means “fallen ones”) church whose carnal nature is not overcome and who actually still serve the devil in the name of Christ, they are ‘hybrids’ (spiritually) and eventually become completely apostate. Maybe I’m out in left field, but I believe I caught a glimpse of this this morning..

  25. Therese says:

..just remembered your financial need, Laws – will pray for you..

  26. Therese says:

Thanks Jackie V, I’ll have a look at that website..

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. ”
“I NEVER knew you.” But, but the FRUIT!
    ———–
Read again Gen 6:4 “and AFTER the flood”. We are still after. I am not sure if angels are mating – but I DO know devils are still active.
Recall the demons begged Jesus not to send them to hell. Mt. 8:29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with You, Jesus, Son of God? are You come to torment us before the time?” Their sentencing has not yet been done.
The part-human souls of the hybrids seem to be millions/billions.

And a “giant-sized” thank-you and God bless you to all who are praying for me. I am working on a self-funded worship cd and was suddenly let go by my firm. Hmm. Wonder why. So my last cheque was a while ago! I do have a degree etc but as of right now – not employed. Do not like this!

  28. Naxus says:

Jackie V I do sense your spirit and I do respect Bene D to much to harangue with you. If you know of any Christian forum that will allow me to except your challenge please direct me there and i will oblige you, even though i seek a vacation. And how can any Christian not perceive that Todd is very demon possessed on the Sid Roth interview? How does this escape Mr. Roth? On this blog Jackie V. i will not interact with you, respectfully Naxus! Todd is so full of demons that the Lord told me directly not to watch his clips. One thing to declare Lord !Lord! another to actually know the Lord and the depths of His love.

  29. Naxus says:

For you Laws, Nephilim produce Nephilim. Even today. Nephilim come in both sexes male and female. The gods and the goddesses of this world. This can help one understand how witches inherit their magickal powers. This could help to understand why the blue bloods like to keep it in the family.

  30. Jackie V says:

    Re: Comment made by Naxus

I was simply saying that I had viewed an interview Sid Roth did with him and was NOT impressed with Bentley’s claims of miracles. I wasn’t even familiar with who Bentley was until I started hearing his name cropping up on blogs. Only then did I You Tube and Google video him and that told me everything I needed to know.

His very appearance speaks for itself for the previous reasons listed on this and other threadlines. The Hells Angels biker look is NOT conducive to orthodox Christianity. Neither is adultery.

I couldn’t care less whether you think Bentley is a nephilim or not. That’s irrelevent and only an opinion. For many other reasons, this man should not be in ministry.

I can’t believe the way some bloggers take a little grain of something you said and blow it out of proportion to the point of refusing to interact with that person again like a pouting child. Would Jesus do that? I think not and what type of ungodly example does that set for non-Christians who may be reading this threadline? Holding grudges is not an option for true Christians. When you truly get saved, you die to self (ie. ego) and learn to forgive 70 x 7.

If you felt convicted not to even watch Bentley because he’s ‘so full of devil’s that is your perrogative. As for me, I was just curious to see what he even looked like. I don’t watch TBN, God TV, Sky Angel, etc, so I needed to Google video and You Tube him before commenting on blogs, to see what he was all about.

  31. Naxus says:

For the record no one stated that TB is Nephilim. This is also a tactic of a shill ‘The Red Herring’. People who use these ungodly methods are evil and paid to do these things. ‘Workers of Iniquity’ workers get paid for their work.

  32. Naxus says:

From my experience I learned that shills make many statements in the form of a question. That is called a ‘straw man’, that is a wicked tactic and Lucifer invented it so it is no surprise that his children are proficient in this. The Dragon of old caused mankind to fall using this horrible and vicious tactic.

  33. Naxus says:

IMO ‘The Workers of Iniquity ‘are a sub group of The Wicked’ that operate in Christianity. They con Christians all the time and they even will try to con Christ in their day of judgment! Please pay attention to the same tactic they will use on the Lord Himself, pay attention to the question marks in Matt 7: 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? Now watch how the Lord will handle them at their judgment 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Got that? He did not participate in their charade instead the Lord will state plainly who they are!

  34. Rob says:

    @Naxus

Matthew 7 is in the context of false prophets.

  35. laws632 says:

Here is the CORRECT context: those who follow the Word vs not.

Mat 7:13 Go in through the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many there are who go in through it.
Mat 7:14 Because narrow is the gate and constricted is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Insert >Counterfeit Christian portion, who have power and miracles, Paul called them reprobates.<

Mat 7:26 And everyone who hears these sayings of Mine and does not do them shall be compared to a foolish man who built his house on the sand.
    ——-

He is dead serious on those who play fast and loose with His Word. Eternal torment. Mark 9/Luke 16

  36. Rob says:

Concerning “depart for me I NEVER KNEW YOU.” why did He not say, “Depart from me for YOU NEVER KNEW ME?” Is it possible to know Him but Him not know us?

  37. laws632 says:

Knowing Him means to love and honour Him – not to privately interpret Scripture as is the fashion in the Tare Church aka Niko-Laitanes which is the clergy being stars and the “layity” being slaves.
Luke 11:28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. ”
ONLY the ones following Him will He reveal the Father to.

Luke 10:22 All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.”
He is quite particular on these things.
Just like when I got saved, He let me smoke cigs – for a while. About 1 year – then He got serious about me quitting. He even sent an angel which terrified me and at the same time was so awesome.

  38. Rob says:

    @laws

no my question was not about us knowing Him but about Him knowing us. How does He know us? I can love and honor someone in my life without them really knowing me.

  39. Naxus says:

Context; Matt 7:21″Not ‘EVERYONE’ who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ ………..24Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

25And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

26And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

27And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

28And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:

29For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

    still doesn’t answer my question

  41. Naxus says:

EVERYONE of the ‘workers of Iniquity’. Plants! Seed of Satan, Tares! Tares can say Lord! Lord! in reference to Christ Jesus. They never knew Him personally. Even the Angels of Heaven were concerned with these Christians in disguise who are in the Kingdom to destroy and make it ineffective. When the Tares overwhelm the Kingdom then will it be Judgment time ! With supernatural effects that the World will see and experience. Judgment is just around the corner. He is not going to judge the Church He has judged it already. He is going to send His Army of Angels to take out the Tares.

  42. Naxus says:

EVERYONE of the ‘workers of Iniquity’.

  43. Naxus says:

Smoke screens and mirrors are annoying to my soul. Bye bye Rob.

  44. Rob says:

wow still cannot answer what I asked

  45. Rob says:

HOW DOES THE LORD GET TO KNOW US?

  46. Therese says:

Rob, I think this is referring to the bridal intimacy of Jesus “knowing” and cleansing His bride in the deepest parts. The self-righteous workers of iniquity, who think they are serving God are performing dead works as though salvation is something that can be earned. They are rejecting grace essentially, and working for a kingdom that comes with observation rather than the Kingdom of God that is within us. Grace is trusting in the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ enough to let Him into those places that we would rather not see ourselves – we are uglier than we think, but His love is greater than we think and it is His great pleasure to cleanse us of our filth.

  47. Therese says:

..actually ‘uglier’ is not the right word, He finds His Bride to be beautiful, but in need of cleansing of the filth of our idolaltries and harlotries, if we love and trust Him and believe in Him enough to allow Him to be our Bridegroom in this intimate way – and if we really know Him as He is and not according to how our carnal minds think, we will.

  48. Therese says:

Naxus, forgive my apparent cheekiness but another question for you:

Did Jesus sometimes communicate by asking questions?

Another reading of Jude and 2 Peter this morning only convinces me more that the reason the Nephilim were written about was to serve as an example to us – both these scriptures say so. These were angels who had a higher calling, a heavenly one, angels are supposed to minister to the people of God – but who abandoned that in favour of a carnal, earthly life and sin, they “used” those they were supposed to be serving in the name of the Lord – with the consequence of being chained in darkness, God dealt with them in the past – they are a perfect example to us today of carnal ministers who use the sheep for their own gain and pleasure and lead them astray in the process, and of the end that these false ministers can expect:

Jud 1:5 ¶ I will therefore put you IN REMEMBRANCE, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

Jud 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

Jud 1:7 EVEN AS Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, ARE SET FORTH FOR AN EXAMPLE, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

Jud 1:8 LIKEWISE ALSO these [filthy] dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

2 Peter says the exact same thing as well. I think this whole thing with the Nephilim only serves to engender witch hunts, suspicion and fear, and to confuse the real truth – even bringing in the subject of aliens (Dr. Scott Johnson’s website) – when really if anything the belief in aliens will cause the world in future to think that believers in their glorified bodies are aliens, an attempt to obscure the truth. This whole thing reminds me of the Salem withchunts and the days when the Americans were seeing and persecuting the ‘communists’ behind every bush.
