Thanks a lot to Bene D, who passes along some information about Todd Bentley that might give pause to some of his followers.
Bentley will be beginning his crusade in Reno Nevada tomorrow (Oct. 7), yet it is already being called “Reno Outpouring”. Just like the Lakeland Outpuring, you are supposed to think.
But guess where Bentley is holding his crusade, according to the host church’s website? At a room in the Grand Sierra Resort & Casino in Reno.
If you can’t wait to give away money until Todd Bentley’s offering, you can leave it in the resort’s “80,000 square feet” casino. Don’t care to gamble on Todd’s ability to get a word from the Lord for you? There’s also a “Lucky’s Race and Sports Book”
The host church, River Rock Christian Fellowship often hosts events at the hotel/casino, but it does have a facility that it rents that might be totally adequate for Bentley’s visit.
I really doubt that there isn’t a non-gambling oriented facility that the church can’t find to rent. Even in Abbotsford B.C., which is smaller than Reno, Bentley was able to rent a facility seating several hundred people a mere football punt away from his old church. It wasn’t even the biggest facility in the area.
Bentley may want to “hunt where the ducks fly.” He might think that the media may appreciate the irony of a “revival” in a casino. But this is lacking in sense.
What about the Christians who just won’t go into a casino for moral reasons? Does Bentley not care to minister to them?
What about Christians who want a blessing but have a problem with gambling and have been counselled to stay away from casinos?
This raises something else to consider. We know that Bentley wants a TV reality show. We know that observers like Ray William Johnson already see him as hilarious, if not buffoonish, entertainment.
Is Bentley reaching for glitz in addition to substance as a regular thing now?
If so, Reno is an appopriate place to start over.

It may be a really inexpensive place for the church to book…but I think that the “stumbling block” reasons not to are very relevant too.
It seems that show business-like presentations
are eclipsing the “message”.
Cheap theatrics–just like a Potemkin village.
No, Toto, don’t pull at that curtain!
My wife and I are heading to Reno to celebrate our anniversary this weekend. I’ll let you know if I see a portal open up while I’m there. Thankfully, we’re staying at another hotel so we won’t be too exposed to the “Bentleyites’”…
Drinks and rooms are cheap.
According to the 2008 president of Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority, 15% of the then 5 million visitors came for the gambling, and 90% of the 15% gambled.
“Gaming no longer is the “first hook” the convention authority uses to promote the area to visitors, she said. Instead the agency emphasizes special events, the area’s scenic beauty, and 18 nearby world-class ski resorts.”
The Grand Sierra is having a canned beer festival during the ‘outpouring.’ The Grand Theatre has a music show billed as “a synthesis of intense, wobbling basslines and hypnotic soundscapes.”
I’ll bite my tongue – Bentley fits right in doesn’t he?
The minister of the sponsoring church supposedly went to Bethany Bible College.
Bentley aside, I think that a casino in Reno or Vegas is the best place to take the gospel. It is most needed. I think it is safe to say that if Jesus were American and living here today he might spend a lot of his time in “Sin City.”
Martinmack says: My wife and I are heading to Reno to celebrate our anniversary this weekend. I’ll let you know if I see a portal open up while I’m there.”
Oh there WILL be a “portal” opened up there.
The lord of the flies will be there infecting through his servant.
But rob thinks it’s “Christian” lol
@laws
notice how i said “Bentley aside.” I am talking about Christians in general and our call to minister to “sinners” just as Jesus did.
Reno must be pretty nervous about this actually…..if Bentley makes good on all his “Hundred Fold increase” jargon he could put the casinos out of business. After all, why gamble when giving your money to him is a sure thing?? And just to clarify, we are actually using Reno as our home base to explore some of God’s creation in the area like Lake Tahoe, Mono Lake, etc….I have no use whatsoever for casinos or gambling. I work too hard for my money to throw it away…which is why I don’t plant any “seeds” either.
Pingback: Tweets that mention Tonight! At our casino! Engelbert Humperdinck and…Todd Bentley?!? | Bene Diction Blogs On -- Topsy.com
I remember going to a Christian music concert at the local Chippewa Indian-owned casino a few years back; it was featuring four First Nations (in CA-speak) Christian bands followed by Salvador, a big Latino-American CCM group; I’m surprised I haven’t heard more of Native-American guitar prodigy Levi Platero since then. Since the tribal chief was a charismatic Christan, the casino auditorium site made some sense.
However, casinos as revival sites remind me a bit too much of Stranger in a Strange Land, where the hero winds up setting up shop for a time in the Digby church, where all vices were cool if done unto the Lord. They had church-owned casinos and brothels.
Rob,
What does JESUS think about this? Have you asked Him? His opinion is the only that matters, isn’t he our hero who died for us, there would be no christianity without JESUS. Those people couldn’t make so much money and parade punching people, shaking, twisting, toe curling, falling, barking, if it wasn’t for JESUS SUFFERING CRUELLY. They have NO RESPECT for what Jesus went through, it all boils down to that. If they had to die for the gospel I wonder how they’d react? Wait a second, a lot of people have NO relationship with Jesus. Maybe with religion and themselves as in narcisstic clowns and maybe with Bible verses (which is good but relationship with JESUS is not only and is more than just knowing a few Bible verses here and there).
Bentley going to hold a meeting in a casino is what Jesus would have done if He was on earth? Please!!! We’re talking about BENTLEY here not Jesus !!! Jesus IS HOLY and has PURE motives, HOW DARE YOU compare Jesus and Bentley. Have reverence for the ONE who died and so cruelly suffered for each ones of us. Yes Jesus loved prostitutes and tax collectors and I agree He would be reaching out to the hurting in Sin City….however He wouldn’t do it right on the streets, going to those people’s homes, in their communities. He wouldn’t be all about showing off (even if crowds gather around Him, He never shows off but HE JUST IS WHO HE IS) and he CERTAINLY would not try and get money off people. And He certainly wouldn’t hold a meeting in a casino, Jesus visited individuals and small groups of people in controversial places at times for social purposes BUT HE WENT TO THE SYNAGOGUS to preach or on mountain tops or in people’s homes or next to the lakes or in some upper room. Where in the Bible did Jesus preach in a prostitute’s harem, inside a den of thieves?
HE OVERTHREW the money changers in the church and you think He’d go and preach in a casino ?
There’s a difference between being led by God the Father and going inside a casino to witness to someone and HOLDING A CHRISTIAN MEETING in a casino.
Yes Jesus would have gone inside a casino to preach to someone or a group of people in a humble and low key way (although Jesus was so popular it was often not low key but in a good way not in a fleshly type of way) BUT I DON’T THINK Jesus would call CHRISTIANS from outside to come and worship inside a casino and attract huge crowds inside a casino to preach UNLESS when He entered a casino all the sinners went to Him and listened, in that case it would be SPONTANEOUS and I can tell you that even the owners would be fascinated. THE GREATEST ICON IN WORLD HISTORY….!!!
Give me a break !!! Do you really think those Bentley meetings have lost people in it, unsaved? Barely. I’ve been to so many of those in my lifetime (thank God I was rescued) and it’s 99% christians and there may be one or two unsaved but they usually don’t stay saved or don’t even get saved in the first place…BECAUSE THE TRUE GOSPEL IS NOT PREACHED !!! So no true conviction can happen !!
If you think Bentley and the likes have a burden for the lost people in that casino YOU ARE SADLY MISTAKEN…they have a burden for themselves, their egos and greed!!
NEVER EVER COMPARE JESUS The KING OF KINGS AND BENTLEY EVER AGAIN
Sorry I meant to say Jesus WOULD HAVE DONE it right on the streets, going to those people’s homes, in their communities. (inside 2nd paragraph)
My comment is still awaiting moderation
@Karamba
I found what you wrote to be really powerful and oh so true. We have to get back to preaching the pure uncompomised Gospel of Jesus Christ. Leadership in the “Body” of Christ had better shape up and live the Word in which they should be preaching/teaching.
@Karamba
I was trying to leave what Todd is doing out of this and just make a general comment about how I thought a casino was a great place to bring the gospel. Whether you agree with Todd and his methods here wasn’t my point. We need more people who are willing to take the message to the dark places in the world.
Having a ‘church service’ in a casino may not be your idea of what Jesus would have done, and I don’t think He would have either. But there is something powerful in worshipping God in a public place that allows his presence to be released. I have seen and experienced this many times. I have friends who go downtown in a large city and set up a ‘band’ on the street corner and just worship. People have been saved and healed just by walking by. There is no agenda to ‘preaching’ or getting people saved, its about releasing the love and presence of God through worship that changes the atmosphere around them. When people step into that atmosphere stuff happens.
I know another guy who plays music with a rather famous country singer. He is a spirit filled Christian. They don’t even sing ‘Christian’ songs, but he says the anointing of God comes during their concerts and unsaved people often lift up their hands and begin to worship God. He has played in Casinos and has seen this happen.
Why was Jesus so effective in ministry? It was because of the anointing of the Holy Spirit. It wasn’t what he said or did, it was the Holy Spirit coming out of Him that touched and saved people. Many times, all He had to do was just walk by, and the power would come out of Him.
We have reduced preaching the gospel to getting people to say a prayer. We measure our effectiveness by how many people got ‘saved.’ I’m sorry but Jesus didn’t preach salvation. He preached the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is not in words but in power. We are called to make disciples not converts. Where in the Bible does it say to get people to say a prayer and ask Jesus in their heart?
Jesus overturned the money tables in the TEMPLE not the CASINO. Big difference. Jesus was called a friend of tax collectors and sinners. There may not have been Casinos back then or harem’s but Jesus loved prostitutes and tax collectors on a daily basis.
As far as comparing Bentley to Jesus, I don’t know how you came to that conclusion. There is nothing irreverent about believing in who the Bible says we are. We are a royal priesthood, a holy nation. We are seated in heavenly places WITH Christ. He no longer calls us slaves but friends. We are co-laborers with Him. We are created in the image of God. We are called to walk in intimate fellowship with Him. We are called to do greater works. He has given us dominion and authority. We are saints, not sinners.
Believing anything less about ourselves is false humility. True humility is being confident in who God says we are. True reverence is the knowledge of who I am in Christ. I thank Jesus everyday for giving his life for mine and suffering for my sins, but I won’t let His death be in vain. By belittling who we are and calling it humility we are nothing more than self-martyrs. That is true irreverence. It deny’s the true power of the cross and what it did for us. We are called to be Holy as He is Holy.
No Todd is not Jesus. But if he is really and truly a child of God, then the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives inside of Him as it does all of us. We may not agree with his methods, their may be selfish ambition and greed, but these things exist inside all of us on some level. I can only let the HS convict me of my faults and the faults of others. I pray that despite any of his faults, that the Spirit of the Lord would flow through Todd and people would be saved, healed and delivered. Thats what it is about isn’t it?

I’ve got no problem with people meeting in a casino, but I would like to put forward the weaker brother argument.
Bentley abused booze during Lakeland – it probably wasn’t the first time or the last. He can get alcohol anywhere he wants; but why put people in a setting where it’s just outside the door – cheap and readily available? A lot of people going to his meetings would be vulnerable, to gambling (God is going to bless them so why not gamble with God), booze, drugs. He isn’t a role model of self-control.
@Bene
Just a hypothetical: Did God/Jesus ever create situations that He did not want us to partake in?
Three examples off the top of my head:
1. God placed the Tree of Knowledge in the garden and said not to eat of it’s fruit.
2. Jesus turned water into wine at a wedding where people had already drunk a lot.
3. Jesus told his disciples to get swords on their way to the garden before his arrest. Yet He rebuked Peter for using his sword.
My point: There can never be true obedience without the opportunity to disobey.
As Christians it can be easy for us to remove the wrong ‘tree’ from the garden instead of teaching others how to eat from the right tree.
Bentley is in a ‘perfect place’, theres hype, and we know he works with hype, theres the atmosphere of ‘entertainment’ and ‘he more than entertains (the gospel) for his audiences delight!!, there’s ‘the promise of’ atmosphere and he is always making promises ‘in Jesus name’ ‘he wouldn’t dare in his own!!, theres the atmosphere of expectancy (as in all gambling dens) and he ‘leads us all into expectancy with his rendition of ‘his interpretation of Jesus and his’ and then theres the ‘glitzy glitzy world of ………. and he likes (tacky!) that ………. yes Mr Bentley and co., have chosen exactly the right environmental atmospheric conditions for his version of the ‘gospels’….. the ‘punters’ well in high mood and high hope of the ‘big win’ and probably an open wallet to boot, well what can one say, are fodder ………… GOD HELP RENO before it goes under in any more false hope !!!!!!
@Hope
U refer to Bentley as a ‘punter.’ Have you ever heard of a man named Smith Wigglesworth?
Rob:
I have indeed heard of Mr Wigglesworth, read most of his books actually, in an effort to seek what was and wasn’t truth !!
I said ‘the punters’
Your point with Wigglesworth, I guess, is his ‘seeming miraculous powers of’ and in association thereof walks Bentley !
@Hope
My point with Wigglesworth was that he did many strange things with results. I am sure you have heard of the story of the dead guy’s wife. Smith came to his house to pray for the dead wife and proceeded to throw her up against the wall three times. She came back to life. I have heard many such strange stories from Wigglesworth and others.
A friend of a friend told me that once the Lord told him to go and stand on his head by the coke machine. He did and a man came up to him with his jaw dropped and told him that he had just asked God that if he was real that someone would go stand on his head by the coke machine. Stranger things have happened. A lot of people judge Todd for the strange things he has done in healing meetings. He is not the first or the last to do it.
Strange things do seem to take place ‘in the name of Jesus’ your right, ………… when they do – to be sure that they come from the right source’ – you have to be fervent in your journey to find the ‘right source’ and who is ‘behind the wrong one’…….
more credit is given today to the wrong source then the right one. Something is wrong with this picture.

Is there any news of the outcome concerning the meeting in Reno?
1. As usual … “They don’t even sing ‘Christian’ songs, but he says the anointing of God comes during their concerts and unsaved people often lift up their hands and begin to worship God. He has played in Casinos and has seen this happen.”
How bizarre is that? Non-Christians worshipping “God” LOLS. This is not even possible – except from a joyner brainwashee’s fuddled mind.
2. Did God/Jesus ever create situations that He did not want us to partake in?
Three examples off the top of my head.” Yes, off the top of YOUR head. You have zero knowledge of God. More heretical musings is all. Did God EVER put man in choice situations? Every second of every day we can choose to follow the Word or our own “top of empty/fallen/dark heads”. Self-worship is human reasoning.
3. Wigglesworth: ” I have heard many such strange stories from Wigglesworth.” Oh did you. Or ANECTDOTAL? LIARdon wrote those books. AKA not “S.W.”
STRANGE that though he was a star during the age of recording and film, and early tv – there are no (I canot find any) recordings of him speaking? His “miracles” are ALL undocumented. Jesus raised 3 from the dead; Peter and Paul one each. Hmm.
Smith Wiggles- a-lot-Worth lol …. idol of false prophets = SW to be a false prophet as well.

Even the rocks cry out!!
@laws
“off the top of my head” examples from THE WORD. READ IT. IT IS THERE.
are any of Jesus’ miracles ‘documented?’ NO. The Bible is other’s accounts of what they saw he did. No documented undisputed doctor and medically verified proof. Its called FAITH. I believe it because I believe God’s WORD is truth. Not because i have evidence.
In days of ‘deprivation’ many ‘latch on’ to a peoples need for hope. Anyone with a ‘wheeler dealer’ mentality can and does have a field day with that lack of hope. No names mentioned here!) At this point may I remind; that Lucifer and his crew are ‘par excellence ‘ at deception ………….. When I read Wigglesworth my main ‘searching’ was his claim to raise the so called dead and the healings he professed to have given ……… I heard him on tape and listen’d to his explanations or lack of them ………… He was in an era where psychic was at the forefront of many – which had seen a ‘revival’ during and after the war when so many had lost loved ones ………… Britain took to the phenomenon ‘for some reason’ of psychic and from what I gathered it was latched onto by mostly woman (I say that loosely) seeking news of their husbands whereabouts when reported missing and/ or lost during that time of war ……………. You get an atmosphere of that nature and people are willing to believe anything especially if it means they get some kin of comfort in the process …………. You have to remember that mediums were rife during that time …………… and still are in some pockets of almost every nation ……………. If there is one thing I detest above all things its deception ………. and so I wanted to know ……….. IS IT DECEPTION OR NOT ………. Many avenues led from the Wigglesworth (and others of that ilk) phenomenon and its legacy is not one of life, love or passion otherwise we would not need to question what ‘appears’ to have been to all intent and purposes, hope ………… JESUS DOES NOT LEAVE DOUBT BEHIND HIM EVER ………….. When you come across something that is ‘wow’ in the spiritual sense then its healthy to have A PARTICLE OF DOUBT that says ‘ hang on a minute’ where’s this comng from and where would it lead me …………… BLIND FAITH is not good – many would like it to be the norm….
@Hope
There will always always always be those who doubt. Look at those who were around Jesus here on earth. They constantly doubted and questioned Him. Some eventually believed and many didn’t. Many denied He was the Christ. Even the disciples, who were closest to Him, doubted constantly. “Oh ye of little faith,” was a phrase Jesus used quite often. Fear and doubt are the opposite of faith. They can blind us to seeing the real Christ.
I encourage you to re-read about the life of Wigglesworth. Not just what he did, but who he was. His passion, love and faith are undeniable when you read about how he lived.
Faith is blind. If you can see it, feel it and sense it then its really not faith. Faith isn’t believing in what is but what will or should be.
Faith Rob is another name for hope ………………. I LIKE TO KNOW WHERE I AM PUTTING MY HOPE ……………
Blind faith is ‘just going somewhere and hoping for a good result ………….. I LIKE TO MAKE SURE OF A GOOD RESULT …………………..
LOVE IS ……………… Don’t go there you’ll get disapointed and hurt by the illusions and hopes of those who maybe want to steal yours and deny the true ‘fath’ giving forth its flavour …………. Wigglesworth was hope to many …………. I wanted to know where his hope came from ………….. otherwise the hurt of disappointment just adds to the grief of lies that are already ‘out there’ ………………….. Mrs Bentley has shown signs of being ‘possesssed’ by something that is not ‘normal’ christianity’ ……….. JESUS DID NOT EXHIBIT THOSE SIGNS only the one possessed and the possesser himself did!! …………….. That should make you question source ………….. few seem to bother.
WHY I WONDER ………..
@Hope
Faith and hope are NOT the same thing. The Word is clear about that. In fact it distinctly separates the two. “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love…” The greatest of course being love, but there is a great difference between faith and hope.
“Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, a conviction of things NOT SEEN.” (Hebrews 11:1) Some translations say the “substance of things hoped for.” The word for ‘substance’ in the Greek is not a noun it is a verb. It implies an action. SO a better way to say it would be, “Faith is the substantiating of things hoped for.” Substantiating means I have a certain power or faculty that makes that substance to be real to me. A deaf person cannot her music and a blind person cannot see color. But the music and the color are still real. It is my eyes and ears that substantiate the color and the music. My natural senses cannot substantiate divine things, but we have one faculty that can: Faith. Faith makes the real things become real in my experience.
Facts are facts whether we believe them or not. Faith substantiates these ‘facts’ as real in our experience. I go further to say that the truth overrides the facts. If God’s word says it then I believe it through faith, even though I cannot feel it, see it, taste it or hear it. What may be visible to us as ‘fact’ may go against what God says is truth.
Take healing for example. The fact that we see is here is a sick person. The truth is God is our healer and in Him there is no sickness or disease. Therefore, I pray in faith that I am healed. I don’t just ‘hope’ i am healed. I believe it and proclaim it because I know through my faith that it is God’s truth. Hope doesn’t move mountains, Faith does.
I hope (no pun intended) that makes sense.
Faith is THE HOPE OF THINGS TO COME !!!!
The ‘kind of ‘ faith and hope that Todd is asking us to have is based on his version of who he thinks the lord is …………. I BEG TO DIFFER ………….
I have seen enough to convince me that if the lord wants healing then its not just down to those in the NAR cycle of religious life……… to bring it or expect it or give it ……….. they offer recycled and new ‘version’ ……………. I PREFER
the genuine article myself ….. and therefore went in search of him, ………… I would be a liar if my version was based on ‘second hand, regurgitated news,……….. or my interpretation as a witness of it ……………. therefore
I asked myself one day : In this climate of all who profess to know him: how would, if all they have been fed is bubble gum and popcorn …………they know the genuine aticle from the counterfeit ……….. if he turned up ………….. after all Todds cornered the market in miracles signs and wonders as have so many others !! So how would he show himself to us ……. You see rob stolen ID, as you know, is RIFE among us !! as are the words to justify its place ‘on the ‘platform’…………..
@hope
on the contrary, Faith is the ‘assurance’ or ‘substantiating’ of things HOPED for. It turns what is ‘hoped’ for into REALITY. Faith gives substance to the Hope.
Todd hasn’t ‘cornered’ the market. There are signs, wonders, healings and miracles taking place all over the world, most of which we don’t hear about. My uncle for example, goes into remote villages in the African jungle and sees miracles all the time. No platform, no television… nothing but Him and the Holy Spirit.
He’s a brave man your uncle, I have enough trouble in the urban jungle ‘never mind one with flies and mosquito’s ‘ ……
Now back to Mr Bentley’s hope of things to come …………
@Hope
I have faith that God will work out any of Todd’s false hope as He will with me and everyone else. I trust Him to handle it. He’s not concerned about His reputation, neither should we. “I will build my church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.”
I have faith that God will work on Todd’s false hope:
I am sure he will Rob otherwise there’ll be more people hurt than healed by Todds manna ……………..
@Hope
The truth is only God the Father can give us true manna. Anything that comes from our leaders or others is only regurgitated meat. While it may satisfy us on a level it is not the true life giving manna that only can come from the Father above. If what our leaders, pastors, prophets, teachers etc. give us isn’t moving us toward a closer relationship to the Lord then we need to question it. That is and always will be their role. They can’t give us true manna, but only lead us to the one that can. The biggest problem I see in the Church is that we are too dependent on our leaders to feed us when we should be getting fed straight from God ourselves. The ‘five-fold ministry’ is necessary but only as a back seat operative, not running the show.
I understand yours and many other’s grieving’s with Todd and his ministry. However, i think it represent a larger problem we have in the body. We have to be careful not to try and do the work that Jesus himself said He would do. Yes people get hurt all the time, but it isn’t our job to protect the sheep. It is the Shepherds. We are called to love those and to know that God is perfectly capable and big enough to work out the ‘issues’ and problems. Things are only going to change from the inside out, not the other way around. It starts with us.
smooth words, “My uncle for example, goes into remote villages in the African jungle and sees miracles all the time.”
So then what is “his” name then? Public ministries do not EVER hide their names. Put up or shut up? And where is my post quoting 2Pe 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. … can’t find it.
“The truth is only God the Father can give us true manna. Anything that comes from our leaders or others is only regurgitated meat. ”
The TRUTH is, that is 100% CRAP. If a pastor preaches the word of God – how DARE you call it VOMIT?
I pray God to answer this blasphemy.
Preachers and Pastors are giving us a ‘picture’ of those times when ‘Jesus ‘ walked ……. Some do it exceedingly well – Others, in a flamboyant style, like to embelish and ‘frill’ the life of Jesus – sometimes in the pocess adding life and ‘frill’ to their own ………… I have a local Catholic priest who gives a great rendition of the gospel that all can relate to and has a healthy attitude to his peers (pope and co.,) tendency to pomp …. its a joy to listen to him, which is what it should be ………… he’s good at hs job in other words!! To go deeper though you sometimes have to leave the ‘rut’ and life of others opinions and ways ‘the normal route and path and ‘take a leap’ into a place that has nothng to hold you up or keep you ‘warm’ – but him and his ……….. Preachers and so on are all versions of the word ………….. some good some bad ………… to get to the heart of the Father who is the word, you have to leave ‘their word’ and ways and put yourself totally in the hands of ‘FAITH HIMSELF’ the Father …………. What does that mean !! a massive pruning of where you have been, why you went there, and even the how of why you went there !! AND ABOVE ALL with whom …………. Preachers and Pastors don’t always have the time for such deep pruning ……. neither do we!! ………… THATS THE PROBLEM!! ….
The solution is to recognise that we have ‘got it wrong’ ……… then to begin to want put it right ……… then with the help of both Jesus and the Father, as our guides, how to begin a journey of reconstruction, reconciliation, restoration that brings revival as its end result ………..
Todd’s (+) definition of revival is ‘short cut’ hope …… its easy to get on that wave and ride it ………
@laws
My point was that if you are depending on someone else for ‘manna’ then you are missing it. It is not our pastors and preachers job to ‘feed’ us. It is there job to equip us. If they are not leading us to the true life and bread giver, Jesus, then we have to question it. We easily follow titles. The truth is that a leader can be anyone around you who can help you grow in your relationship with the Lord.
@Hope
I think the solution is simple. Each of has the ability to walk in fellowship with Christ in a deep relationship. We also have the call to walk in love and relationship to others. It starts and ends there. All the rest will come. We cannot build what Jesus said He would build, thats where we have gone wrong.
