I’m waiting for the Faytene Kryskow mousepad

I would say that this is not Faytene Kryskow’s doing. But this oddity is worth a brief mention.

Bored with your old computer desktop? Well now, instead of s screensaver, you can have the Faytene Kryskow desktop on your computer!

It’s Faytene giving a short talk on video introducing herself, which according to the video creator–as noted by a Google Alert–you can use as a Faytene Kryskow desktop.

While I find Faytene to be very interesting, I wouldn’t want to have her talking on my compter all day. I’m hoping this wasn’t her idea.

And as odd as this is, what would be odder still would be if she posed for this, knowing what this video was to be used for. Say it ain’t so, Faytene. And that you said “I’d rather that Jesus be on your desktop.”

No, I’m not really waiting for a Faytene mousepad, if you were wondering

    :)

  2. Rick Hiebert says:

BTW Googling “Faytene Kryskow desktop” lists this as number 1…

  3. John Payzant says:

On her video she mentions, “I’m 3rd 4th generation Canadian”

Just a minuite, either one is 3rd or 4th but not both is not clear.

She mentions the Polish, Ukrainian background.

In and earlier Bene D was mentioned in one of her books she’s related to Louis Riel the Metis?

    Kryskow sounds Polish

This seems a little mixed up

How would a Faytene Kryskow desktop be for marketing?

She’s a double edged sword and an oxymoron with her, “God Bless You” talk and her other behaviours combined.

  4. Elaine says:

John, Rick, – please give me the name of the book and the page where, as you claim, Faytene has said that she is related to Louis Reil.

  5. Bene Diction says:

    Hi Elaine:

John has said in comments she isn’t. (see under August 9/10 post) and said I had mentioned in a post that she had (comments August 27/10).
The only person I am aware of who Faytene claims to be a descendant of Riel is David Lafon.

Stand on Guard 2004 Credo Press. Page 259:

Song #1 Confederation Song Written by Faytene Kryskow. Mixed by Allan Yuet Vocalists: Faytene Kryskow (Faytene is a relative of Calixa Lavalee, the author of the music to O Canada) and David Lafon (David is Louis Riel’s descendant)

  6. Elaine says:

So are you saying, the following comment by John is wrong? “In and earlier Bene D was mentioned in one of her books she’s related to Louis Riel the Metis?”
If so why does it keep getting repeated in a manner that seems to be trying to belittle her?

  7. Bene D says:

    Elaine:

I’m sure John has no trouble acknowledging an error any more than you or I would.
Thank you for pointing it out.
Would you be kind enough to show me where it ‘keep(s) getting repeated’?

Feel free to engage anyone who you feel seems to be trying to belittle Ms. Kryskow.

  8. Bene D says:

The video was posted by Okama Okama who seems to be a fan of Rob and Fran Parker (National House of Prayer) and Alain Caron among other neo-charismatics.
Went looking for the meaning of the name.
All I could find was Japanese.

    Okama (??, ???)
Literally “a pot, a kettle”, this word, always with the honorific prefix “O-”, refers to a gay man, especially one who is viewed as effeminate or a drag queen. Can be pejorative. The word originated in Edo period slang for the anus. In current use.

  9. Bene D says:

Okay, browsing the videos I found more information.
Okama is the logo on Gerard and Peta Roberts video.

They say ‘Welcome to our website’. Maybe that means welcome to our vimeo channel because okama.com is taken but not online, other common varients in whois are also snapped up until July 2011.
It’s unfortunate Mrs. Roberts hyphenates her name (Gay-Roberts) given the world wide meaning of okama.
People who speak english and Japanese will hear completely different meanings.

Mrs. Roberts says the word okama means listen and she took it from Revelation: “For you who have an ear to hear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches.”

Mrs. Roberts is referring to Revelation 2:7 (KJV) “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.”

The vimeo channel seems to be the Roberts channel and their only website, and perhaps the channel name means ‘listen listen’ to them. I did wonder if the channel was being promoted by someone hostile to neo-charismatics after seeing the vimeo log in name.

The Roberts are promoted by Eagle and Dove Ministries, which is run by a woman connected with Rick Joyner’s MorningStar Ministries. (Another NAR apostle)

The only bio I can find on the Roberts is at a Worship in Motion 2007 page.
http://tiny.cc/3c2hf. The Roberts promote and practise worship dancing.

Interestingly there is an belly dance group in Sri Lanka promoting women, life and fertility called dance with Okama. http://dancebyokama.com The instructor is from Africa and her name is Okama.

Okama is also a city in Nigeria.

Other videos on the channel are introductions by mostly Canadian neo-charismatic apostolic leaders and were uploaded in the last two days.

I thought Rick was joking about these videos being desktops, but that really is how they are being promoted.

    Rob & Fran Parker

I met rob more than once and he gave me the creeps. Very condescending and sulphuric. Does IHOP Ottawa. NAR super “apostle” bs.

Called me a “heretic” and “apostate” and would not shake my hand bc I disagreed with Rob Almighty ….

  11. Rick Hiebert says:

Faytene doesn’t usually talk about being related to Riel, and I may have been thinking of the above reference to the CD track from Stand on Guard.

If so, I apologize to her for the mistake.

  12. Karamba says:

I SO don’t care about Faytene’s ethnicity and desktop thing. Who really cares? I would NEVER have her on my desktop not because I hate her but because sorry I have better eye candy. I have the picture of a man blowing a kiss at me, a man that means a lot to God. LOL. Nothing sinful, cheer up :=) and yes the guy is fully dressed and at His work place. I don’t do tacky myspace style. Ok I better shut up.

I also don’t understand what the problem is with Fayetene? Why the need to be seen so much, I say this in a nice way? Maybe she needs attention??? Is she married? Maybe she needs a nice husband and man who will treat her right, I don’t know. She mentions in her her testimony that she’s been treated badly by men when she was in the world. She certainly comes across as extremely hurt and needing protection, like a strong manly positive influence. What was her relationship like with her father?

  13. Karamba says:

Also, if Faytene she has issues with her ethnicity, she could never go through I went through….my ethnicity is more obvious than here both outwardly and as life experiences, culturally and socially and psychologically. She should get over herself and her ethnicity and nationality issues just like GOD made me get over mines, we’re all children of GOD. I’m very proud of my nationality and ethnicity and do not deny and I feed this but it’s still at the SOUL level, christians are supposed to be SPIRIT level. This said, God heals the soul so will deal with soulish issues. It’s just that I feel uneasy ALWAYS OVER AND OVER AGAIN having to hear those people refer to themselves as this and that, american this, canadian this LIKE AN IDOL. It’s ALL THE TIME. I grew up in the most multicultural and multilingual environments possible from all sides in family, school, community and TRUST ME, although there are very real differences which make our experiences unique we’re all the same when it comes to JESUS: all washed in the blood !

  14. Karamba says:

wow the typos in my last comment…SO SORRY !!!! I’m tired

  15. John Payzant says:

    Elaine

I don’t belittle Faytene Kryskow and nothing is being repeated

The truth and fact is that quite a lot of persons make quite a few comments on Faytene.

The one who belittles is Faytene Kryksow

She’s also great at not making herself clear as well

Faytene Kryskow is not a very nice person

This I know quite well first hand

  16. John Payzant says:

    Elaine

Check out the other blog ‘Don’t question Faytene Kryskow’ mentions more of her dynamics in the way she treats a certain amount of persons.

By reading in how she does this does not sound nice

I think it is good to be nice and get along well with others

On the above blog a younger person was on her Facebook and the way Faytene responded to the younger person got the mother upset and she’s commented on the above blog.

    This is kind of sad

I’ve read a certain amount of these things about this is not nice
