There was no movement in the courts on the Benny and Suzanne Hinn for months, and then the flurry.
I’m not a lawyer, or a US citizen so I’m hesitant to interpret California court speak, and I haven’t seen anything from either Mrs. or Mr. Hinn stating they are now legally divorced. If anyone with knowledge of California law wants to wade in and explain, please do. It appears the end of this soap opera is near.
This is what my more knowledgeable US(?) friend has to say:
If you click “check marital status” it says “… There is no future hearing date scheduled. Although you are divorced you may have additional issues to be addressed by the court. If so, you need to request a hearing by filing an At Issue Memorandum form.”
So my conclusion is that they are definitely now divorced, and it was almost certainly finalized on Dec 29 2010. I don’t know if this was by design, but obviously the holiday period between Christmas and New Year is a good time to hide a bad news story.

Thanks for giving my comment a post of its own.
From my layman’s reading of the record, I would guess that the “judgment” is the actual divorce which Hinn has accepted (the next line up, which I think is an abbreviated form of “declaration – definite or uncontested dissolution”). The judgment can then be entered in the official record (“notice of entry of judgment”) and that’s it – they’re divorced.
The other lines including top two appear to relate to division of property – Suzanne has required Benny to disclose his assets and earnings and is making claim on them, and Benny is responding. It look like this is still ongoing.

Your comment certainly deserved to be highlighted sooner – the message ‘you are divorced’ didn’t come up for me this morning either and hasn’t when I’ve checked the site, which has been a few times a month.

There seem to be some issues regarding a 403(B) retirement account, but it appears that this was a final decision and that no trial was needed. This is case number 10D000898, if your readers want to see the details.
However, there is some ongoing activity, as Benny has responded to one of the legal issues on Monday 1/3. The divorce might be final, but the financial details might be still a work in progress.

The Hinns have been divorced since December. It’s over.
Why would the body of Christ be let down? Are your eyes on a pastor who is man or on Jesus? Pastor Benny is a very Godly man. If his wife chose to leave him, then she chose to leave him. If he traveled a lot, he was no different than other pastors and preachers who travel; perhaps Mrs. Hinn couldn’t deal with it any longer. It is not the end of the world. Dr. Charles Stanley’s wife left him and he is an awesome man of God. His ministry didn’t end because his wife decided to leave. There are such weak Christians who are so judgmental. They need to focus their judgment on their own lives before sitting in judgment of others. Jesus said he who is without sin cast the first stone. They all threw their stones down. Stop being a pharisee and be a believer in Jesus.

The iceberg principle is the observation that in many (if not most) cases, only a very small amount (the ‘tip’) of information is available or visible about a situation or phenomenon, whereas the ‘real’ information or bulk of data is either unavailable or hidden. Our Holy Father in Heaven has endless forgiving to all of us whatmore to those speaking for Jesus His only Begotten Son I think benny’s wife should carry the cross some more and not give benny up, so now benny and paula can get together now with blessing of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is possibilty.
I believe too much in instant and and endless forgiving when Christ is in your heart and there is the Holy Spirit to correct situation further.

Love said to him – I know you have suffered my ‘son’ but if you hadn’t then the world would have ended on a sour note – and they would never have known me!

I don’t advocate a turn or burn explaination of the gospels. One thing I do see, is because of Jesus Christ’s death, humanity can approach God with faith and repentance. From there, I understand why Jesus would want to reach our souls. To me that’s the best miracle in the world, to reach a soul. To repent and and learn not to repeat the same sin. No throwing stones here.

That’s no miracle Susan. That’s what conscious intelligent beings do when they know they have done wrong. It doesn’t take any divine intervener to admit you screwed up and try not to do it again. Even us infidels do that.
If that’s the extent of power the cross and resurrection accomplished to overcome “sin”, then your Jesus died for something that is remediable by mere will power.
Jesus didn’t die for mankind so that it could learn to live right.
He died for all mankind BECAUSE they couldn’t live right … and needed a Saviour.
If mere human will power controls our lives, then what is the results from our struggles? Where is our worth when mankind fails? Who will we rely on for strength in the weaknesses of our humanity? What really motivates or vigor for power and control? Who can really destroy the chaos in ones life, with his own peace? Just a few questions, that I really don’t expect any answers concerning them. For me, I choose to lift up my strength, frail as it is, to the Prince of Peace. You know, Jesus Christ. There I find my lamp and candle to see my way through diffult moments in my life.

The scriptures are clear on adultery. Do not be deceived by Benny Hinn. God will reveal all in his time and he will be exposed for what he is. Its a sad story, but not for those who are against Benny Hinn ministries. What Pastor Benny teaches from the Word of God has anointing in it, hence I dont have reason to doubt it is false or the miracles and testimonies arent true. They are all true and ppl have been saved,,,healed and delivered and set free! This is God working through his servant. Just because he is a man of God that dont mean he is perfect! Only Jesus Christ was perfect. And who are we to even think or imagine or judge and come into conclusion that this man is a sinner? Hey! arent we all sinful in are own nature? We are made new when we are born again into the Kingdom but can anyone deny that he never sinned after he became a new person?
Satan cannot do anything bcoz he is defeated but he is a schemer! So bcoz he is against Pastor and what he is doing to serve God he must have worked out a plan to bring him down. Thats what Satan does best.
Pls remember how David vowed to himself never to touch Saul bcoz he was anointed. Saul may have done wrong towards God and was wanting to kill David but David never tried to kill Saul coz he respected the Lords anointed.
The same way, we must never criticize or degrade a fellow Christian, be it a Pastor or a small person in the church… we are all brothers and sisters in Christ. And when we know someone is going thru hardship..we need to come to gether and pray everyday for Gods hand to keep moving and the cancel the work and plans of the enemy!
We do not support and agree about things that dont please God. but we must in Love be considerate and thoughtful of how we think and write and talk about ppl who are especially Gods servants. God loves them all and He loves us all equally.

Lets continue to trust God for who He is and what His word says and walk in the spirit not in the flesh. This way we can overcome any situation and we must never forget that we have the power to create situations and bring life or death with our tongue ( prov 18:21).
Without God we cannot have peace..we cannot depend on our own conscience bcoz we are spirits in a decaying body and need renewal everyday. We may try our best to do the right things in our own physical abilities but we get tired and the time comes when we have to give up… but when we have Jesus’s Spirit in us it enables us to do things with the right attitude and walk in righteousness and find strength and courage in difficult times. It truly gives satisfaction! So we need to be dependent on God alone.

There are many Pastors divorcing and creating extramarital affairs outside the will of God. In the Book of Timothy are the qualifications of Office of Bishop and Deacons. As well as Elders of the church. And in the Book of Acts, the Apostles and Elders sought out men of good report and full of the Holy Ghost. If I’m not mistaken the Spirit of God left Samson when he was beguiled by Delilah. I know of Pastors that are supporters of Benny Hinn and have had serious issues with adultery and fornication and divorce. How could any post on here support such sin. I’m sure Apostle Paul would of sharply rebuked these Pastors/Preachers in leadership positions. King David was repentant of what he did…and we all have read the truth of his sin. And it devastated his family as a result as you can see in the Books of Kings and Samuel. Also just today I heard Benny Hinn preach to a Bible Study group that we need to “seal the covenant” with God when we have “dinner” with Him, as an example of the last supper. But wait…werent we already “sealed with the Holy Spirit” when we “believed on the Name of Jesus Christ”??? It seems like to me that in the Book of Acts thousands of believers were baptized with the Holy Spirit…and our redemption draweth nigh…study to show thyself approved…rightly divide the word of truth…

For the life of me I don’t understand why Christians lay in wait for someone to fall into sin. You should get the plank out of your own eye first! Judgement belongs to God alone, not one of us wants to be punished for our sins, yet we want to crucify a brother in the Lord because we “think” he sinned. It’s none of our business! Rather than judge him, we should be praying for him! The gifts and callings of God are not based on us being “good.”. I hear alot of people wanting to put him up on the cross when Jesus already paid the price for our sin, past present and future.

Perhaps the curse of the Christian church is the lack of policing within it’s ranks and the inevitable fallout from what many perceive as ineffective controls over outright fraud and hypocrisy. Since the “church” is an organized (sic) group of sorts, it’s normal to see a set of rules in place to govern behavior – otherwise what results is bedlam, and a wholesale abandonment of the culture. We are witnessing that exodus as we speak with an attrition rate of 1-2 million Christians annually alone in the USA, and probably equal distribution in Canada. This alone spells disaster for Christianity, and the mass abandonment may well result from what many perceive as a wayward church beyond the control of even god himself. Look at any small town in the USA and notice the number of church buildings for sale. And don’t point to the mega churches, because as we all know, they rob members from existing congregations.
Your lack of biblical understanding of judgement is a reflection of why the church is indeed in such turmoil. Your recommendation to “pray for him” is a hopeless gesture since Christian funded studies have concluded that prayer doesn’t work.
Judgment is indeed called for in your bible, as I have learned in 3 decades of study. It is grossly twisted by most pastors who themselves would prefer a dumb congregation
rather than a group of believers who can actually think for themselves. If you took a little more time to study the subject from a biblical point of view instead of spouting such nonsense, I think you’d come to a better conclusion. Sadly it takes the efforts of an atheist or agnostic to point out just how poorly most Christians know their bibles.

The origin of the history of the Old Testament were mostly written in Hebrew with some Aramaic. What’s very interesting to me are the many translations prior to the first printed Bible. From the holy books of Judaism we have our Old and New Testaments. The Bible translated in many languages, all around the world, all the way up to the twenty first century. That’s a lot of roots to dig up.
So, to think that biblical scripture has not evolved over time is simply not the case. For the truth is worth the search, when it’s revealed that biblical scripture has merit.
Susan, surely you must know that the Old Testament was written practically two thousand years before the invention of Printing. The few copies in existence, were maintained by individuals who interest might have lead them to interpose interpolations, and whose ignorance most certainly led to mistakes.
Do you understand that Hebrew was composed entirely of consonants, without any points or symbols standing for vowels, so that anything resembling accuracy was totally impossible? Try this for yourself, Susan, by writing an English sentence, and leave out the vowels. It will take more inspiration to read than to write a book with consonants alone.

From the Septuagint to the when Gutenberg produced the first printed Bible, biblical scripture continues to evolve. It reaches into each era and culture. The translations travel through the span of time.
Yes, even our pictographic meanings have evolved, along with time. We now have biblical scripture on CD Roms and websites. It’s our history of the Bible with the translations up to now.
